The Leifheit Pegasus L Comfort 81516 Airer is a well made, clever solution for airing your washing. It has several practical features not normally found on similar products such as the wavy bars on the end of each 'wing' which accommodate the snap-on coat hangers supplied with it or the red plastic 'holder clips' located on the main side bars which allow items such as socks to be held individually and separately from each other. The additional height of the fold-out wings is very useful for hanging my jeans on and the small peg bag which can be attached to the frame is very handy. The plastic and metal construction feels tough and durable but, as with other airers I have tried, the opened out frame feels a bit 'rickety' - whether this improves with a heavy load of washing in place I don't know as yet because I have only used it with a couple of small washes - I certainly don't think that the wheels, available as an optional extra, would be a good idea though. When opened out this airer is big, approx. 6' x 2', and needs an appropriate space in which to locate it - it's certainly too big for me to use inside of my flat but is okay out on the patio.Overall, this is a good product with useful features and a better build quality than most. However, I feel that it is a bit expensive for what is in effect a replacement outdoor airer for me as I could buy a very good rotary line for less.

It might sound strange to use the word "delight" about a clothes rack, but that really was our reaction to it when it arrived and we unfolded it. It is leagues better than the cheap airing frame we used to use. There are always some clothes that need to be washed by hand and hung out to dry naturally, and of course when the man's been called out because the machine's acting up an airing frame is essential. This frame is large enough to accommodate the entire family's wash and it's so easy to unfold into position and is sturdy too. The five clothes hangers click into place on the frame, which keeps a distance between the clothes you put on them, and you can clip on small items such as socks and undies using the red clips along the rail. There is a peg bag as well. You need a lot of space to set it up if you wish to use it indoors, but if you have that space then it's the perfect thing to have. If you use it outdoors then the way you clip the hangers onto the frame should stop the clothes from blowing away if it gets windy. If you do put it outside, be prepared for a flashback to old fashioned "keeping up with the Joneses" times when the neighbours would look over the fence and give envious looks.

Not being a household blessed with a tumble dryer I tend to rely on a series of airers dotted around the house to offer enough drying space during the autumn and winter months so this appeared to suit my needs admirably. The first thing that I'd say about it is that it's huge - pretty tall and really long when the two arms are extended, which is both a good and a bad thing - beneficial if you've a large house or space in a utility room, but no so if you've only got a small flat. It does come with some pretty innovative features though such as an attachable peg holder, two sock holders which can be clipped to the outer edges and five coat hangers which can be clicked into place on the wings of the dryer. So,the huge question is - was it worth the money? Well, I think that it was a tiny bit pricey for what it is. The sock hangers were also really tricky to use and I'd imagine that anyone who suffered with arthritis would really struggle to peg socks or small items to them. I like it in principle and the added height is great for drying items such as trousers and jeans, but not hugely essential. In effect: a well made item, but not oustanding value.

A great product that really does do exactly what it says on the tin. It's big... As the product description says it provides 20M of drying space (not confirmed by me!) However the dimensions in use are 1.7M length when fully open. Width is a tad over 67cm and height (as mentioned in the description 1.07M). It's folds and unfolds easily and the dimensions folded are 95cm by 67cm with a depth of about 9cm maximum. It does provide a lot of drying space - and is useful, for larger items too (though they obviously will take most or all of the available space). It has a useful "sock and small items "clip" affair down one length - into which socks and other small items can easily be fixed. It comes with a set of five plastic coat hangers which clip on the ends - making them great for drying shirts and blouses - without taking lots of space on the rack. The quality of finish is excellent - it feels solid and well made and all surfaces should protect drying items properly. If you have the space this is an excellent rack providing a lot of drying capacity. Useful inside or outside (or for both for days with changeable weather).

I am not a big fan of drying clothes inside because the house just looks a mess with wet washing all over it, plus it takes ages to dry, so if I cannot dry clothes outside then I use the tumble dryer. HOWEVER - my ridiculously high electricity bills have tweaked my thinking on this and I was very pleased to receive this dryer. It feels very strong and sturdy, I LOVE the socks hangers and the included coat hangers which clip securely in place - such a great design feature.Initially I thought the peg bag was pointless - I have one for outside already, but then when I thought about it, clothes take ages to dry inside when doubled over,so I am now going to peg them onto the airer and see if this speeds up the job.....so the peg bag may be a bonus after all!I have used it as soon as it came as an ironing aid......great for hanging up things straight away and keeping piles of freshly ironed items away from the cats until the job is over and it can all be put away.I think I may be a convert and reserve the tumble dryer for the towels!

This is a good quality sturdy airer. It has plenty of rail drying space so you can spread t-shirts and jumpers and thicker items out to dry through thoroughly. I was able to dry full loads quite easily. This is the large size of this dryer and as the drying area is worked out horizontally not vertically you need to be sure you have enough clear floor space to put it up and allow plenty of clear space around it for air flow (I am lucky that I have a large kitchen/dining area to accommodate)I really like the sock pegs along the sides which saves rail space for larger items and the hangers are handy if you have lots of shirts as it maximises the dry area by not having to put them over the rails andmakes ironing them easier as you have less creases. It is quick and easy to put up and down with a simple click lock system and stores very flat so can be easily popped behind a door or under a bed out of the way.All in all I was very pleased with it and would recommend it if you are looking for a new airer.

This is a very good well thought out design. The airer is put up and down easily and folds relatively flat so easily stored. It states that it will hold 2 loads of laundry and I know it stores one load more than easily.Feels stable when it is up but is a little large. Consists of two wings and a flat centre piece, all of which can take clothes. The centrepiece is also great for any item that needs to dry flat. The airer comes with clip on hangers which are handy for shirts, blouses, etc. These clip on each wing and are held firm. It also comes with handy clips for small items such as socks and underwear, A peg bag is also included but I haven't used it. I believe it can be used indoors or out but I tend to use it in my conservatory. It states wheels are availably to buy but I have not found these on Amazon and am doubtful if I would find them useful as it is easy to move around without them. I like Leifheit products as this one certainly lives up to the good name of the company

On opening and setting this drying rack i can honestly say it looks quality and it feels quality. Now it says comfort. As i only want to dry my clothes on it i cant comment if its got the comfort factor. I will leave that for others to tell you. What did shock me was the fact the space between each line is only about 3inches. Now if you loaded this rack up i cant see how it will dry a load in a day. I dont think its possible. I managed to put 30 items of baby clothing on it today. The part that holds the shirts at either end is rippled. This is to take the hangers 5 of which are provided. The hanger hooks have a slot in them so they snap on this rippled part and dont blow away. Very clever idea. The last little added extra was the nylon peg bag provided. Love it. The Airer is stable but light. If you want a good airer then buy this little beauty.

My daughter had the Leifheit, Pegasus 180, Large Clothes Airer, and used it regularly until her two cats broke it and I know how saddened she was to have to replace it. It was with this in mind that I chose this item as soon as I saw I had the change to review one. We only have a very small clothes horse as it is just us two oldies living in the house but I don't find mine big enough to hang the bedding out full to dry one. Therefore because I have to fold wet bedding into a smaller shape it takes longer to dry and sometimes loses that freshly washed smell. It has been nice since this arrived to wash the bedding and dry it out in full. Just one day to dry a quilt cover, pillowcases and a sheet. So it won't get the use my daughter's did but I'm really pleased with it.

This Leiftheit Airer is a real find. My old wobbly one collapses if the weightdistribution of clothes is even remotely unbalanced. Here's the solution! It's a strong well-made product which unfolds easily and folds back into afairly compact rectangular form for storage. The leg supports click intoplace with a light tug to the sides creating impressive stability and the twoside "wings", with their indentations for accomodating hangers raises stuffa good distance above the floor so, for example, shirt cuffs stay pristine. The manufacturer claims that the Airer provides 20m of hanging space andthere are two rows of rather nifty little red sock grippers for good measure. There's a three year warranty. It's not cheap but about as good as it gets.Recommended.

Basically everything in blue and red are made of a thick plastic while everything in white is coated metal.I have a small washing machine so actually this could hold more like 3, possibly 4 loads but after washing all my heavy towels at once I think I've seen how much it can handle, and that's quite a bit! I had a wooden airer before which became lopsided after the same load but on this one only the metal wires bowed slightly in the middle which is totally acceptable. So why only 4 stars? Well as someone living on their own this is pure overkill and there's no real way to only have part of it as while you can fold in the two arms that would obscure the middle lane.Overall I am very pleased withthe airer and will keep using it.

It arrived well packaged. Easy to open up.First impressions were very positivePositives:-- easy to set up and then 'flatten' afterwards- sturdy and well made- the enclosed hangers are well made and the fact they click into the end rungs and don't move due to the design of the end rungs is excellent- the sock holder is a great idea and, again, well constructed- the clothes clip bag is a good idea and like the fact you can easily remove it- the support corners are solid and its good it does not sit on the metal struts- it is not heavy and folds up flatNegatives- none!It is a well thought out and well engineered dryer. If you are going to buy one then I think this is worth the money. It will last a very long time.

If you have the room for it then this is the airer to have, it is probably the most versatile non-powered airer you can buy but its quite big. Folded it measures 96 x 67 cm which makes it a little inconvenient if storage is an issue for you. Once opened out it can actually hold a folded double quilt cover at its maximum stretch. The legs simply unfold with a gentle click and you're away. Included with it are five plastic hangers that actually clip to the rail for clothes that need to be dried on a hanger and along one side are some very useful clips to hang your socks. Also included is a small peg bag. Did they miss out anything? Someone to iron it perhaps?

It might be pricey, but this is a very well made and sturdy rack. You can hang a whole bunch of clothes on it (more than a full 7KG washing machine load) and then fold it away in a few seconds. The sock hanging clips on the side are great, as it leaves more room on the rest of the rack or things that need to be there to dry. Having the ability to have clothes like shirts on hangers (5 provided) is also very efficient, They hang away from the rack and well off of the floor. Brilliant.

This unit is very sturdy & spacious. It assembled quite easily & I put it together fairly quickly. It has pegs to hang your small items like knickers & socks which is very handy as they always fall off my other liners! It's fairky light & it's about medium size. I like that I can out a wash on & hang all my wash on it as it has enough space.
