Before you click that Buy button make sure you have the room for this drying rack because it's a big 'un and will tend to dominate any room you use it in. Leifheit offer a range of sizes and this seems to one of the biggest and realistically you need about the same space as a king-size bed to deploy it and still have room to move around. The product description claims 20m of hanging space that can hold two average loads of laundry and while I'm sure that's accurate with that much laundry on-board there wouldn't be much movement of air around the garments and I doubt they'd dry in a hurry. Handily, despite all that hanging space,it does fold down into a manageable size for storage and would easily slide under a bed when not in use.The overall quality seems good, there are no loose joints or bare edges to snag clothing and it feels relatively sturdy - these things are naturally a bit wobbly because of the spindly construction but it's better than most. The legs fold out and then click into place, which feels more secure than some, and you get a pair of (optional) wheels to attach to one leg so you can drive the whole thing around wheelbarrow-style, although fully-loaded with wet washing I doubt it would be the easiest thing to manoeuvre. The two wings at either end just flip out and stay at a fixed angle, you can't adjust this angle and you really have to flip them out to make proper use of the main section of the rack. The central section of the rack is high enough off the ground to peg things like men's tee-shirts or shirts without the bottom edges trailing on the ground. At their highest point the wings can accommodate a long-legged pair of men's jeans too (I'm quite tall!) but only just and only at the highest point. You get a nice set of accessories including a set of clips along one rung that hold small items like socks without the need for separate pegs - you'd get about 8 pairs of socks on these allowing a bit of air-room between each or more if you cram them in. There's a set of 5 hangers which have a notch in the hook which clips securely onto the wavy bars at either end of the rack - so the hanger and garment can still swing or spin in the breeze but shouldn't get blown off onto the ground. There's a little peg-bag, held on to the rack with Velcro, that's big enough to store the mesh hammock for drying woollens and about 20 clothes pegs, though no pegs are included. That mesh hammock, which is slung between the two wings of the drying rack and used to keep woollens flat and unmarked while drying, is a good idea but because it's clipped to each of the folding wings and there's nothing keeping those wings open (unless they're weighed-down with washing) they tend to fold inwards when you put anything heavy-ish onto the hammock. That means the hammock sinks and becomes slightly pointless - with a bit of ingenuity and the rack weighed down with wet laundry you can make it work but it's not the most successful feature of this set. For the most part this rack adds a couple of great design ideas to a otherwise mundane household item and it's well made and really practical - although it is a bit pricey!

I'm reviewing the Leifheit Pegasus 200 Solid Deluxe Mobile Clothes Airer with wheels, 20 m by Leifheit. Here are my thoughts:^^ This arrived almost ready-made, I just had to add the feet and wheels. I was surprised how high it is when opened and standing up, yet it folds away fairly flat and doesn't take up as much space when closed as I thought it would. It does, however, need plenty of space when up and fully unfolded. Again, this is both a blessing (loads of drying space) and a pain (difficult to place in a small house) unless it's put outside.^^ There are many features I love about this airer. The drying space is very good.Clothes can hang over the bars on the main area and they can also be added to the winged areas that unfold to provide even more drying space.^^ In addition to these features I am also really pleased with the five coat hangers provided, they fit the wavy wings and click in, so they do not fall off or blow away in the wind.^^ I also like how there is an attached peg bag on one side, (small but holds enough pegs), and two sock driers on the other side, which I find really handy.^^ It also comes with a flat drying area, for jumpers or other items of clothing you don't want to hang or get creased - a handy option, which can be removed easily.^^ Although sturdy, it's not totally windproof. It was blown over in the wind, but having said that it was a particularly windy day. And it has not happened since.Overall: I am pleased to say this is better than I expected. I know it's quite expensive (in my opinion) for a clothes drier, but now I can see why and feel it is worth the extra money for what you get and how well it is made.

The Pegasus 200 model is the big boy in Leifheit's Pegasus range of airers – and this new deluxe version of the 200 now adds wheels to the original design. I guess they chose the “Pegasus” name because it is a clotheshorse with wings! This model is sturdy and well-made – as you would expect from this quality German brand - and the 20 metre drying length available will be welcomed by larger families – but may it be a bit too big for some smaller homes. The drier can be used indoors or out, but if used outside and it begins to rain you may need two people to lift it indoors safely – it is heavy and a bit awkward to carry – although the two rollers with their 360° swivel joints make this model a bit easier to manoeuvre. We use our drier in a spare bedroom and when collapsed it stores behind the door quite well. This airer is a well designed and well made product that comes with Leifheit's guarantee of durability and is sure to easily outlast many similar products. This is a useful product that is likely to get more use than our tumble drier this year and we have a dehumidifier which we can run next to the Pegasus to prevent too much condensation building up in the colder weather. This is a clever but simple design which at Amazon's current price of around sixty-six pounds represents reasonable value for the build quality and the accessories included – five stars at the price but remember this is a large item that will take up the space of a bed in your spare room!

As a rather obvious introduction, this is a very large clothes airer. It boasts 20m of hanging space and takes up a large amount of the room. The construction seems solid and it's nice that it comes on wheels to be moved out of the way of the washing machine and tumble drier. For the rather expensive price you get a couple of special features. Chief amongst these are the small red grabber rails for socks and other small items. These are ingenious and really helpful - I wish they covered both main sides but unfortunately they are only on one. Similarly useful are the windproof clipping on hangars. Once again these are well designed but at the price of the item I really would expect more than five (the drier can accommodate double this). There is also a peg bag and a mesh sheet that covers the rails of the drier. I couldn't see a use for this, nor a way to attach it (having to eventually look up supplier's website who describe "To treat woolen garments or other delicates with special care, a soft fine drying mesh can be clipped to the frame so items can dry flat"). From their pictures this attaches from the two innermost wires on the wings. The wings are either folded over, or fully extended, with nothing in between. If you have the money to spare this is a good quality, solid, and most of all large clothes airer. However for this price I would really expect more from the unique selling points and can't justify this as a five star product.

Pegasus 200 clothes airer.............It’s a large clothes Airer which comes complete with Pretty much everything you need to dry clothes from your delicates to your novelty socks.Size......Because of the large size of the airerIt is more than capable of coping with a families washday. The airer has these specialist drying areas.Sock railsHunger railsFlat drying topSo it is able to cope with what ever you have washed from delicate woolens which need to be dried flat to socks and pants which can be pegged on with the little red clips to optimise not only drying but space too.Build quality........This is made to last, it is strong and sturdy, made from good quality plastics and strong coated metals. When in use it is strong enough to cope with heavy washing, stands firm and is stable.Item dry effectively both indoors and outside making this ideal for all seasons. In winter when it is wet and cold outside this is great to use in a warm house, maybe in front of the radiator, however good ventilation will be needed. In summer this can be used outside as either at your main dryer or on major washdays as an over spill dryer in addition to your regular washing line. The little extras like the peg bag, peg-lets and hangers are great, a really practical addition to the set.

This is a very well made and solid dryer for use either in the home or outside. Given its configuration, it takes up a lot of floor space if the two end pieces are folded out but, by the same token, it will take lots of items for drying. If your floor space is limited then an A-shaped dryer is probably a better option. One big advantage of this dryer, however, is that it can accommodate garments that need to be dried whilst laying flat. The dryer itself comes supplied with hangers and a bag for pegs, and these are specially designed for use on the frame. There is also a facility to hang items such as socks on the side rails using the supplied clips. In short you can get a lot of items on to this dryer and it sits very stably on the ground, with the two end 'wings' locking into position to prevent collapse in winds if used outdoors. There is a slightly different, newer version of this dryer that has wheels on the base at one side allowing you to move the frame around more easily but, frankly, mobility is not really an issue unless you are, for example, wanting two move it from indoors to outdoors or vice versa. Not the cheapest of clothes dryers, but its solid and well-finished build, its design and its efficacy for purpose make this worth the money for something that will last.

This airer stands quite tall so nothing would reach the ground when hung over the bars, or especially the wings at the sides. It comes with a mesh with clips so that fixes securely on to the main part so that you can dry things flat on it, such as hand knitted jumpers. It has wheels on one side so you can simply lift the other side and roll it along. It even has special clip on coat hangers and a clip on bag to keep all the clips or some pegs in, if you have it outside and it is a little windy. It is very sturdy and will hold a lot of laundry. I think they advertise it as two wash loads. Well that depends on the size of your washing machine, and the articles you’ve washed. It all folds flat quite easily for storage. It was pretty easy to construct out of the box, though you have to look very carefully when you clip the wheels on. I got one wrong to begin with, and it was an awful job getting it off again.I have found it invaluable on showery days. I csn easily lift it inside when a shower comes and then out again when the rain stops and the sin shones again. The wheels are useful for this purpose.

This airer can be used both indoors and outdoors and provides a lot of hanging space in a small area. It is especially good for items that need to be dried while flat.It does however take up quite a lot of floor space when in use, taking up a space of approximately 67cm by 180cm (2ft x 6ft), so, if you plan to use it indoors, make sure that you have the space for it. Even when folded flat it is still quite bulky, measuring 66.5 x 95 x 5.99 cm (2ft x 3ft x 2.5in), so, again, make sure that you have the storage space for it.It claims to provide 20m of hanging space, which, in theory, it does, but only if you use every single bar. Do that and your clothes will be so tightly packed, they will take ages to dry.A more sensible estimate of usable drying space is 10m.It is relatively simple to put up, but it is a bit like a deckchair and doesn't always do as you want. The more space you have around you, the easier it is to put up.So, all in all, a handy airer/dryer to have if you are short of space, and particularly useful in wet weather when you can't hang stuff outdoors.

I'm really impressed with this mobile drying rack. There would appear to have been an awful lot of thought put into this item as Leifheit appear to have left nothing out. From the way the drying rack folds flat to the ease of manouevring it about fully laden you can almost hear the designers saying what else do we need to do. This comes packed complete with wheels that rotate through 360 degrees, fold out wings that enable you to hang shirts, two holders that grip small items - like socks, an intergral hanger bar with five hangers that click into place, a laundry peg bag (alas no pegs) and a mesh that enables you to lay out items (like knitwear) to dry flat. It will take approximately 16kgs of washing (about two loads)with ease and has the equivalent lineage of around 20m of conventional washing line. This is really just a well thought out piece of kit and whilst expensive is certainly worth it as I feel sure it will last a long time. As my grandmother used to say "Quality will out".

The Pegasus 200 comes with plenty added extras, 4 wheels to make the Airer mobile and easy to manoeuvre around the home and/or garden. The Airer also comes with a number of drying hangers as well fold out additions to add even move clothes to it.I absolute love the Pegasus 200 because my wife always loads the unmovable airier in the most inconvenience of places, now I can easily move our new airier to more convenient spots around the home. While this little number is quite pricey, its worth every penny due to how sturdy it is and the amount of thoughtful added extra's there are available such as drying hangers useful for drying shirts, sock holders,a Velcro attachable peg-holder and an amazing net that clips onto the airier that I have absolutely no idea what to use it for.The only thing certain about buying a cheep supermarket airier is that you are guaranteed to need a new one very soon, however not with the Pegasus 200, this baby will be around for a while.

I thought it would be good but the airer has exceeded all expectations. It is well made. It is very well designed. I have a similar airer in style because they do not blow over. The arms go out to the side and catch the wind but do not topple over. This airer has many extras. Like 5 hangars. The hangars are also well designed and are able to swivel around when the wind blows. There is a place to hang the hangars to keep them on the airer.another place has notch to slide in small garments like underwear and socks. There is a small peg bag that will fasten onto a rail. The airer is coated so it will not snag any washing. It is so easy to wheel out and put to use. The total drying length is 22 metres and that is a full washing load.Plus it all dries!I love mundane items that do what you need them to do and do it well. So I am actually thrilled with this.I have been using it every day for a week and can say it is a brilliant clothes Airer.

This Airer is great, the quality is second to none and it folds up really flat.I’ve got a condensing tumble dryer in my flat but there are some things that I don’t want to put in it, like my work shirts or some delicate wool items. There is loads of drying space on offer with this airer and even when fully loaded it is very stable. The addition of the pegs is a nice touch and the 5 hangers also come in useful for keeping shirts in shape, rather than hanging them over the wires (cuts down on the need for ironing).I keep this tucked away neatly in the corridor and bring it out in the morning before going to work or on an evening before bed, the most important thing to me though is that it folds away neatly so it can be put out of sight, last thing I want is it taking up permanent space in my flat or out on show when I have guests round. At just short of £60 this is a premium price, but I feel I’ve got a premium product that will last.

This is a large, robust airer, with enough hanging space to take a full wash. It can be used inside or outside.I love:- it is easy to open up and fold away again for storage- it is sturdy and stable, it won’t fall over no matter how unevenly you load it- it has little clips on the side for small items (eg socks)- it has wings that open up and are higher off the ground (for longer items like trousers), but can be folded back into place if not needed- it comes with a nylon mesh cover, so that you can lay a delicate sweater out instead of hanging it (obviously, this then uses a lot of hanging space)- it also has a little peg bag- and 5 plastic hangers, which have a little notch in the hook so that they clip securely onto the top railsSomeone has clearly put a lot of thought into designing this, and I love it. I would give it 5*s … but who pays £82 for an airer???

I have actually come back and bought another clothes airer - the exact same one. We have two kids and a super king bed so we need another as I can’t deal with dealing sheets over showers etc... I’d not go back to traditional airer now, they warp and bend with weight of clothes and I always run out of space. The little clips for socks is very hands. I don’t use the hangers but I’m sure they’re useful for some people say who have a lot of shirts. It does take up a lot of space but if the wings aren’t in use you can fold them back and it can be wheeled outside. Hands down best clothes horse / clothes airer I’ve encountered. It’s worth the cost - laundry is a pain no matter wat you look at it but this eases pressure in our house as we now have plenty of room and I know they will last for many years to come.

You receive a very well made clothes airer, which has that touch of genuine quality to it.The Airer has 10 main body rails, and the sides, plus 7 on the side bits, plenty of room for hangers, towels etc, this also comes with I2 hangers for small items, 5 wind-proof coat hangers, laundry pin bag and waved clothes hanger barFolds away neatly and very easily, when folded it measures roughly 950 x 665 x 60mm H x W x D. not a great deal of weight to it.I’ve used a similar one, different brand, for a number of years, we have enough space in our laundry room, this fits perfectly and is a very useful slightly bigger one.I’ve had a few Leifheit products and they can sometimes be over engineered and not always great, this I would happily recommend, probably the best made I’ve had and seen.
