I got the set of four cupcakes for my 3 year old daughter who adores playing tea parties and has several styles of cakes that she likes to serve to her teddies from different toy brands.Overall these compare quite well to others she owns, they are quite small (largest one is 2.5 inches tall, with a 3cm diameter) but in good proportion for little hands, they are well painted with good attention to detail. One cupcake has a cherry on the top with a felt stalk which is a lovely detail and I wish the others had similar felt embellishments. For the price (currently at just under £15) I would expect a little more to be honest. They're really lovely, and I do think its worth investing in quality role play toys like these as they tend to last a long time and get played with a lot (that is the case in our house anyway), but I wouldn't want to pay more than £10 for these nevertheless. My daughter is very happy with these which is what matters most, but even though I love that these are wooden, they don't get favoured more than her plastic cupcakes by her!

I like a doughnut, the bigger the better. The doughnuts from Le Toy Van are not big, in fact they are diddy. It is a little surprising at first, but then you realise they are the perfect size for the average toy kitchen and the small hands that will use them. These small doughnuts are made from wood and all have different looking icing. The wood is of a high quality and they are painted very well. They feel like the type of thing that will survive the test of time and be available to buy in a vintage store 60 years in the future. They have that classic wooden appeal that adults like. They are certainly nicer to hold and look at than the plastic versions you can get.But that comes at an extra cost and most kids are happy with the vibrant orange plastic doughnuts you can get. This collection of wooden cakes is best for those that already have some wooden foodstuff in their toy kitchen. They will fit in perfectly with the aesthetic of a little wooden kitchen, less so a massive dayglo plastic one. The quality is undeniable.

Cutest little, wooden macarons.Presented perfectly in this unique deli style, patisserie box. There are 4 macarons in each box.The first one is of brown chocolate colour. This even has a darkened centre on the top of the macaron like you would if you've baked them. The second is a yellow colour. We can pretend this is lemon. It looks yummy! The third is pink with an adorable flower presented on top. On the base of this one is the le toy van logo. The fourth is a duck egg blue colour with a dark pink centre, this has adorable little spots on top like that of a duck egg too! Each macaron has a good healthy dollop of cream inside the middle of each one.I absolutely love these wooden toys. They seem to last such a long time. Each one is made very well and seems durable. Easy to wipe clean too. They each look delicious and adorable.I would definitely recommend these. So many to add to this collection too. Your little one will have lots of fun with these little macarons. Letting their imagination run free.

These have a bright and colourful appearance, that was immediately appealing to my young niece. Even though she is only a little over one, she immediately knew what these represent and took to using them in imaginative play, pretending to feed various family members, or simply hoarding all the cake for herself! They have a good, chunky form and an ideal size for babies and toddlers, being about the size of petit fours. Despite being made out of wood they look quite tasty! The paint used is non-toxic, so should be absolutely safe for toddlers, as is to be expected from a trusted brand like Le Toy Van. We have had several of their toys in the past, and have always found them to be of great quality.I do think that, perhaps, these are a little over-priced for what you get and could do with maybe being two or three pounds cheaper.

Le Toy Van TV331 Wooden Pretend Cupcakes Set Role PlayOur little girl has several Le Toy wooden toys, this set of wooden cupcakes will go nicely with what she already has.The cupcakes are supplied in a set of 4, each very different from the other. They are made from non splintering smooth rubber-wood, the paints used are non-toxic so should be harmless to a child. These cupcakes look quite realistic, each is styled on a different cake. It makes me hungry just looking at them. Our little girl not only offers us a cup of tea from her play set, we are also offered wooden fruit, along with these wooden cupcakes. These are great quality, well made and should last for ages!CONTENTS:4 x CupcakesThank you for reading my review,I hope you have found it helpful.

These pretty little pretend play macarons are perhaps a little expensive compared to other wooden toys from this (and other brands), but have quite a lot of detail to them, are eminently recognisable as macarons, and are nicely made from sustainable wood. The macarons are little, but not too small so are safe for over 2s. The colours are nicely done and range between appealing natural pastel/natural effects and vividly colourful ones - precisely as macarons can in real life. Not quite the full 5 stars for me, as the pink macaron had a little chip missing from the edge of the wood on the top layer - this had been painted over, so had clearly happened during manufacture, but leaves this section a little rough feeling.

strawberry with hundreds and thousandschocolate with bananavanilla with sprinklesmint with chocolateare the flavours of these doughnuts as defined by my 3 year old grand-daughter, who was quick to set up a pop-up shop to distribute the doughnuts to family members - bit of a woody aftertaste but not bad at all (do not try this at home, kids!). she already has a 'le toy van' basket and till set, and the doughnuts merge perfectly with this, adding new lines to her busy emporium. she enjoys play (and learning) with these toys made in a traditional way, but with a modern and fresh feel to them. robustly presented and manufactured, the doughnuts will sell and sell and sell.........wooden that be nice?

A lovely set of wooden toy macaroons for your bakery. They look good enough to eat, but I can’t say I am overly tempted but the brown one it looks a little out of place from the vibrant colours of the others. They are decorated with water based paints and states this is safe for kids. The wood has been responsibly sourced which is also reassuring. As usual with Le Toy Van they are well made, strong and sturdy wooden toys priced at £9.90.If the brown one had not been included and instead another pastel colour I would have been tempted to give 5* but I just don’t like the colour or design of it.A nice addition to any pretend afternoon tea and will encourage communication through role play.

As with all the wooden toys from Le toy van, the quality of these cupcakes was excellent. We have made a conscious effort to try and minimise the amount of throwaway plastic toys our children have and have found that the more wooden toys that we introduced into the nursery the more interested the children become and the longer they maintain the interest in that toy. It's like they can feel a sense of connection to the wooden toy that they maybe don't get from cheap plastic toys. All I know is that as with every wooden toy from this brand the finish is excellent and I can see them lasting for a number of years and being passed over to other children of our friends and in the family.

My niece’s Le Toy Van collection is growing and she was very happy to add this well-made delightful wooden macaron set.We have a large selection of LTV toys and have always been extremely pleased with the quality. In this ‘Educational Wooden Honeybake Pretend Play French Macarons Set’ you get 4 macarons in yellow, pink, blue and brown. My niece loves to arrange tea parties with all her dolls and cuddly toys and asks them to choose their favourite macaron, very cute and really does encourage imaginative play. LTV always have an emphasis on safe play and ethically sourced wood making their toys a top choice. If you don’t know Le Toy Van, then I would highly recommend them.

These are sweet little macaroons for pretend play.No sophisticated tea party should be without a macaroon, these pretty like wooden macaroons are true to size and very pretty, they realistic enough from a distance but up close you know that they are wooden and not genuine. They are great for pretend play which build the imagination, vocabulary and all sorts of fine motor skills. After your little one has grown out of them they are pretty enough to use for decoration.Build quality is good, they are smooth and the paintwork perfect, they feel nice in the hand and look pretty in the plate, but should new teeth be tried out on them they will show the scars.

I have the Ark and a toaster from Le Toy Van and my great grandchildren absolutely love them. My nearly 3 year old great granddaughter will play for ages with them and her 5 year old brother although getting older still likes a little play. They take all the rough and tumble that little ones can dish out and never show wear. I had therefore hesitation of taking these macrons as the little one loves giving tea parties and already uses the toaster so these will be a great addition. There are 4 in the box. They are wooden and beautifully decorated and really quite realistic.. These are great and i will be looking for more additions to the tea party

Designed in the UK, manufactured in Indonesia, oh, I think they may've shrunk in transit! You get 4 small (approx 6cm tall average), in the following styles - blueberry muffin, cherry topped, fairy and another orange cake. These are well made out of wood, with safe non-toxic paint. They are fun, but a tad on the small side, ideal for dolls tea parties but not big enough for Daddies, we could destroy whole gateuxs!Overall I like these, but they lose a star on value for money as they are a tad small for the price. Recommended if you get em on offer!

This is a cute set of painted wooden doughnuts. They come in lovely packaging and the doughnuts themselves are adorable and very nicely painted. Obviously these will appeal to any parents who are trying to cut down on the number of plastic toys they are buying. These doughnuts are very durable and could be passed on to other children in the future. I do feel they are very pricey though. A child will presumably want a few more items for their pretend bakery or tea party so buying these wooden toys could get extremely expensive.

Millie, who is nearly four, has a kitchen filled with a variety of items to keep her imagination going. Now added to her range of treats and delicacies are these four cup cakes. I can't deny that being given the same one whenever we're told to sit round the table for tea is getting rather tedious for me (I want the one with the cherry for a change) but Millie knows what she's doing even if no one else does.Expensive? Yes, but you have to divide the cost by the hours of use they get. And no price can be put on that.
