This is the second Logitech MK270 I received. The first one had two keys which didn't register and the left mouse button often didn't recognise a double click. Return and replace procedure very easy and quick. All keys work on this keyboard and it's a pleasure to touch type. There is group separation of the keys so there's a definite space between the main keyboard, the direction keys with delete, insert etc and then the number pad. My previous MS keyboard didn't have this separation with the result that I often hit the insert key instead of the backspace one. The Caps Lock has an indicator on the top right of the keyboard but does not have one for Numbers Lock.Only time I find this a problem is with entering passwords where input is hidden on screen but I appreciate that companies are trying to conserve battery power. It is very stable on the desk and I haven't experienced any sliding problems with it. Key movement is more than that found on laptop type keyboards and for me, and I would imagine other touch typists, it's far preferable. I've only had this for a couple of days so obviously cannot comment on reliability but initial impressions are good. The average sized mouse is very comfortable, even for long periods but I should state that I have small hands. It slides on the desk top very smoothly but it should be noted that my desk is black. I tried it on a sheet of white paper and it was completely unresponsive so those with a light coloured desk would require a mouse mat. Left or right single clicks are instantaneous and accurate but double left clicks don't always register and sometimes have to be repeated. This also happened on the returned set so I assume it's a general fault and is the reason for a star being deducted. The scroll wheel has slight resistance so there's no problem of pages shooting up the screen uncontrolled. Apart from the double click problem it's a great product for me. I use my pc for hours of photo processing so the mouse is in constant use and I have no problem with aching fingers or wrists. As with the keyboard, I have no idea what long term reliability will be like.My PC is on the desk top so the distance to the receiver is only about half a metre. However, I have tried it out from the other side of the room, three and a half metres and it reacted in exactly the same manner with no dropped characters. For the price, it's very good value and I recommend it.Update, June 2020:Mouse decided to make double left clicks when only one required and often taking no action at all or the wrong action with either left or right clicks. The keyboard is still working well so not bothering to return and have ordered a Microsoft mouse instead. Not quite so comfortable in the hand but we'll see how long term reliability is in due course.

This review is based on a week's use of the MK270. This Logitech Wireless Combo MK270 with Keyboard and Mouse (UK QWERTY Layout) works well but with two important caveats that prevent me from giving five stars. You get a small USB receiver, keyboard, mouse and batteries. The receiver is really tiny and plugs into one of your computer's USB ports so only occupies a single USB socket although it receives signals from both keyboard and mouse. It was all working in seconds in Windows 10.The mouse has no red 'laser' light underneath as some do, but worked well and was comfortable in the hand. It's great not to have a cord getting in the way or knocking over your coffee as you move the mouse around. The mouse has the normal left and right button, plus a smooth roller between the mouse buttons. The mouse is quite small but suited my hand well. The keyboard has a really good feel, the keys are not too noisy, and it is easy to use. Both mouse and keyboard have an on-off switch but I left mine on as I believe they auto-power off when not actually in use. I certainly had no issues with battery life.I mentioned that two issues prevent me from giving five stars: both concern the keyboard as the mouse is really quite good. The first is that although there is a Caps-Lock light, there is no Num-Lock light. Personally I find these two lights essential but if you can live without Num-Lock, then read on to get the inside story on the second issue. The Logitech MK270 keyboard is very thin and bendy. It has two little feet at the back but I'm one of those touch typists who prefers a horizontal keyboard so I have the feet folded flat. The issue is that with the feet folded flat, it was not possible to bend the keyboard to the right position to be flat enough so as not to wobble in use. Imagine that classic frustration of a four legged table on an uneven restaurant floor. The whole keyboard clatters as you press the keys down. So, two reasons not to give a five star review, but apart from those, it's a great buy for the price. In summary:I liked that:+ The tiny receiver occupied only one USB socket even though it worked two input devices, thereby saving valuable USB sockets for other purposes+ It worked straight out of the box+ The mouse was wireless so no cord to move around or get snagged+ The keyboard had a good 'feel' for touch-typing+ It was very good value+ Batteries were included so no extras needed to get you up and runningI did not like that:- The keyboard wobbled unless you put the elevator feet down.- The keyboard lacked a Num-Lock light

We have a bunch of these keyboards at work, so I knew what I am buying anyway. My review is based on the my personal use at home and also on the business use of exactly the same keyboards at the work. This keyboard and mouse set is great in every way. Here is the list of Pros:- Battery life. The Bluetooth keyboard and mouse on my iMac are running out of battery juice every 4-6 month. The batteries life on this Logitech set is truly amazing. In our office (IT company) we depend on these keyboards and mouse. And with all this heavy use the batteries are lasting at least a year and half.- Ergonomics. The keyboard is very easy to use. After a few minutes of typing you can get a very good feel of this full size keyboard.Keys have a good tactile feeling and when typing fast, you always get the right keys straight away. The mouse is a bit small and light, but not tiring on the hand. This keyboard and mouse is not competing with ergonomically designed sets, but otherwise it is great.- Versatile. Initially I could not decide if I should buy Bluetooth alternative or the one with 2.4Ghz dongle like this one. I am so glad that I bought this one. It is so easy to switch between laptops with the dongle, as there is no waiting time once you plugged in the dongle. Just plug it in and instantly get a responsive mouse and keyboard. With Bluetooth you would have to go through the pairing process. Another advantage is when input is required at the computer start-up, like BIOS settings or HDD encryption password, this keyboard can be used, since it is plugged to USB port, while Bluetooth keyboards would not work until OS is loaded.- Cross platform use. I have used it with Windows PC, with Ubuntu laptop and with iMac. It is not perfect for Mac users, since the keyboard is lacking the Mac specific shortcut keys, but otherwise it would do the work.- Portability. The mouse in this set is portable so you can take it with your laptop on the meetings and everywhere. The dongle is a very low profile. You can plug and forget it on your laptop. The mouse does not emit a visible light and can be used on any surface. I had a curious situation when a CEOs fancy and very expensive mouse did not work on glossy surface of the meeting room table and I had to lend my humble mouse to him.Cons:The only negative point observed so far is that the retractable legs on the keyboard can easily snap. This happens when keyboard is moved around often. In our office people always "borrow" each other's keyboard and half of them have no legs.

I am really impressed with this desktop set.If you are trying to choose between this and Amazon's other entry level wireless desktop, the Sumvision, pick the Logitech MK270 every time. It is only fractionally more expensive and the difference is huge, the build quality is much better.INSTALLATIONReally easy to install, plug in the receiver, wait a moment for it to install itself (no need for any extra software which might slow your computer) and it just works.THE KEYBOARDThe keyboard is solid, it doesn't flex or bounce, and gives just the right amount of feedback. The design is simple and smart, it doesn't look like an entry level offering. It isn't noisy or clacky. It has legs which can be extended if you prefer the keyboard to be raked. It has shortcut keys for play and pause, volume, internet, email, power and calculator. These DO NOT need extra software to work on your PC, they are recognized automatically by windows.THE MOUSEMeasuring 10cm by 6cm, the mouse feels comfortable and solid. The buttons are light to use with a positive click to give you feedback. The sensor does not emit any light (this helps battery life) and is less distracting than other optical mice. You usually only see this feature on more expensive mice. The mouse is accurate and works well.THE RECEIVERThe receiver is one of the small nano ones, it sticks out from the USB by 5mm or so. The range on the receiver is impressive. I have a large desk and the PC is good distance from the keyboard and mouse but it works perfectly.BATTERIES and BATTERY LIFEThe keyboard takes 2 AAA batteries and the mouse, a single AA. This is the second logitech desktop set we have in the the office, the first one only needed the batteries changing after 18 months. I think that is excellent. (Use duracells, they last really well!)Finally, remember to pull out the paper tabs for the battery bay on both the keyboard and mouse the first time you use it to activate it!Hope you found this review helpful. :)

I bought this as a replacement for my old keyboard, which I felt was ready to retire after a long life of having liquids spilled on it, and also a cracked casing. I only really wanted the keyboard, but the fact that a mouse was included, and they were both wireless (I hate wires), appealed to me.The price, which at the time of purchase was £14.99 (a reduction of 40%), made me wonder how decent the keyboard was actually going to be; was I buying a £15 paperweight? A fellow customer even mentioned in his review that the keyboard was 'a little flexible in the middle', and that 'the mouse battery cover was so loose I had to slip a piece of cardboard in there to keep it in place'which further accentuated my scepticism. I'd like to repudiate both of these statements now: Firstly, I always use the MK270 on its feet, and there are no signs of any flexibility; and secondly, my the battery cover to my mouse remains very much in place. Someone else mentioned that the keyboard doesn't have a CAPS LOCK indicator light, but this is also untrue. To dissipate any confusion about the keyboard's key configuration, I will inform you that this is a UK English QWERTY keyboard. My only criticism of the Logitech MK270 Wireless Combo (and a few other customers have mentioned this) is that the mouse is quite small. It's not a major issue, as the mouse functions very well, but it just means reduced comfort, especially with extensive usage.Perhaps the best thing about this product is the fact that you merely have to unpack the set, plug in the receiver, and pull out the battery protectors and that's it - the product is ready to use.Overall, the MK270 Wireless Combo is fantastic value for money, has no major design flaws (other than the size of the mouse), and it consists of a simple 'everyday' keyboard (not recommended for gamers!) with the edge of hotkeys and wireless functionality; and a (rather small) mouse, which is also wireless. I give this product a respectable 4/5 stars.

I think I'd give it 3.5 stars if I could. The keyboard angles flat or at 8degrees, I've actually swapped it with the tabs off my old Logitech keyboard to give a slightly lower angle. The layout is different to the MK300 I had before, which I knew from the pictures, but it's still something to get used to. Typing feel is OK, keys are slightly softer feeling plastic and quieter than the MK300 but also require a bit more force to depress - but that might change as it wears in.Has an on-off switch on both items but the switches are quite fiddly to move, you probably couldn't switch them with arthritic fingers. No power/ CAP LOCK lights for better or worse.Caps and Num lock are quite useful but the MK300 didn't have them and I only missed them a few times in several years. This Mk270 was all plug and play on my Ubuntu 15.04 install (it's Kubuntu actually), a couple of the hotkeys need remapping but that's pretty easy. No apparent problems with reception between the USB receiver at the back of my floor standing desktop tower (it's a quite heavy steel case too). The mouse really lets it down IMO, small and light [which might be good for kids] - the advertised size is correct - but with pretty average male adult hands it feels quite tiny after a Microsoft Basic Optical Mouse v2. You can't see the "laser" either, which might be confusing when trying to determine if the battery is low but is unlikely to make a difference day to day. The other things with the mouse is the wheel, it rotates and clicks but the rotation is noisy and feels like it's grating a little, the scrollwheel-click is loud and needs quite a lot of force and so can cause you to scroll or move the mouse inadvertently. Again I'm hoping it will bed in.Overall though a good set for the price, will be pleased if it has the longevity and battery life of the old Logitech set.

So you are looking for some peripherals... and more than likely overwhelmed by the crowded market of big brands and cheap chinese competitors. Well look no further this is the best budget wireless keyboard/mouse set on the market.First off Logitech has been around since time began, they know how to make keyboards and they certainly do know thier way around a mouse too. I have tried so many keyboards in this price range and have been disappointed, but this does seem to redeem some faith and for a keyboard under £20 I am very impressed to say the least.-Keyboard-Lets start with the keyboard. Very light, has some bend to it but overall build quality seems pretty good for the price.Has full numeric pad to the right and some handy control buttons across the top for convenience which I have found to work great with windows 10 straight out of the box. After typing with this keyboard I must say I am very impressed, the keys have a bit of a click to them for feedback and I have found typing very fast and accurate.-Mouse-I have big hands so this mouse is a little on the small side for me but I have still found it to be comfortable with aclaw type hand position, Connectivity was easy, just plug in the usb and both devices will work straight away. The build quality of this mouse seems decent but definitely not something you want to throw if your computer crashes ! the buttons are very responsive and clicky and most importantly the sensor is very accurate on a mouse pad and lag has not been a problem at all. This compact, light and simple looking mouse and keyboard set are definitely worth the price and if you are on the lookout this is something I would definitely recommend.

Lets start off with the price: £24.99!!!!!!!!!!!!! (and always on sale)For the price your getting a really great deal especially for a wireless keyboard of this quality! So you don't get anything special with the bundle, but what you do get is pretty good. This is a Logitech devise so you can trust that it will be well made and believe me your trust will stay with Logitech, I've dropped the keyboard many times and it still looks like new (with some dust). I like the feel of the keys as well, there's just enough movement that you fell the press (cough, cough, apple) but not so much you can fluently type. The keyboard size fits big and small hands alike and I got used to the keyboard after just a day or two of use and is the first keyboard I've learnt to touch type with. The mouse works with lots of grips and the buttons seem to click from almost anywhere on the front half of the mouse. As for battery life I haven't changed any of the batteries yet and I've had this combo for nearly a year now - these are the batteries that came with. There are eight buttons across the top which are very useful. They control different function a few being: Volume up/down, Play/pause and launch calculator. As for downsides there aren't many. The keyboard cuts out every so often, for about 10-20 seconds. Unless your a pro-gamer then this shouldn't be a problem. The mouse is quite small so if you have rather large hands you might have to consider other options. There is nothing special in the design, but then again there's not meant to be.Who would I recommend this for? Someone with a small desk, someone wanting a cheap keyboard/mouse combo or someone looking to stock for an office.

Bought this Logitech MK270 as a gift for my child to use with our laptop as the size of this keyboard is much larger, easy to use and each keys is very well visible. So its perfect to work fast with it.The keyboard arrives in a sleek box which contained the mouse and a little nano receiver which at first i didn't see as it was pushed in a little hole inside the box. After removing the keyboard and mouse,i went out and dropped the box in our recycling bin and not long after, realised that the nano receiver was missing.Quickly went out to check the box again.Phew...luckily it was still there lol :)So,the set up was pretty fast as there's nothing to download. It was a very quick and forward process.Lovethat the keyboard got some very good functionality as its wireless and there're 8 shortcut keys like play, pause, rewind, fast -forward,volume control and much more for easy access, with an on/off switch button as well as auto sleep power saving mode. The mouse is wireless too and is compact but still very comfortable in hand. The long range wireless connection is perfect and works very well.It has the on/off switch too.The combo came with their batteries already which will last 36 months for the keyboard and 12 months for the mouse. So we will be good to go for some while with peace of mind. The set is perfect for home/office works as well as for gaming, this is the reason i gifted this to my teenager child.Really like Logitech products cause they're all very good quality, sturdy, reliable, great value for money and last for longer. Highly recommend this combo to anyone :) [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

This just arrived and had a quick play. It looks very nice - even better than the photos on the listing as the paler grey at the bottom of the keyboard and the decorative strip around the mouse are actually fairly dark, the same colour as the shortcut keys at the top - makes for a classy appearance. The keyboard is neat, fairly compact but not cramped. Key travel suits me - a rad more than a laptop by nowhere near as much as the old office-style keyboards. The keys are maybe a tad clacky but I'm being picky there - they're no noisier than most laptop keyboards and there's very little rocking or sideways movement. Unlike the listing photo, there's a full-size "return" key and the "\" key is placed to the left of the "Z" (the one in that photo is a US layout). The additional keys cover the basics, including a "sleep" key, and work without additional software on Windows 10 (x64) PC. (I see that Lexmark has software called "setpoint" that lets you change the hotkeys etc - not tried it but may be useful for some). The mouse is small but easy to use - I have long fingers and large hands and it still fits fine. Scroll wheel is smooth with a slight notching - middle click is supported but not sideways scrolling, though to be honest, that's a feature I've never found worthwhile. The capslock indicator light is a big plus for a wireless keyboard. There are also power switches for both devices, probably only needed if you carry them around in a briefcase. Short, folding legs at the back are useful if you prefer to angle the keyboard. Very pleased to get a branded item like this at such a good price.

A great wireless product that comes with the added bonus of only using one USB dongle (some wireless combo's require one for both the keyboard and mouse). The keyboard is a full size office one, with additional hotkeys for volume, mail power etc. key travel is good, for a wireless solution, giving good feedback to every keystroke and the mouse is a basic, but very functional one. Regarding the mouse it has one drawback (in my eyes) as it's small for an office mouse. It may suit you, but for me I had to upgrade to a larger one to fit my normal size hands (the Logitech one included here was felt too small in my hands). If you want to continue using a Logitech mouse and the one dongle, then you need to find one which is compatible with the keyboard, however, this may not be easy as some of the keyboards don't have the universal nano USB dongle and some do (you can tell this if you turn the keyboard over. On the back next to the manufacturing info there will be a red dot, indicating it is compatible with other Logitech mice). The one I am typing this review out on, doesn't have this dot, so I had to go for a mouse with it's own dongle. Although in reality this is hardly a hardship!..The keyboard has excellent power management, and will go in to low power mode after only a few minutes of non use.In conclusion I would gladly recommend this keyboard and mouse as ideal replacements for laptop users, office users and normal gaming. Would have rated it as 5 star if the mouse was just a bit bigger.

The covid-19 resulted in a high workload on my laptop and consequently, strains on my wrist, elbow and shoulders come to the fore as I try to raise the laptop to make the workstation comfortable. When an external keyboard appears to be a solution to the health & safety issue related to work at home, I invested time in searching for an affordable external keyboard. The popular ones (as shown by sold number) include this one I bought Logitech MK270. There are many positive reviews as well as negative ones. The latter made me hesitant to buy this product as I fear the keyboard would not be fit for purpose. However, I am pleased with what I got now as it really ease the strain on my hands and make my home work life easier. The keys are responsive (no delay),which is important to me as I type a lot. They keys do make a little noise (as some negative reviews describe), however, the noise level is normal, and I am used to it. To me, the sound gives me feedback that the keys are working. Surely, individuals have different preferences. The function outweights the negligible noise, in my case.Easy to set up by simply plugging in the USB. Both wireless and mouse work just fine, sufficient for my professional full-time job using a laptop all day long.In a word, I am happy with my order, with a reasonable price, getting a good brand Logitech product that functions well.Read full review...

Really happy with this keyboard and mouse. Keys on the keyboard are light to touch, quiet but not silent and overall a good compact sleek design, especially if space is limited - without losing a functional number pad. Fold away legs are very sturdy and lift the keyboard slightly for a more comfortable typing position. 5 rubber pads on the bottom mean the keyboard doesn't slip about when typing at speed and there seem to be 4 drainage holes which will definitely help if there are any accidental spillages! There are 8 pre-programmed hot keys along the top of the keyboard which are great for quick access to certain things like web browsing, access to email etc and the one I love the most is the calculator...it has been used a lot! Both the keyboard and mouse have easily accessed on-off switches - on the keyboard this will not only preserve battery life but also prevent accidental key presses - good for travelling and also for family's where little hands may roam. The mouse has a little space alongside the battery compartment where the usb receiver can be stored which is really handy when you travel. No issues so far with range or lag which can be very common. And the installation process was seamless, no extra software needed.Overall a good quality compact wireless mouse and keyboard. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I used to work from home a lot and was given a Lenovo wired mouse and keyboard. When I changed job but still needed to work from home occasionally, I needed a keyboard and mouse. The Lenovo package - whilst available still was (a) wired again and (b) more expensive than this combo.I've had Logitech devices before and whilst they've always worked fine, I've never been overly enamoured with them. The same can probably be said for these items. They work great and I love the fact that, when my laptop only has 2 USB ports, the 2 items work through one USB wireless connector. They're very functional with shortcut keys ; volume up and down etc - all that you'd probably expect. For me,the one thing I'd much prefer - as much as the keyboard is concerned, is that the keys were slightly heavier. They feel very plastic and light - but I think it's generally just a difference to what I'm used to. When I'm at work, I'll use laptop keys and for personal use at home, I use a mac keyboard. So, in terms of being fit for purpose - a big thumbs up. Value for money - big thumbs up. Good, unexpected features for your money - big thumbs up. Keys a bit lighter than I'd like - middle of the road!! But, I accept this will be a personal, comfort choice. I'd be more inclined to give it a 4 and a half out of 5 as I'd much rather have it than not!

I needed to have a keyboard which I could put out of the way to free up the Computer table for other work. I already had a wireless "Click" Logitech mouse, which was getting a bit old and fractious, so I decided to buy the MK270 set.And I'm very glad that I did so. It arrived briskly via Amazon Prime (thanks guys) and set up was a doddle. Just unplug the old keyboard and mouse, and plug in the tiny USB dongle, which I have to say I didn't believe anything that small would work. So, OK, I was wrong. Switched on the desktop and there it was, ready to fly.The mouse is smaller than my previous optical click mouse but perfectly comfortable to use.It has less "extra" buttons than the optical click mouse but I don't find that I miss them. The keyboard is excellent. A good sturdy construction, nice firm key "feel" and no delay that I can discern. The keyboard has a row of extra function keys at the top for activating sound, email, calculator, etc. The only one I found a bit bothersome was the PC on/off button which put the PC to sleep at one touch. Fat fingers could cause potential trouble there so I decided to deactivate it and found the instructions in the reviews from another reviewer. An easy task using the control panel. So full marks to Logitech for a great little pair of gizmos.
