I have used Knipex tools for well over a decade and in my experience they can be relied on to supply very dependable high quality tools. They are still made in Germany, so don't come cheap. The Twin-Force cutters are a particularly effective cutter design where a single pivot is replaced with twin-pivots, so the effective pivot point is nearer to the blade, like some bolt cutters. This increases leverage considerably. The clever bit is this design retains a compact cutting head, so you get the best of both worlds; good access with very high leverage. These cutters do indeed reduce effort significantly compared to my 200mm Knipex high leverage cutters but are a little behind the buikier cobalts.

I make bracelets and chainmail items with stainless steel 1.25mm wire. My first pair of cutters just wouldn't do the job so I bought some miniature bolt cutters which did the job for about a month then gave up the ghost.So I emailed Knipex asking them for advice and was recommended their 7002160 cutters and what a job they do. Easy to cut 4mm diameter links off coiled wire using the very tips of the cutters leaving a nice clean cut, no fiddly filing to smarten up link ends. These cutters are 'comfy' for my arthritic hands too and have improved the quality of my bracelets.Five star!

I use it for cutting mostly copper wires, sometimes though, I need to cut nails, screws and other "piano" strings. It's ancestor's face, after some years of fair and hard use, looks more like a saw then cutter. I expect from this one the same+ behaviour.I would recommend it for any professional technicians how do not like to play with tools, but work with them.One of the best.

These cutters are the bees knees - do not let your mates use them - i caught my mate trying to cut through some wire fence with them the other day and he nearly lost his life - but i left him off !! These are my second pair of knipex in 8 years - they last that long but you must not use on hard metal - only copper wires !!

Knipex are one of the best manufacturers of pliers/cutters in the world, and this pair certainly doesn't disappoint, the quality is outstanding, the handles are comfortable and the cut through electrical wire is perfect.

After cutting through a live 240 Volt cable with a pair of these (like you do) I bought another pair to replace the ones I had inadvertently blown two grooves in. No electric shock though, so they do definitely work!

Okay so these Side Cutters aren't that cheap, but they do look and feel like a high quality product and with the ability to cut more than just electrical wire they will prove to be a great addition to my tool box.

I work on my own bicycles quite a lot and found myself struggling with the cutting blades on pliers. These are incredible. Slice through bike gear and brake cables so cleanly – with no fraying. Excellent.

Arrived quickly. Nice and sharp. Really good pair of side cutters. If you are prone to cutting live wires pay a bit extra and get the 1000v grip version. I do like the Knipex brand. Great tools.

Can’t go wrong with Knipex for Snips and Pliers (Cobras are outstanding), they are the best on the market. These are no exception. Whilst Knipex can be expensive, they are worth it.

Very good so far! Used for making pro audio cables and industrial power cables for use at live events/theatre. Very handy and should buy! The price is worth the quality.

It's nice to have a decent set of cutters and this set is great. Months of use and no signs of wear, despite having done some quite hefty cables.

Knipex = quality. Really nicely made with a novel joint giving more leverage near the jaws of the tool requiring less effort. Cracking gear.

These are great quality and chopped 10mm twin and earth cable without any problems. I would have expected them to be a bit sharper though.
