I previously had a bosch 18v but the battery performance was not great (one battery poor at holding charge) and very slow to charge. When I got fed up of the poor battery performance and is often the case, decided to buy a whole new kit as it was cheaper. I opted for the Dewalt to have professional performance.I am not dissapointed and whilst approximately double the cost of the standard 18V / 2 x battery and drill offerings from the likes of Bosch or Black and decker, it is definitely worth the extra money. Easy to use, well balanced, quick charge batteries and the hammer action is also very good.

I bought this as a replacement for an old NiCad powered driver which took hours to charge and lost it's charge in 30 mins, so was looking for a new driver with 2 batteries. Look no further if you are too.Quick charge. Long life batteries. Easy bit/drill change. Feels light, but clearly powerful. I used this on a 4 x 8m decking project and it never let me down for drilling in wood and as a driver for the 1,000+ deck screws. I haven't used it for masonry drilling yet (with so many screws) as I didn't want to tempt fate, so used an old corded power drill.I wasn't looking at DeWalt products (thinking they were too expensive for a DIY'er) and was comparing Stanley or lower-end Bosch drill/drivers,

Battery failed after little use on my old NiCad DeWalt so was reluctant to buy brand again.Went for it because of value for money, review and with the two batteries.No regrets brilliant, shocked when first arrived and saw the small size but the power and battery life amazing and when you have this in such a small light unit makes some jobs so much easier, hammer excellent as well.Nice little extra is the little neon headlight, great for drilling in those bad light situations.Early days yet but after 3 months superb.

Best drill i've ever owned. Light, compact & really packs a punch. It drills through masonry like a knife through butter & the battery life is excellent....... If your unsure as to whether this drill is good enough to do what you need it to do then do not hesitate, this drill will not let you down! I love it, the best tool i've ever had in my tool box..... Exceptional quality & totally fit for purpose.

My last cordless, which was a Ryobi 18v lasted me well, but never felt all that sturdy and the batteries have pretty much given up on me now. This one is perfect. Smaller, lighter, tougher and stronger. The speed of the gear box is far quicker. Presented in a nice box as well. Couldn't ask for anything better in a Cordless Drill.

I brought this as a birthday present for my husband and he loves it. He can get a 'little' stressed (shall we say LOL) when things don't go right and I can gauge how good a product is by how many swear words emanate from where he is.............not one when he uses this product. Would highly recommend.

It's DeWalt, that's it. Lasting batteries, 2 of them, lots of power, percussion makes holes in walls a breeze. It is a real substitute for a corded drill. The feeling is of a robust product, well balanced and not too heavy. Very satisfied, also for the price you pay for this little beast.

Bought as a birthday pressie for husband. He is thrilled to bits. Very speedy delivery. Well packaged. Excellent value for money as it has two batteries included and most other retailers selling same drill at around this price with just one battery.

Still going strong after a year of heavy use.Good build quality, the batteries last longer than expected and the carry case is ideal for transport & storage. Not the cheapest 18v portable on the market but definitely one of the best.

I Dont regret buying this. Took ages to decide on which drill to buy. Having two batteries is useful and they charge pretty quick. Powerful motor and the hammer action is good. Nice chuck which doesn't seem to come loose.

Arrived on time (in fact 5 days early) so was very pleased, packaging was just right no waste and the drill looks good, I haven't used it yet but if operation is as good as it looks I will be very pleased!!

Had loads of Bosch drills before this but the DeWalt drill is excellent. Battery life is exceptional. I bought some DeWalt screw bits separately and they work great with the drill.

Great delivery, ordered Saturday delivered Monday.Much lighter than previous battery drills.Batteries smaller but last longer.Quite expensive but, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.

Everything I expected from a Dewalt. Compact, well designed, powerful. Love the work light. If a woman can fall in love with a drill this is the one.

Wow, used competitors for years, this is expensive but its the dogs. Case is a bit flimsy but otherwise great. Charger quick (1.5A batteries)
