I have played all of the Lost Planet games and I have to say that by far this is the best. I did not enjoy lost planet 1, but I enjoyed lost planet 2 a lot.Lost planet 3 offers a much better story line that the previous 2 games, for one the game is revolved around one character Jim Peyton, in Lost Planet 2, you were a normal soldier in a group where as in Lost Planet 3 you have a main protagonist. Also in this game, you are able to choose between side missions and normal missions, there is also a central base with 3 floors, on one of the floors you are able to go to an armoury to buy new weapons and add attachments to them in order to make them better to give you a better fighting chance against the akrid.You also get your own mechanical RIG. I would say that overall the game has the right amount of hours game play in it. One thing you may notice about the game is that it has a strong resemblance to dead space. The game is great however, but in normal difficulty, even the best Lost Planet players may struggle as weapons become insanely weakHere are the brief pointsPros- Stunning Graphics- Personal mechanical RIG- Easy Control over Character and RIG- Fast travel option- Optional and side missions- Armoury for weapons and upgrades- Fascinating Storyline, the game revolves around one character instead of a main solider in a group like in Lost Planet 2Cons- Strong resemblance to Dead Space- In Normal or higher difficulty, weapons become insanely weak, EG, I once had a boss fight, after emptying both of my weapons the boss was not even close to death, so even experienced Lost Planet 3 players may find it challenging- The game lacks customisability options other than for weapons- Sprinting is slow- Main elements of the HUD randomly disapear during missions which you cannot retrieve until the end of the missionSo in conclusion, the game is Exciting and fun, it is not the best game in the world but I would certainly recommend. There are a few cons to the game but nothing so bad it would drive you away from the game

This is one of the most atmospheric shooters I have played, it is on the same level as the first Dead Space game.If you like the Dead Space games and Red Faction Armageddon you should definitely have a look at Lost Planet 3.It is a top-notch sci-fi horror shooter with great atmosphere, characters, storytelling, combat and music.Unlike the previous games Lost Planet 3 feels more like a horror game, where the atmosphere is perhaps the most important aspect of a game.Playing it you quickly realize just how closely inspired it is by the films 'The Thing' and 'Alien'. It shows in the music, designs and visuals.The world in Lost Planet 3 is dark and claustrophobic.The landscapes remind me of LV-426 in the 'Aliens'film crossed with that of 'The Thing'.It is a cold, dark and foreboding place. The developers made the GUI as sparse as possible, increasing the tension in the atmosphere.They did a great job with the music as well. It is very tense when it needs to be and hectic during battle.The lead character has much more depth than those in the previous two games. It is actually closer to something you'd see in a Rockstar game.The storyline is deeper and more intriguing than before. It feels more "serious". It is well written and cinematic.What's new in the gameplay is that you can upgrade your weapons, some of your skills, and your mech. Most of it you can't do immediately in the game.What's also new is the first-person cockpit view for your mech movements and fights.You have main missions and side missions. Doing the latter grants you upgrades and currency.There's more variety in the enemies and they seem to have more unique abilities than in the previous games.Lost Planet 3 was big surprise for me, I liked both of the previous games but this one has really hit the mark.

I've always enjoyed the Lost Planet franchise. It's not one of Capcom's wider known games but is still popular amongst loyal fans like myself.The gameplay still keeps to its traditional ways with their unique and dynamic environments.The graphics are more detailed with hi resolution graphics than ever before.The game delivers a wide range of gameplay including on-foot battles and intense first person action.I personally rate this game 10/10 overall.Overall I'm very pleased with the third instalment of this game and very pleased with the timely dispatch from Amazon.

If you loved Lost Planet 1 and 2 then you'll probably hate this one as it really has nothing in common with the gameplay from those 2, the pacing is way slower in this game, but like me I thought 1 and 2 had great boss battle but found the gameplay very clumsy, the story bland and very frustrating, but 2 was still enjoyable on co-op, this has no co-op and a small multiplayer component, but It has a better story and decent gameplay, I never got frustrated with this unlike the other 2, but seriously expect to hate this if you loved the other 2.

It's not made by the Japanese in Capcom this time but instead from America so it's no surprise the game wasn't as creative and crazy big like the previous two. The monsters are small and repetitive. There's only one boss monster that's tiny compared to the older games.The strength of this game is the story. There are more emotions and character development that the older games didn't have. The gameplay is similar and takes place within the same timeline. It's worth playing if you're a fan of the series even if you might not enjoy it haha.

This game requires steam account and works perfect with this client.One of the best games for 2013 with incredible graphics and rockin gameplay fighting aliens and massive bosses.Has top weapons like pistols,shotguns and massive ones too plus has stunning mechs to ride throughout stunning environments.Overall game is full of action and amazing graphics with giant mechs making game more exciting and giving nice atmospheric experience,this game won't disappoint but will give hours of gaming fun.

This game was delivered to me in top condition and runs perfectly fine so I'm happy with my product.The game itself is really fun but can be at times frustrating especially with certain enemy types and the whole online upgrading system is a slow system that rewards you if you play long enough.I don't really what to go in depth here so I will end it here saying that I give this game a rating of 9/10.

I have no idea what all the bad reviews are about, this game is a significant improvement on 1 and 2. Very fun to play and a good story which will fill in the gaps of 1 and 2. The controls are a little hard to master if you're using PS3 but configuration options are always a good thing.Capcom did a good job on this one.

I do not know what all the bad reviews about this game is about its fun to play and a good arcade action shooter !! Defiantly a big improvement on the 2nd lost planet im enjoying this so far !! Ignore all bad reviews not as bad as everyone making out in my oppinion .

It's a good game apart from it's a lot harder to get used to than the last couple as following the instructions of the controls is harder than the previous games also you seem to spend more time in the depot more than in the action

Great game, fun, good origin story and game play. Only problems are the fact that the game lacks replay value, and the game seems like it is trying to be Dead Space at times.

It's like 'Dead Space 3' meets 'Red Faction' with some Big Mech action! The graphics are top notch and the aliens will make you jump and run away with a grin?

The start of the game is really good, once it gets into the main story of freaky monsters I didn't like it so much.Good delivery and good packaging though!

This is a fantastic game. For those like science fiction is guaranteed fun. reminds the John Carpenter's The Thing in some respects. Buy that's worth.
