Over the years I've owned and used many clothes airers, and compared to what else is around, this one is pretty good! Renowned as being cheap and flimsy things that usually last two or three years then break or rust, it's good to see Leifheit building a product to a higher than usual standard.Fit and finish is excellent as usual from a German product, and the gauge of steel used is a bit chunkier than budget airers. There's a compromise to be had here obviously, because any airer has to be reasonably robust yet light enough to use and move about easily. I think the balance has been well struck here.THE POSITIVES:Loads of room for clothes!

Like all of the Leifheit airers that I have used, as soon as you pick this up, you can feel that it is a quality airer and not a cheap version as the weighting is so much better and the strength of the bars is so much more robust, which means that you aren't going to get bent struts after the first use (as has been my experience with cheap airers in the past).This one is big, with good space for air flow and you can hang a lot of washing on here at once and I really like the added features of the side clips for small items that would otherwise frequently drop onto the floor, like socks and pants and this airer also comes with hangers,

I've used one similar to this for a few years now however this one is very good indeed (I rarely give 5 starts these days). You get a lot of drying space for your money here and a 5 year warranty. The central section has rails running longways(just under a metre long) while the side arm rails (36 cms each side) run the other way. A lot of washing can be placed on it while still keeping reasonable gaps to allow faster drying. There are also a couple of side clips for socks, underwear, smaller items generally. These are very useful indeed. 5 coat hangers are included, not sure we see these as particularly maybe as most folk will have them anyway.but others may find them good.

I have used an almost identical airer made by Leifheit last year and I had no problems with it at all. I am quite clumsy as I am disabled with poor mobility so I usually have help from carers to put my washing out. This means tha the Airer was handled by many different people and everyone had success at putting it up and taking it down.I even managed it by myself twice. I think my handling is far from delicate and again I had not issues. The Airer has remained strong and throughout.I have used this Airer just once because of the very wet weather. It worked just as well as the other one.The accessories that come with it are also very good. You have a peg bag that fits over a bar and fastens with velcro.

This airer is one of a series available from Leifheit they are all very slightly different sizes and come with different add one pieces, This on comes with hangers,I have bought these hangers separately before with the sock hangers attached and they are strong and very well designed with anti slip notch on the hook and a swivel hook also , the hangers sit very well into the wavy edge line and stop the clothes bunching in the breeze if you use this outside.the main use for this hanger is for the larger items in your laundry which don't fit well on the more upright airier ,great for shirts on the hangers and with the addition of the sock hangers in red its a very good piece of equipment .The

This airer is large and very sturdy and despite it’s size folds into a very slim profile, it fits in my cupboard under the stairs which I wasn’t expecting. It is very big once set up and folds out so that each section can hold many items of clothing, bedding, etc, thus allowing you to get as much washing dry in one go as possible. It comes with hangers which means you can hang even more things on it if you need to. There is also a little section for smaller items of clothing such as socks so this is a big plus compared to more basic airers.Once set up, it takes up a lot of floor space, so if you are looking for something that won’t take up much room, I’d recommend getting a smaller airer.

I am very happy with this. It perfectly fits a 9 ltr washload with slight gaps, so its not at all crammed. I have tried various combinations of clothes and if it fits our 9 lt. drum, then it will fit in our clothes airer too. Very happy with its quality. No rusting wires. Its lightweight so its not a heavy sturdy structure which is fine for me coz I need to fold it up and put it away after each use. Although light weight unlike some commented, even in high winds, it hasn't ever fallen over. One tip is to make sure the legs are places as far apart as possible which gives it stability. The socks hanger saves a lot of line space. All in all very very happy with my purchase.

You receive a very well made clothes airer, which has that touch of genuine quality to it.The Airer has 10 main body rails, and 8 on the side bits, plenty of room for hangers, towels etc.Folds away neatly and very easily, when folded it measures roughly 940 x 660 x 80mm H x W x D. not a great deal of weight to it.I’ve used a similar one, different brand, for a number of years, we have enough space in our laundry room, this fits perfectly and is a very useful slightly bigger one.I’ve had a few Leifheit products and they can sometimes be over engineered and not always great, this I would happily recommend, probably the best made I’ve had and seen.

Works extremely well. It's spacious and feels very sturdy compared to my previous one. It comes with special clips that holds small items. I never thought I would really use it, but I use it almost every time. I use it for things such as socks, small items, etc. It's very useful and comes in handy. It also comes with hangers that attach to the wavy part of the clothes airer and it doesn't move. I love it! I used to accidentally walk past my clothes and the clothes hanger itself would fall down if I accidentally touched it while walking by, but these ones stay! It works well and my items dry a lot faster than my previous one. Would highly recommend!

This is a large clothes airer with plenty of space for a full load of washing; perfect for this time of year when many days are still too damp or cold to dry laundry outside. There is space for larger items and there are little holders at the side for underwear and socks. I like the thoughtful design, including the little ridged bits to prevent clothes hangers from moving around: very good for drying shirts. The height of the extendable arms is also perfect for drying trousers without the hems trailing on the floor. It's a sturdy design and I haven't had any issues with the legs collapsing, plus it quickly folds flat for easy storage.

In the past my kids were forever walking past previous metal clothes airers and the legs would break. This has plastic legs and is very sturdy. It also dries the clothes faster as more air gets to them. I used to use 2 airers at most times. This takes up a similar space when unfolded but you can fold over the sides if not needed and dry using just the inside area. It also comes with 5 hangers which are extremely handy, you could use more of your own but presently i haven't needed to. The only negative is if you hang a heavy wet towel on one of the rungs it can bend slightly. So far good, had it a couple of months

It is contracted very well as I was expecting. The space between the hanging bars is a good distance allowing hanging of bulky items without them touching each other. Although I wasn't bothered about the sock holder originally it turns out to be amazing, you can hang many many socks very quickly without taking up room on the hanging bars. Just a note about the size, this model is very big which is exactly what I wanted but if you like to put the airer outside in the summer I don't think it will go through a door when unfolded.

WISH I BOUGHT ONE EARLIER. NEGATIVE WAS THE DELIVERY UP TO 10 DAYS SO DIDN'T HAVE A CLUE WHEN IT WOULD ARRIVE. POSITIVE IS AS SOON AS IT ARRIVED I DID TWO LOADS OF WASHING AND IT ALL FITTED ON AIRER. CAME WITH 5 HANDY HANGERS THAT CLICK IN PLACE WISH IT COULD HAVE COME WITH 10 AND THIS WAS GREAT SPACE SAVER. EASY TO FOLD UP AND PUT AWAY. WOULD RECOMMEND BUT BEWARE QUITE LIGHTWEIGHT AND TODAY SMALL BREEZE OUTSIDE AND IT TOPPLED OVERSINCE TYPING THIS I HAVE FOUND YOU CAN BUY EXTRA HANGERS AND PEGS ON AMAZON ALSO

This is a beast of an airer, quite a size. However, it's fantastic for really allowing clothes to dry & air. I'm looking forward also to putting this outside in the summer months. The handy side sock grippers are very useful & I love the coathangers provided that click onto the airer keeping them in place.No bending to any low rows as with regular airer, so this is a definite bonus in terms of accessibility.Very sturdy, well made - but not heavy.5 stars.

This is a large airer when fully opened however it does fold up very compactly and can easily be stored in a gap such as behind the sofa when not in use. It is very easy to open up and has a very comprehensive set of accessories to enable you to easily and efficiently hang different articles. In all, a handy thing to have in the home especially since it is more eco friendly to use a dryer less and let things dry naturally. Highly recommended
