I chose these pot handle gloves because I have a pair of Le Creuset pot mitts which are about 15 years old and still going strong (though I would love Le Creuset to start making them again please so that I could get some new ones!) I correctly assumed that these pot handle gloves would be of similar quality. Using my pot mitts as a guide I fully expect these to last a decade.I moved from an induction hob, where my metals pan handles remained cool, to a gas hob when we moved house. Now the pan handles get really hot and these handle gloves are so helpful to stop me burning myself. I learned from painful experience that the handles of my pots get hot really quickly on the gas hob so I now justslip one of these gloves on as soon as I put the pan down on the hob and I can't feel any heat through them at all. My pan handles are 5cm wide at the end and 2cm deep and these gloves fit perfectly. I think they would be thick enough to grip a narrower handle and there is room enough to cope with a slightly larger handle too.

I have used cast-iron cookware in my kitchen for the past fifty years and my off-spring keep dropping hints that they are prepared to fight over it when, to use their expression, I finally drop off my Perch! So, to avoid the risk getting 'pushed of my perch' before nature takes its course, I have purchased each of my grown-up children their own skillets and etc. Now I can go on enjoying using my own equipment with a clear conscience and they can experience the pleasure of using high-quality cook-ware. And a Cook-book to help them achieve the best results. This particular accessory is an essential for safety and comfort, but time alone will tell how long it will last before someone manages to set it alight....All round, great satisfaction. Thank you

If you have any of the Le Creuset cast iron pans or skillets with the iron handle, then this is an essential item - using one of the skillets on a gas hob means you cannot move it without (a) suffering burns to your hand or (b) wrapping a tea-towel around the handle several times.I tried using oven gloves but they don't work - the combined weight and conductivity of the metal handle means they are only good for a few seconds. The handle glove is very efficient, it means you can hold the pan for several minutes without it becoming uncomfortable - a essential accessory!

Unfortunately the company supplying my Cast skillet has let me down (can't wait to review them) and it's now due 30th July! So I'm going to review this without trying it. Now, I already own Le creuset oven gloves and they are the same materials so I'll assume heat resistance will be similar. What I really want to say is how fantastic this looks (I bought the red one). It's hanging in an obvious place just so I can show it off. Really well made, looks fantastic. Worth owning just to have hanging up in the kitchen, even if you don't have a cast skillet (like me).

Ideal solution to hot handles on pans. Everyone uses tea towels, but they can slip, although they do have the advantage that you can also cover your hand if there is spitting fat. This you just slip on when you come to lift your pan, and it is snug and safe so you have a hand free.Love the range of colours and hard to choose. My final choice was decided by which would stand out when I needed to grab it quickly, and it is a lovely scarlet.Great price too for a name like Le Creuset. And of course, the legendary quality to go with the name.

These pan handle gloves are great. Don't leave them on the pan whilst on the hob though - my stupid mistake - as they can catch on gas flames. They smoulder rather than bursting into flames though - so must have a flame retardant on them. I've had my pans for over 20 years and got though 2 pan holders - actually both still in action but one with a bit of a repair to hide the charred edges. - Bought this one for my sister, whose pan glove went the same way as mine! Would recommend.

I bought this as I was so tired of continually burning my fingers on saucepan handles, I would often use tea towels but the heat would go through and sometimes oven gloves but found these too cumbersome. When I saw this I thought I would give it a go because it was cheap enough and I am not disappointed. It fits over the saucepan handles like a dream and I am able to move them a round without getting my fingers burnt. Thank you 'le creuset' for such a simple but ingenious idea!

After purchasing a set of pots and pans I was in immediate need of something to protect my hand. The handle heated up so much I dropped boiling water and suffered some burns on my legs and fingers. Then I discovered this little gem. It does exactly what it is meant to. It protects you from any burning heat on the handle and you have a much better grip. This size is good enough that it fits on every pot and pan that I have. And it matches my kitchen!

I purchased this for use with a (different brand) of cast iron skillet. It works of course but after just half a dozen uses it started to look a bit untidy due to singing near the flame end (gas hob). I was expecting something a little more durable and flame resistant. Having said that now I am aware not to leave it on the handle and to put it somewhere close by it is still soldiering on after a year.

A lovely well made item of kitchen equipment from Le Creuset. Worth every penny as it stops you burning your hands when using cast iron frypans or griddles. Much more secure than a cloth which I find has a tendency to slip on the handle This doesn't and is all the better for it. Thank you le creuset for this useful addition and thanks to Amazon for its prompt delivery BFG

Good price.Keeps cool even with red hot skillet.Doesn't impede grip of skillet.Although it just sits on the skillet in the cupboard most of the time, it's nice that it looks nice when it's out and in use.Nice bright red colour makes it easy to remember not to throw it in the oven, and also to remember to put it back on upon removal of items from the oven!

I have several cast iron skillets and bought this glove to handle them easily. It works well, although for the smaller skillet (16,5 cms) it is too large and you have to maje sure the upper extreme of the glove, which is a little big longer than the glove itself, doesn't get into the skillet. I don't have that porblem with the larger skillets.

Works perfectly for my cast iron, short-handled Lodge skillet. Just have to remember not to leave it on there while the gas is on, or at least to respond quickly to the smell of singed fabric. Nice and bright in the kitchen drawer to spot easily amongst all the black things.

I love this little glove made to fit Le Creuset handles. It is well made with good materials and well stitched. At times I have unwittingly grabbed the hot handle ofmy pan, and using this product means I will not makethat mistake again.I highly recommend it along with

Definitely worth getting if you have a cast-iron pan. I used to use a towel before and burned my hand really badly when the towel slipped. This thing stays on the handle pretty well, insulates against the heat and you've no real chance of it slipping while you hold it.
