This product is easy to assemble and folds flat in a few seconds. It's sturdy enough for heavier items like jeans and if you utilise the space well, it can easily accommodate a large wash load all at once unlike a lot of other clothes airers (even if they claim to!)The bottom level needs to be kept horizontal to ensure sturdiness but the other two levels can be altered to accommodate different items of clothing. The rails are narrow so you can use pegs or hangers and if you have clothes that need to be flat-dried then use the shelves horizontally...or a mixture of both.StorageAlthough it is flat and narrow when dismantled, I found it was too wide to fit into the under-stairs cupboard (unlike the ironing board)but if you have a full sized storage cupboard then there wouldn't be a problem.PriceI personally feel the price is a little steep but if you don't like hanging clothes on radiators, or have limited outdoor access for a washing line then I can see it being worth the cost.

I can't fault this airer at all. It is easy to assemble, and despite its height (5ft; 150cm) is compact in terms of width (26in; 67cm) and depth (24in; 61cm). Its height is partially what makes it such a good airer, as it allows the stand to have three fully flat racks (the other part of what makes this such a good airer) on which to hang clothes, which enables far more clothes to be hung than on the slanting racks found on most airers. I find I can easily fit a full load of washing on this airer - probably closer to a load and a half. Admittedly this item doesn't come cheap, but if like me, you've been getting annoyed with airers ever since you've had to use them, this will probably be money well spent. It seems like a very sturdy piece of kit, and is easy to store once folded up.

This is pretty good as clothes airers go. I think it may be too much to ask that someone designs one that actually looks really good and functions well, but at least this does the latter. It's nice and big so you can hang a whole lot of washing on the airer and the rungs are well spaced so it allows for the right amount of air circulation. It's easy to put up and take down. The only thing that I would say is missing is a place to hang things on hangers (my old airer had a clip in/clip out piece of plastic on the top). Generally shirts dry better on a hanger and it's not great to have to hang them elsewhere. Also, if you have restricted space in which to store things this airer is pretty large. If you have a utility room or large under stairs cupboard you'll be fine!

The whole thing folds surprisingly flat, so I was able to stash it in the gap between my upright freezer and the wall. It comes up and down in about thirty seconds flat, but I've managed to catch at least one of my fingers every single time. I'll learn eventually - there's very little you can do to out-engineer my ham-fisted pawing.Once it's up it feels very stable and you'd really have to go out of your way to make it topple. I'm hoping the plastic fittings will last, though if they were metal I'd probably look like a second-rate Yakuza by now.The wire rack spacing is perhaps a little tight and it might have been nice to have perhaps one option for bulkier clothes to hang from but it's notthe end of the world. All in all I'm very pleased with it.

Our previous Minky airer collapsed in a matter of months , so I was determined to find something a bit more durable . So far, this has not disappointed but time will tell if it has been made to last. The price is a bit steep but you pay for what you get I suppose. The best thing about the airer is the amount of line space, I can easily put 2lods of wading to dry at the same time. The airer folds flat but it quite tall when folded, so make sure you check the final folding height prior to purchase. Quite lightweight so easy to carry in and out of apgarden while dodging the rain. Delivery was also quicker than the estimated delivery time, which is always a bonus. Overall,I will recommend this product to households with big washing loads.

This is a good quality product, robust and easy to use. The shape is great if you're looking for a clothes airer that doesn't have much of a footprint but gives you plenty of hanging space. The fact that the middle rack can hang down without affecting the stability of the airer is great: it means you can hang long items like trousers and towels without the bottoms bunching up. The tower also looks quite neat and pleasing, even when loaded with washing. The one warning I would make is: when folded away flat the tower is still quite tall (160cm or so) so if, like me, you're looking to store this in a cupboard when not in use, make sure it fits before buying it!I had to re-jig some cupboard space to get it hidden away on non-wash days.

I don't know why I didn't expect this clother airer to be so big as the dimensions are clearly stated in the description. But it's deal over the winter months especially. The airier is great as it has flat drying space for such things as jumpers as well as plenty of hanging space. It's very simple to put up and fold down. My only niggle is that it is so big it doesn't fit in a cupboard so currently it's stored in the spare room. However that is not a reason for me to deduct a star in the rating. The best thing about this airer is its excellent quality. My last airier fell to bits - it wasn't a Leifheit!I just wish I had bought one of these before.I must admit that the price did put me off but you do really get what you pay for!

I have many shirts that have labels advising not to put them in a tumble drier, but where to hang them to dry when I cannot use the outside line due to our very wet climate? Well, now I can dry them, & anything else I have washed, on this fabulous airer. It has lots of space in which to hang up to about two loads & for all that, it takes up little floor space. It is easy to put up, & equally easy to fold down. It folds flat & needs little space when stored. It is sturdy, extremely well made, as you would demand for the price you pay, & I expect it to last for quite a few years to come. I will prolong the life of my shirts, & save on the electricity bills now I don't have to use my tumble drier each wash.A great item. Recommended.

Got this having not quite appreciated the enormous dimensions!Pros:-Large area of drying space-Actually not a complete eyesore like most airers!-Sturdy-Enables drying clothes flatCons:-Rather tricky to use initially, until you get the hang of it-Very large when folded so awkward to store - it is 160cm long/ tall when folded, so needs tall storage, but is slim, so could slip into the space alongside a tall fridge/ freezer unit for example-ExpensiveI was unconvinced at first, but once I got the hang of the folding mechanism, it is fairly straightforward to use. I'd recommend it if you have the space to store it when not in use.

Wow ! I love this so much ! I've been used to having 2 wobbly airers up for the past few years and finally had enough of them . So although this cost more than I usually spend on an airer I wish I had bought it years before. It's really sturdy and doesn't wobble at all and as it's tall rather than wide it takes up less space in my lounge and is less imposing. Also as it's taller it means better air circulation around the washing so it dries quicker which is what I really needed as I don't have space for a dryer.Overall it's worth the money and if it does ever break one day I will buy one again for sure.

The Leifheit Tower 190 is quite simply a Godsend! It is sturdy. It is large enough to hold a load and a half of washing at any one time (2 loads if they are not huge). The Tower 190 is quick and easy to erect and to fold away but, Hallelujah - there are no John Cleese moments whilst doing that!! The Tower 190 is compact when down, so does not require a large amount of space to store. An added bonus is that the Tower 190 comes complete with a set or sturdy plastic hangers ( better than wood which stains or metal which rusts), a peg bag, a drying net and also a device for hanging socks. Thank you Leifheit!

This is not a dryer for the faint hearted, when the box arrived I wasn't quite sure what it was as the box was substantial. The dryer is sold as having 19m of drying space and this is to be believed. There are three tiers to it with the clothes hanging down flat.It is quite intuitive to set up, though took a little bit of thinking at the very start. When folded down it does remain quite a substantial device. If you don't have much house space, be warned. That said, if you are splashing out on this then space should not be an issue. It appears quite well designed and durable and so looks good value.

Really pleased with this clothes airer. It replaced a much smaller flimsy one so it is such an improvement. It was easy to set up and you can fold one of the bits away to create a larger drying space for large items. It's really sturdy too and never feels like it will fall over or collapse (which of course it never has).Only downside is that it is very large, so if you don't have much storage space, it may be an issue, but it does fold flat for storing under a bed for example when not in use.

Needed a new airer after the old one collapsed. Initially bought a relatively inexpensive one from the local hardware store (supporting local high street businesses) - it collapsed after one wash load! Found this one after some research and I can recommend it to anyone. Solid construction and good size, I don't know how long the guarantee is but I can imagine it may well last a lifetime. 5/5.

I like to save on my utility bills, and the Leifheit 81436 Tower 190 Clothes Airer allows me to do just that. It is spacious and compact; that is, enough for a large number of items yet not intrusive as it is collapsible for storage when not in use.
