Thank goodness for this umbrella. I hate being in the direct sun and avoid it as much as I can, also for the reason that I have vitiligo so need to cover up more than normal.What I love is that I totally feel shaded on my head, shoulders, and arms. I don't feel the sun at all. Brilliant!If I could change anything it would be to have a better and longer handle, just for extra comfort.I see some reviews on this type of product talking about how it's flimsy in the wind etc. But this is a UV umbrella, for being out in the sun. It's not a normal Autumn/Winter rain umbrella, so it's not likely made to withstand wind!For its purpose, except for my preference of wanting a bigger handle, I can't fault it.

Lovely umbrella, fit for purpose and brilliant in shading ones self from the midday sun. The only issue (which is trivial in the grand scheme of things) is that a little of the black internal lining has come away in an area. This could have been either scratched by the umbrella’s folding mechanism, or just me being heavy handed. Regardless of the above info, I would and have recommended this umbrella to those seeking UV protection. I’ve had a fair few positive comments on this umbrella too!!

Very nice and did its job well - kept all the sun off me in a very hot Regent Street during Pride. Was a bit tricky to unfold at first, but I soon got the hang of it. The black underside was an interesting backdrop for photos, being very dark and matt on a hot sunny day. Seems pretty well made and fairly durable - I bought it for one day's use but I used it at a picnic too, and I think it will be useful for the next heatwave!

The black lining is a bit oppressive. On the other hand another sun shade I bought had a silver lining which created a bit of a glare. But it does what it says it will do. It folds up a bit differently from other umbrellas I’ve had, but it just takes a bit of practice. Even my 5yr old grandson manages. I can recommend it as it also reduces the temperature on your head. The scalloped edge lifts it out of the ordinary category.

Essential during the prolonged heatwave we're experiencing at the moment. It offers exceptional relief from the unrelenting heat and rays of the sun. Much cooler than wearing a sun hat.Quality item. Best purchase I've made this year. Effective protection against the harmful effects of the sun. Keeps you cool and safe.

I used this in Pompeii and Herculaneum during the scorching weather in July. It helped to keep the worst of the sun off, and also kept other people at arm’s length, which was an unexpected bonus. You have to handle with care when opening it, it’s not very robust, but it does the job.

Nice to look at and easy to carry when not using it. Blocks the sun great. Handy for our changeable weather as it is a great umbrella too, when wet flowers appear on it. Just hope it lasts longer than the more expensive ones I've had which broke in a few months.

Nice looking umbrella. Lightweight, compact due to folding. But as the main “stick” is not one piece, but telescopic, it slides down all the time on the bottom piece. If you hold it with a finger not allowing it to slide down, it’s fine.

Very good sun protection umbrella, nicely made and attractive to look at. Like the scalloped edges too. The only complaint is that it is tricky to put away, the bottom half of the canopy has to be folded back over on itself.

Bought this for holiday in Malta, it was great kept me shaded and cool as temperature was very hot. On returning back to UK have now used in rain and the flower pattern is very pretty. Was delivered within the time advised.

This is a lovely sized umbrella and it is sweet how the little flowers appear when it rains! It is one of the best umbrellas/uv parasols in terms of folding down and fitting into its case. Very pleased with is.

It saved my life at the races, could never have sat in the heat of the sun without it. Felt cooler underneath. small enough to fit in a medium size handbag, good in the rain too.

Gives good shade from hot sun and reduces heat on you. Not tried in the rain yet but no reason to think it would not be a useful umbrella too. Value for money

Bought this for my partner and whether it's for shelter from the rain or from the sun its all round brilliant umbrella highly recommend buying.
