I got bought this as a gift after much anticipation and excitement as I loved the old PL games, however, in all honesty I was disappointed. In this game you play a series of small cases, and I much preferred the format of the old Layton games, these cases just feel forced to finish them in a certain amount of time and to have a “twist” at the end that is not surprising/far-fetched. It feels like I’m hardly playing any puzzles as well and when I do I have to second guess my answers because surely it can’t be that easy to solve?? They are. Although given all this, the animation is the same and plays very nicely on the switch (although I would like more cut scenes like the original Layton games)

I've been waiting for a professor Layton game to come to the switch and this was worth the wait! I've played a few before but managed to miss this on the 3DS. It plays as your standard Layton game so if you've played one before you'll know what you're getting.There are tonnes of puzzles. Enough to keep you going for days. This is actually the first game I've managed to get my partner to play on the switch and she loves it.My only gripe is that the story shifts along at a snails pace sometimes and it feels like a lifetime between two puzzles.Overall, if you're looking for a charming, fun puzzle game, look no further.

I brought this game back on the 3ds when it first came out however I only made it to Case 3 and stop playing it so I decided to go back to it while I had a bit on time on my hands and buy the game again on the Switch which works really well on the system. The game consists of 10 cases and like the Professor Layton games it contains lots of puzzles as you go along in the game. However I do miss the charm of Professor Layton and Luke. I love the stories and the movie clips within the game however the amount of talking in the game between characters lets the game down.

This is a great game following on from the DS Professor Layton series, it features Katrielle, Professor Layton's daughter and has individual cases, I am currently on case 4. Great cut scenes between , lots of puzzles and extra puzzles you can download and minigames. If you liked the DS games and/or puzzles than I highly recommend this game.

I loved this game when it was on the nintendo ds i i fell in love with the characters and games play. I absolutely adore puzzle games so this was right up my street. It was delivered quickly, packaging was In perfect condition and the game play is smooth and fun. I'm enjoying playing it once again just now on my switch.

This is a port from an iOS and Android game. Whilst fun it's not like playing Professor Layton. The story takes a while to truly start and is set in cases instead of a single storyline based in chapters. The puzzles are still fun and the 365 extra puzzles are a bonus. The costume changing feature is rather pointless

Great game with plenty of puzzles to work through. I like the daily puzzles and extra mini games too, which add extra challenges. There are quite a few long talking scenes but you can skip / click through them if you don’t want to watch. I liked the Layton games for the DS & this is just as good.

I played the Professor Layton games on my ds when I was younger, I still have the Pandora’s Box one! It’s a great follow on from these games and so many parts remind me of playing it when I was younger. Definitely recommend if you like puzzle/story driven games!

Love professor layton. Need glasses to read the puzzles on the switch light though which is annoying. Game would be perfect except the puzzles are getting easier - would be awesome if it had an "adult" or "difficulty" setting. Still one of my favourite games...

I had the professor layton games for the DS and loved them so had to get thisIts a fun puzzle game and great for the switch, some of the questions some children might need some help completing but for adults it is a good challenge, not too easy or hard

Really enjoying this, according to my wife. So pleased that Layton has made it to switch. Lots of puzzles and, added extra of daily puzzles that are, automatically added. A must for Layton fans. Arrived close to date it was due. P. A. W.

Had a very similar game for the Nintendo ds and I think it is great. I really wish you didn’t have to buy new games for these consoles and you could use ds games in the Switch but that’s progress in technology I suppose!

Love the Professor Layton games I bought all of them on 3ds, so naturally got it on the switch however although I love the games this switch version is basically the same but with a few additional puzzles

The product is fun but a big downturn from the original Professor Layton series. The puzzles are easy and the gaming experience is not as stimulating with a pretty weak storyline.

Enjoyable games for a cheap price compared to other shops. Long game that lasts a while with a good story and challenging puzzles and logic tasks.Good value for money
