Airers are often underrated and dismissed as retro, but they can save £s in the electricity used by a tumble drier. The big argument against them is that they can take up too much space in a small home, and with that in mind Leifheit have ingeniously designed the ideal shower stall airer. Its foot print means this neat item can live discreetly and usefully inside a shower when the airer is opened up, or stored flat against a wall, out of the way, when not required. It only takes a a few minutes to work out how to construct/deconstruct the airer; once you have done it a couple of times it will become second nature.The airer can take a large quantity of laundry, the manufacturer claims two loads and I can believe that,

This is a very large airer. I get deliveries sent to work and this airer was so large that I had real difficulty getting it home as it wouldn’t fit in my car, even with the seats down! So calling it a space-saver might seem a bit ironic, but it really is a very efficient use of a small amount of floor space. The little socks/smalls clips work really well too.With my kids in mind, I’m impressed for several reasons. It’s sturdier than other cheaper airers that I’ve seen- you really need to give it a deliberate and forceful push to topple it over, it’s not going to get knocked over by accident. It also has fewer potential finger traps than others I’ve seen,

Leifheit Pegasus Tower 190 Clothes airer is a good and very handy way of drying clothes. I find it easy to set up and it fits neatly into my wetroom which is the main reason I chose it. I find it to be tall which means it is easy to topple over, therefore, I would advise to spread your damp washing out evenly as possible.This is a well-made product and it is a clothes airer which is made with a good solid material compared to another clothes airer I have, though I would state the one I previously owned cost half what the Leifheit clothes airer. Therefore it is clearly a case of paying for what you get.I love Leifheit products as they always last longer compared to other cheaper makes.

This is a very large clothes airer, as evidenced by the size of the box when it arrives at your door.There are some instructions, which are best left aside as you try to figure out what swings and clips where to get things into a simple A-frame shape. After you’ve done it, it makes so much more sense and easily goes up and down depending on whether you’re using your airer or storing it away.I was impressed by the compact size of the airer compared to how much washing it holds. The bottom footprint is just 66cm x 61cm and with the flat shelves, I found it pushed back into corners without any problems. There are three shelves with 11 lines across each meaning there is a lot of space for your clothes.

An extremely useful bit of kit ... the Leifheit Pegasus Tower Clothes Airer ... perfect for those who prefer to air dry as opposed to using a tumble dryer. Also good for anyone living in a flat or small apartment that may have a lack of outside drying space.This airer is well made from good quality and strong steel tubing and when erected it is very sturdy. Amazingly even though this airer can dry almost two full wash loads, it takes up an incredibly small space ... It will even fit in the base of a shower cubicle.Very easy to use, it folds down flat for storage and it's quick and easy to erect ready for use. Good if you have no access to a clothes line or in an area with a lot of rain.Assembly took a moment the first time to figure out the order in which to swing and clip the three racks. After that, very simple. The airier folds flat to it can be stored hung on the back of airing cupboard door or possibly slid under a bed.Each rack is a good size and would be fine for laying pullovers etc. flat to try. The wires on the racks make it easy to hang clothes to dry; so long as you put items on both sides of the frame it remains quite stable and I had no problems with bath towels. It's large enough to let you space items to let air circulate and help dry the items.Also supplied are two sets of clips which let you quickly attach socks,

This product is a godsend for small spaces and lots of washing! The clothes airer comes complete and flatpacked and complete with pegs to keep the airer upright. It can hold so much washing, I was shocked at how tall it is! We managed to fit on two loads of towels and a load of socks and let it dry naturally - you can even pop it outside if putting up the washing line's a bit too much effort (let's face it - it is!) - the main selling point of this airer is that it is perfect for small spaces and can fit into a shower cubicle - I can agree that this is totally correct as we've tried it. It's best to put a sticky non-slip mat under the airer beforehand though and to make sure the shower head doesn't drip all over it!

My old drying stand or "horse" as my kids used to call it ..was falling apart due to age and it was so difficult to choose a replacement ..you pick one that you think might do but when you read the reviews you're put off..this is well made and can take a substantial amount of washing , you will need storage space for it as it's not small but it does fold reasonably flat and I can store it in my downstairs loo it's not cheap but then you do get what you pay for and as already mentioned this is very well made and in the EU ,it's sturdy and doesn't feel as if it's about to collapse when fully loaded it keeps washing off of the radiators too and therefore cuts down on condensation ..all in all an

As we did not have an existing airer looking at this model quickly decided us that it was the one for us. The multi levels for hanging items to dry and air makes excellent use of the space. The 3 levels can be used to hand over 3 dozen items. The flat surface also allows you to lay out items for airing in addition and provides so many options. The tower looks bigger than some other airers and so you can hang the whole width of an item without have to pull it in from the sides. This will be plenty big enough for 2 to 3 people. The frame is quite sturdy and we intend to use it in the utility area or outside when it is dry and sunny.

Often there is not a lot one can say about a clothes airer. It aires clothes!However, this is such a handy airer that I have had everything from a duvet to blankets, general washing to heavy towels - and all either hung from or draped over the airer.This is a good alternative to a higher line or rotary airer as it's lightweight and can be placed on any solid surface such as a courtyard, laundry room or balcony. It has three tiers and can use normal clothes pegs.I especially liked draping larger items over it and leaving to dry outside, it took my super king size duvet with ease.Overall a very good buy and also a good back up for if your line is full and you have that next load of washing

This is the best airer I have ever had. It goes nicely against the wall when not in use and opens up easily to be used. It doesn not collapse into a compact form when not in use. For me this is not a problem as it is against the shower wall. It is sturdy and strong. Since I mainly hang clothes on hangers so to limit ironing this is great for that. You can hang other washing on it without hangers as well and it comes with a net for flat drying! I havent dried sheets on it as I use a dryer or the great outdoors for them, but you can hang several sheets folded on the rungs. Good sturdy airer that doesn't take up much floor space for the amount of clothes you can get on it. It's a little more expensive than some airers but it's good quality and the design is really good for saving space. It took a few minutes to figure out how to set it up the first time around but after that it's nice and simple (although to be honest I mostly leave it set up). It folds pretty flat but still tall so you'd need space to accommodate that. The middle section also folds out of the way so you can hang longer items of clothing. A bonus for me is being able to hang a superking sized duvet cover over the top of the airer without any of it dragging on the ground.

I've dropped one star from this because I really was hoping/expecting it to fit into my shower cubicle and it doesn't. I have a corner shower cubicle with curved doors so maybe that is the problem, but even if my shower had been square, I don't think it would fit. It's compact enough that I can and am using it in the corner of my bathroom, but it would have been much more convenient to have been able to stand it in the shower. Easy to open up and assemble it gives you a decent amount of hanging space which doubles as potential flat-drying too.Ideal for small spaces as it can be easily collapsed down flat again when not in use, and stored out of the way.

The metal is coated in wipe clean plastic. The side holders are plastic but this is strong and well designed and should last a long time. The whole unit folds flat for storage and takes up very little space.In use.It will hold a lot of clothes and is great for drying my shirts on. It is designed to fit in a standard shower cubicle but the legs will also spread to go over a bath if needed.Overall.I am very pleased with this due its clever design, build quality and it is easy to store.

Simply constructed yet sturdy when opened up and latched into place this clothes airer can take a full load from the washing machine and yet will fit inside a shower cubicle or bath if you need to put it out of the way. The finish is of a very high quality sufficient to survive even being left outside when not in use. The layout of the different levels allow for any type of clothes to be applied from trousers to socks. This saved me a lot of money over summer by drying outdoors rather than using a tumble dryer. The results are quickly dried and fresh smelling clothes.
