My eyebrows were overplucked when I was younger as that was the fashion then. As I have got older they have also become sparser and paler. These days thicker, well defined eyebrows are the fashion. Whilst I have no desire to copy the huge, very obvious eyebrows seen on many younger women, I do want to make my brows more defined. I think nice, clearly defined eyebrows make a woman's face more attractive and emphasises her eyes. I have tried numerous products - pencils, powders, creams etc, etc. I really liked this product. It was very easy to use. There was no need to sharpen the pencil as it was retractable and you simply twisted the container in order to wind the pencil up and down. This also meant that the pencil was protected and you were less likely to break it. The point of the pencil is fine so it applied in fine strokes and it was simple to apply it as subtly (or otherwise) as you chose. I used the colour warm brunette but I would probably choose a lighter brown if buying again. The addition of a highlighter at the other end of the pencil was an interesting idea and one which I had not come across before. I probably wouldn't use the highlighter in the daytime but would definitely use it in the evening when I am wearing more make up. All in all this was a good eyebrow pencil, reasonably priced, and I would buy it again. I would also add that it looked natural and lasted really well.

Obtained for “the management” – here are her comments:-Cool Blonde 102Hubby got this for me from Vine and I really like it.I like the twist up and down of the colour and also the end cap so all is protected, with no messy pencil in make-up bag.I thought it was only a highlighter, until I saw photos on line of a double ended pencil and then found the other end was a brow pencil. (silly me)The colour of the pencil is not for me, as I have dark brown hair but it would suit lighter Browns or cooler Blondes. As a first timer to doing my brows, except for tweezing them, so I look tidy, by removing stray ones, I had to try it out.On looking at ‘Youtube’ videos, so I got it right,I found a small toothbrush from one of the many kits you get on planes to brush up my brows and it worked well, especially when blending in.The pencil went on smoothly and I soon had a nice, looking brow, but a little misshapen, but it was a try out! I did use the tip, of a cotton bud to remove any mistakes and in the end was happy with the resultThe I used the Highlighter end just below the brow line and this made the look even better. It is also nice for the cheeks over your blusher. As I have said the colour is not for me, but I think I will invest in one that does, as the result was surprising.I would certainly give a 5 out of 5 for this product

Ive never used a twist up brow pencil before. I actually have full dark eyebrows but they still need work. I use a pencil to even them out and define the edges. I prefer a pencil that will give a sharp precise line to mark in individual lashes where im missing them, rather than a pencil that just blocks in the whole brow. This is a brilliant pencil for drawing in individual lashes, its a very fine twist up pencil with a slim lead. This colour is black or at the very least almost black. The lead doesnt need sharpening but if you want a very fine point you can chisel the end a bit with a knife or against some rough paper. The twist up function is easy to operate and the lids fasten on with a definiteclick so are unlikely to fall off.The other end of the pencil is thicker highlighter pencil with a creamy shiny texture. I like putting highlighter underneath my brows so this is a handy function. i also add it to the very inside corner of my eyes and my cupids bow on my lips. I really like the highlighter, its a very bright pink white with an irridescent sheen. This is a handy multifunction pencil that would suit anyone whos brows need a bit of filling in but who likes to draw indiviual lashes in. The effect lasts well.

Tried out by my wife, who was reasonably impressed. (She felt it was good value at the current Amazon price of £5.81, but on the expensive side at the RRP of £7.99 – there is only about 5 cm of each product.)“The pencil defined my eyebrows and did not smudge for all the time I was out and about. It started to fade after about six hours, but I think that’s reasonable. It went on well and stayed on well. The colour is more dark brown than black, but that's good, as black can be quite harsh on your brows. The definer has a nice thin point, so it is very easy to use it accurately, and by turning it slightly sideways it is simple to fill in your brows too.For me, the highlighter is superfluous. It did a fair job, but I would prefer to have more of the definer. (A different opinion from our grand-daughter: she thought it was a good shade, very pigmented and stayed on a long time.)I like the retractable feature. It is simple to twist to get more out, and the caps keep the ends safe; they are quite hard to remove, which is a bonus, as there is little risk that they will come loose in your cosmetics bag.”

I am a huge fan of L’Oreal products and have quite a few on my dressing table. They are of good quality, well priced, nicely packaged and do not go too over the top with spurious claims of instant transformation. So when I receive another item for review, I freely admit to being biased in its favour though that would not stop me from saying if I had reservations. My only reservation is in unscrewing both ends which I found a little fiddly. The eyebrow pencil is thin so no bluntness to make your eyebrows look too heavy. I was able to feather the colour strokes in beautifully which is good for me as I have very light blonde eyebrows and have to be careful not to over do the colour. Once that was done,I then untwisted the other end and applied the highlighter under the widest part of my bone under the coloured eyebrow. I had completely finished one eyebrow in order to contrast with the other which was untouched. The completed side looked defined and shaped my face.Very very pleased with this and it combines two in one which is a brilliant idea.

This twist up double ended pencil is a bit thicker to hold in you hand than a normal pencil but you soon get used to it feeling a bit bulkier. The eyebrow colour was a good cool colour match- definitely not reddish or warm in colour- so a good natural shade for eyebrows. The pencil itself was very thin which meant you could get a good thin line which meant in filling and lining brows could be quite natural. However you could also build colour very easily and get a much stronger defined look if that is your thing. The colour lasted well all day and my eyebrows looked the same at the end of the day.The highlighter was a really pretty pearly pink and was easy to apply underneath the brow line- it looked very shimmery and would definitely be used every day by myself- however I can't say that the highlighter lasted as well as the eye pencil. But a handy little set and in good tones- as I have on occasion purchased browns that have been too red/chestnut in colour and looked a little odd- so this will give you a great neutral cool tone.

L'Oreal Paris High Contour Brow Pencil & Highlighter DuoThis is a super little eyebrow kit that's handy for when you're on the go. First, using feather strokes, fill in any gaps and build up the eyebrow to the shape and volume you want; then draw a slick of highlighter underneath to tidy up the underside. The fine point of the eyebrow crayon works really well for feather strokes, and the slim highlighter means it can be applied with precision underneath the eyebrows, but also on other points on the face such as the inner eyes and cupid's bow. It works a treat! On the down side, without winding up the entire product (and risking it not going back in again!), you can't know how much there is left in the pencil before going out. Therefore I'll be using this on days out or overnight stays rather than taking it on holiday. You will also need to take a separate spoolie brush with you to tidy your eyebrows before use because the pencil does not do that. For sale at the time of writing this review at £7.99.

I have used a lot of different brow products over the years in search of the perfect brow. The two most important criteria for me are colour and texture. L’Oréal have a comprehensive range of colours and the Cool Blonde which I tried was ideal for me. It looks greyish but its cool tone is so much more flattering on me than the warm toned red tinged brow products. Texture wise it’s very good as it’s neither too soft (crayon like) not too hard (scratchy). It’s fine enough to pencil in false hairs. The highlighter is pinkish but therefore more natural than white shimmer. It’s reminiscent of Benefit High Brow but a lot cheaper.I also use the highlighter end in the inner eye area if I’ve had little sleep and need a bit of brightening. The only reason for not giving five stars is that this would be a perfect eyebrow pencil if it had a spoolie on the end. I would forego the highlighter end and buy it separately. The brows look better if I brush them through after colouring. Almost perfect!

I have not had much experience with highlights, on contours for that matter. But my daughters use them a lot, so it was nice to have a dual product as its a much more costs effective way to try new things. It will also save time as both items will be in one place when needed.Comes with the brow pencil and cream highlighter on one stick. Both ends have their own lid and each has a twist action to reveal the product. so you wont need a pencil sharpener. I've lost count of the unused blunt pencils I don't use anymore because I don't have the right size sharpener. To use first apply the brow pencil to fill in brows in a natural way, then use the highlighter below and on the brow bone.I tested 102 cool blonde on my daughter who has fair skin and blonde, and she found it too pale. But her age group tend to opt for a more dramatic eyebrow.Tip, I now do my brows and eyes before foundation after seeing a tutorial online. Its so much more effective and the product stays in place.

I have fair & thin eyebrows (from being a 90’s teenager & over plucking them) but my hair is dyed black. I colour my brows but I feel they need a bit of a sketch over to make them fuller. I struggle sometimes with my thyroid & I go through spells of them thinning or falling out in patches. Before lock down, I had made up my mind to have microblading but that’s on hold obvs. I’ve had better eyebrow pencils but not for this price. This deserves 5stars for the price as well as being a good one. I like the fact it’s a twisty pen, I never have a sharpener when I need one, it’s a nice under brow highlighter that I’ve found handy to highlight my nose. The actual brow part is easy to use & it isn’t too heavy but it does take a little work to build it up on the brow. It stays put for a good amount of time also. I’d buy it again & I’d recommend. If you’re used to something more with a bit more drama then it’s maybe a little underwhelming but overall I like

... need to be clearer. As you can see from the 'before' and 'after' images, there's a decent amount of difference to my rather sparse 90s-victim of an eyebrow, and I couldn't be more pleased with the lasting power. I did think that the colour EBONY should have been closer to black for a shade called, well, EBONY, but to me it looks more like a dark shade of brown. Still, against my Asian skin, I don't think it looks too bad, and no doubt familiarity with applying this will help application look more natural. It's lasted about 4 hours on a warm day, with normal touches/brushes to the skin, without any transfer onto my hands and without any 'feathering' onto my skin.It is a little expensive,so it wouldn't be my first choice of purchase - there are far too many similar products out there right now that do a similar job for a lot less money - but it is decent enough.

This is a 2-in-1 double-ended eyebrow pencil and highlighter duo.The brow pencil has a precise tip for creating fine hair-like strokes which can be built up to give the desired depth of tone and coverage. The other end of the pencil is a highlighter tip which accentuates arches and brightens the arch to improve the overall look of the eye area.It gives a natural-looking definition without resulting in an overly structured brow. I don't need to use much, just some filling and definition at the edge of my brow but I found that it lasted the day and I didn't notice any smudges. It is a twist-up pencil so no sharpener needed. It's best use, in my opinion, is for travel or to carry in a bag for touching up make-up during the day.Having two products in one is convenient but doesn't make for practical value-for-money. For travel, however, it is a compact solution.

I have recently become a it of an eyebrow convert with various products flooding the market. I have my go to brow pencil but was intrigued to try a different brand. The biggest difference for me was that for the same price you get the added bonus of a highlighting contour stick at one end in addition to the brow pencil. I love the brow pencil end and the colour (brunette) was a decent match for me. However the highlighting/contour stick was a chubbier thicker type of pencil at the other end. It took me a little while to get used to this but actually now I think I have mastered the best way to use it on myself I am getting very used to the effect it creates.I think for the price this eyebrow pencil alone is a great comparison to the one I currently use and has the added bonus of the extra on it. For me a really decent price and a really decent product!

As a seventies teenager I am a product of that era with over plucked eyebrows so rely heavily on eyebrow pencils and highlighters to give me a more natural and up to date look without resorting to threading or tattooing. This retractable pencil and highlighter from L'Oreal does exactly what it is supposed to. Defines and shapes my eyebrows and helps to make them look naturally thicker, I am so pleased with it, no smudges and lasts the duration. Applied first thing, been out to lunch, and out for drinks with friends this evening and My eyebrows look as defined and naturally shaped as they did this morning.Whilst the highlighter hasn't got the wow factor it certainly gives my eyes a boost, this colour is a bit dark for me on th eyebrows but blended in it looks absolutely fine. One of the better eyebrow pencils and highlighters I have used.

I have to admit it, I'm a bit of a fan of doing my eyebrows - and by that, I mean doing not that much to them. Like a quick flick of an eyebrow pencil, and that's it. I like this product, mainly because it's got two uses! The first is the eyebrow pencil - which is nice and thin and more like a crayon, it's easily blendable, it suits my blonde-ness (although light brunettes can certainly apply here) and it looks really nice on. I also like the highlighter too, there's two shades of this highlighter, so I went for the warm rather than the cool. The highlighter is this lovely gold colour, and I used it underneath my brows and blended (again, this blends really easily) and it certainly gives me a bit of a boost!Of course, you can use this highlighter in other places too, like eyelids and stuff. All in all, I really like this product!
