Recently I started to get a little fed up with non-stick cookware. For saucepans in particular I decided that it was not really necessary and could they be replaced by a more long lasting type. Shopping & internet searches inevitably led to Le Creuset. The first one I bought was in a local shop and you have to see and feel it to believe it. They are solid, heavy and beautiful to look at. The extra pan handle is useful, the main handle is rigidly riveted to the heavy duty pan itself and remains cool to the touch. The lid is tight fitting with a sensible handle. Easy to clean, dishwasher friendly and you will never have to worry about how long the non-stick will last. Overall exquisite,I now have the full set. They will outlast me.

This is a very well designed pan. The only negative thing I could say about it is that it is heavier than my previous pan. It is really sturdy and is easily washed in the dishwasher without harm. I have had it for a month and have found that it is the pan that I chose first, mainly for its even heat distribution and lack of hot spots which burn food at the edge of the pan. The lip around the edge of the pan is very effective and so everything pours easily. My previous (not Le Creuset) stainless steel saucepan lasted for 26 years before the welds became unsafe and the handle became wobbly. This Le Creuset one is far more substantial.

I know generally Le Creuset products are of very high quality. When I opened box, I felt it is rather smaller than I expected. However, the stainless steel finish is so shine and makes my kitchen look fab. I just love it.While I cook with it, I found the lid and the pan fit tightly so it keeps very well nutrients in the pan rather than let it evaporate which makes dishes taste better. However, I never expected that the handles would become hot. While cooking, the long one becomes just slightly warm but the short one becomes hot. I have to use a glove.

I have lived with Le Creuset since my childhood and inherited my cast-iron ware from my mother well over 30 years ago. However, now having an induction hob, I have slowly been building up me "collection" of their stainless steel pans and have to admit the quality is still as good as it has ever been. I feel sure that this pan will give me as many years of service as I have had from the old heavy cast-iron pans. Easy to clean and handle with rugged build and good looks - what more can a happy cook ask for?

I bought a set of Le Creuset saucepans about 10 years ago. I have been delighted with them in every way. They are lovely and heavy and feel good to use and food doesn't burn or stick to the surface - so easy to clean. Because I have been so pleased with these pans I have recently bought another 18cm pan as I often needed another of this size. It is a slightly different design but still has all the extremely good qualities. They are quite expensive but I think worth the money.

Very happy with these pots and pans. I bought one a month as they are so expensive but totally worth every penny. It's my 4th set of saucepans. The first 3 sets were expensive and good brands but still broke and handles fell off etc. these are rock solid. Heavy but brilliantly made. I was worried the food would stick and burn etc because they are not non-stick. But they don't stick at all! If you're not sure or worried about spending so much, go for it!

Excellent quality, as I expect from Le Creuset. I’ve been using this a lot for cooking steel cut porridge, and making curry sauces, and it’s fantastic. Really good heat distribution means you can cook on low to mid temperatures, really giving time to let the flavours build in your food. I own several Le Creuset enamel cast iron pots and pans, and this is just as reliable as them. It’s a pleasure to cook with, and I love how smart it looks.

Great saucepan, just like the rest of the range. I use it every morning for porridge...big enough to contain all the splashes which usually hit the cooker top when my partner stirs it! No problems with sticking. I put a little warm water into it while the porridge is devoured, then scoop out the bits and put it in the dishwasher. Perfect. No nasty non stick bits attaching themselves to our porridge now. This will last a lifetime.

Moved from gas to induction and Anolon pan set didn't work - pans that came with new hob were OK but...After reading reviews saying the handles got hot I wasn't sure enough to invest in the 3 pan set at >£300 - chose this one because it was a size I missed having. The 3 pan set isn't much of a saving over separates anyway.Handles *don't* get too hot to hold on induction hob - I can only assume other reviewers were using gas.

If you like a pan that keeps an even heat for impressive results at medium cooking temperatures these are the pans for you! If you don't like heavy (weighty) pans, then steer clear. The lid offers a very good seal for fantastic simmering of sauces and stews. Overall quality is outstanding - the handles won't be falling off these like they do on inferior, cheaply manufactured pans.I will be replacing my old pans with these.

Really good pan. I bought this as I was struggling to get even heat through my induction hob, so when I tried to make caramel some burnt before other parts were cooked, I equally couldn’t seem to get the temperature high enough. This pan has completely resolved this issue achieving a higher and even heat. Highly, highly recommend worth every penny. This is a true example of you get what you pay for.

This is my first le Creuset stainless steel saucepan but definitely not my last. It's so much more efficient than my older & cheaper pans distributing the heat evenly so avoiding hotspots & I'm able to use a lower gas settings too. Compared to inexpensive saucepans the initial outlay is high but the pleasure & efficiencies make le Creuset well worth it as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah, a saucepan. We wanted another small one to supplement the set of three we bought. Excellent quality, look stunning, cook very well. The heat distribution must be very good - the new one was used for cheese sauce (over gas), and when washing up we found the label on the outside bottom. Not even charred!.Not sure if they are worth the money. Ask me in ten years ;-)

For me it was an expensive purchase - but it's worth it for this quality. Porridge will stick to it if not stirred continuously, but nothing else has so far. Cleaning is straightforward and it often just goes straight in the dishwasher. This together with a cheap non-stick pan for some egg and milk dishes covers all the basics. I'd love a set of these at some point.

These pans are superb. The 16cm is an ideal general purpose pan, big enough for most things and not too heavy. Beware the sizing refers to internal diameter so the 16 cm pan measures 18cm across the rim. I bought also the 18 cm one which measures 20 cm across and is a little too large and heavy for me. So far the pans have done everything they claim to do.
