With 5 adults and 2 small children one of whom is a messy eater 18 month old and the other is a 4 year old who likes as many wardrobe changes as a female celebrity presenting an awards show we often run out of room on our freestanding dryers, this is brilliant. It folds up to about the width of the end of our bath so if you haven't got a free end you can tuck it there out the way. I like the extendable nature, you can have a small number of things or a large number. I also love the fact this is the perfect receptacle if you've had to run out in the rain to grab your washing and it's wet, no more drips on the carpet, they all go in the bath. The downside is it's incredibly fiddly and heavy, the caches don't have a slow release so if you have your fingers (or your head or someone else's) in the way when collapsing it's going to hurt (from experience). It's also fiddly to get just right over the bath, I would advise locking in position when it is in the smallest setting not extended as if the arm isn't fully extended it will collapse in the bath from the pressure of the extending wires on the main frame. I also wish there was a setting to lock the extension due to this problem. It's not heavy to lift but is heavy if it hits you when collapsing or putting up which may be diffiukt for older people or those with limited mobility.Overall it's a brilliant addition to a large family or those with limited space. It's great if you gave no outdoor space whatsoever for drying as all the drips go in the bath not your floor and thanks to the nature if the room the humidity isn't a problem if your heating is in too.

We've used a different model of Leifheit Pegasus clothes dryer for many years and it has given us very good service – however, it is quite large and takes up a lot of floor space when in use. This Pegasus 81702 is a clever design that actually fits over the bath so needs no additional space to use it – plus any residual water can drip safely into the bath preventing wet floors. Although this is a well-designed product it is not quite perfect and can be a bit fiddly to get set up exactly how you want it and it will only fit a bath that is right up against a wall. The design consists of three inverted Vs which can be locked at the correct angle for your particular bath, with adjustable drying lines running between them to get the dryer to the exact length you need. Although a bit tricky to use at first it is difficult to see quite how the design could be improved by much; this is a well-made product that shouldn't rust and comes with a three-year guarantee. Leifheit products are generally not the cheapest on the market but they do last so give value for money in the long run, this practical dryer is currently around thirty-seven pounds from Amazon and deserves four stars for value and build-quality at that price.

A special prize to whoever thought of this. There must be many a downsizing retiree who has had to get shot of his (or her I suppose) tumble drier when moving into the new downsized premises. Drying the linen out of doors is the preferred option, but tell that to the weather-gods of England. Then there are some laundries, so one should not complain that they are more than a few yards from one’s doorstep. However the standard indoors engineering consists mainly of an over-the-bath drainer, and I have had good use of mine, courtesy of Messrs Kleeneze, for quite a few years now.The new gizmo extends to the full length of the bath simply by unclipping the extension, and it’s surprising how much extra capacity this provides. One need hardly say that the thing is perfectly stable, and it is easy to stow if you can even be bothered to detach it from the bath following its tour of duty. It looks fine where it is.So there we are – I have a new extra-capacity indoor drying-rack, and I suppose the old one can soldier on as a spare if I ever need that. Recommended without qualification.

The tendency to favour natural fibre jumpers and cardigans which aren't suitable for tumbledrying can prove a bit of a pain in the Winter (or inclement weather), which means that you can't line dry these garments. This is a pretty good solution - offering flexible, extendable storage that goes to pretty much the entire length of the bath in a rack that folds down to nearly flat, and a small enough area that it can be stored neatly - in my house this fits very neatly in the gap between the back of a cupboard and the wall, so completely out of the way when not in use.The design is robust and everything feels well-made, as you would hope from Leifheit. This extends easily, and can be used in the inverse V- shape shown, in a lean-to configuration that's better suited for longer garments to prevent them from dangling down into run-off water, or simply sitting across the top of the bath. The price point feels perhaps a bit on the punchy side for a drying rack, though this is undoubtedly a very good one.

You know what, this is the daddy of all over bath airers... a common sight in my household since I was a lad, and forty years later it's a little heart warming to introduce this, which seems the ultimate version, to the house. The build is very sturdy, a firm plastic build, the legs each move out - controlled by a firm gripping red plastic tab, just release the tab slide and fix the tab again, voila you have whatever length you require. My only negative has to be that there's only triangular feet on one end, meaning it's reliant upon standing up against a wall behind the bath, and not going to be any good for free standing baths, beware. However, the whole quality is top notch.Delivery from amazon was in a WAY over the top box, but it all came secure and in perfect working order. To anyone whom has never had an over-bath drier, you really don't know what you're missing, in the winter or wet days it's a god send and far more environmentally friendly than running a tumble drier.

I already have a larger Leifheit airer and this one is in a very similar style with blue plastic and white lines. I do however like the addition of the locks so you can have the A frame widespread (and even up the wall), laid flat on the bath or quite close together fitting any bath and it won’t collapse flat when moved. I also really like the fact it extends widthways as I have a curved bath so it doesn’t fit that well fully extended and this also has its own separate lock so it won’t expand while moving it. It’s really easy to hang items from and can be used with pegs if needed too. I would say you’ll get far more use out of it over the bath though than using it on the floor as you need that additional space below it.The only thing is you do need a bath that is against a wall to hold it in place. A welcome addition when there’s lots of washing to be done and over the bath is the only space left as it says it can hold up to 2 loads (but I find just 1).

Lost a star because I did expect it to be heavier built - its plastic. AND because the box it arrived in was absolutely HUGE - I could fit it in. Has taken up my entire wheelie bin for cardboard as a result. The product: Excellent. Efficient, clever and a life saver to use in the winter months. We will be keeping ours in the spare bathroom, where it can be put up in the bath and left to air clothes without getting in the way. It can be made much smaller or taller than it is, which will be great for jeans and large towels.Folds down flat and can be put away in a cupboard or whatever.Would have been nice to see it in a more neutral shade than postman pat blue...But thats just a niggle and Im being harsh: its an airer.Price was very good, and has replaced an electrical airer I had from Lakeland which, side the puppy chewed the wire, cannot be mended - a expensive mistake! Sticking to non electrical stuff as it just can't go wrong then! lol

This arrived in an enormous cardboard box. It’s strongly constructed in a tough plastic with metal rods. It is designed to fit over a standard bath which is placed against a wall, the “V-shaped” legs resting on the bath edge with the plain legs resting in the corner formed between the bath and the wall, the length is adjustable by pulling the ends out. Although our bath is against the wall it does have taps in the middle, it did just about fit in the “A-frame” configuration as the taps just missed the struts; however it was just as easy to change the configuration to put the legs further up the wall, the legs lock firmly into position with the red toggles and a ratchet mechanism; this made it ideal for gently drying jumpers that needed to be pulled into shape before drying,(I’ve attached a photo). Overall a good quality, useful dryer.

Thie is an amazing drying rack. It combines the flexibility of an over bath type with the small ones used for general drying in kitchens / utility / living rooms.I love the teeny size of it once collapsed, and the ease of extending or altering the angle of it. The simple slidey and cogs that engage with clip are so quick to useI have used it over the bath and near the fire and the fact that the angle can be adjusted to any and that this is a fixed angle because of the cog and clip mechanism means it is sturdy and there is no chance of its position changing when putting on or removing clothes.Highly recommended for households tight of space or for holiday lets such as caravans as the fact itcan be made narrow means can be used in a shower cubicle and also be stowed easily away.

I'll spare you the photo I was planning of our unmentionables drying but, suffice it to say, that this product does exactly what I expected of it.It straddles the bath perfectly and the arms can be locked securely in place. The clever expansion facility works impressively and the plastic construction ensures there will never be any rust to worry about. Folds flat for easy storage too.A bit pricier than other similar products and difficult to get too excited by such a mundane item but, if you are in the market for an over-the-bath dryer, then this Leifheit is almost certainly the best you can get.Only slight irritation is having to dispose of the huge,mattress-sized cardboard packaging it arrived it!

This is the second product I am currently using by this manufacturer and I have been really impressed with the clothes hanger we have and this one is an added bonus. This hanger is simple to install on your bath and unlike other cheaper products of the same kind this wont slip off into the back due to the clever design. It should be noted however that this product is large so you need a big bath to get the full use out of it. The fold away feature allows you to store it easily also as it doesn’t take up too much room once the product is collapsed. These products are quite expensive but they are made with genuine quality. Highly recommended.

This review concerns the Leifheit 81702 Pegasus V Duo Over Bath Dryer up to 18.9 m Drying Space, price at review £36.95.Having worked in a retail environment for many years I can testify to the quality of the Leifheit brand. This particular dryer offers versatility coupled with increased capacity when compared with other similar goods. It’s not a particularly lightweight model, but therein lies its stability enhanced by the finger-touch locks that hold the airier in various user determined configurations.A versatile quality product, but at a slight price premium compared to others.

An excellent piece of kit. We wanted this most particularly for waterproofs, which drip dry after having mud hosed off, and for utilising the space over the bath when drying space becomes at a premium. The extendable length to fit the space available is good. The bike-quick-release-style catches work well.All-in-all this is an excellent affair and my visiting brother (and his extensive range of bike kit, some of which is in the photo, necessitated the extra drying space) has ordered one too.

Great product that allows us to use our bathtub to put away our wet cleaned clothes easily without having to take more room somewhere we use. I also like that once retracted it goes perfectly on the side of our bathtub. It is also pretty study when we put both arms to rest on the bathtub. It works great for two people and probably would be ok for a young family of three. Overall I am glad we got it, hopefully we have a bathtub in our next flat ?

This is quite a large item but it works very well. We have a large number of items which do not take too kindly to the abuse of a spin dryer and need to be drip dried. This product is perfect for that. Once set up, you can put wet clothes on it and simply leave them to drip dry as the excess water goes into the bath. The dryer is well made and easy to set up. Overall this is an excellent product and one I can Recommend.
