Very happy with these; comfortable to hold and pretty compact in my rather large hands. I chose these over the centre button pliers as I considered those to have a potential problem in waiting with the spring operated button whilst these have the simple and fool proof trusted mechanism. I have used in place of conventional pliers and they have handled so far very well. They are certainly tough - I take the view that if a tool breaks then so be it - it is not up to the job and is best junked. These have handled everything with aplumb and have done duty whereby I should have used a larger pair of pliers - so they have found their way into my grab bag, replacing three pairs of my previous pliers.

These are fantastic general purpose pliers. The adjuster isn't lockable like some other models but every time I have used them at a different width they stay put - only occasionally the locking mechanism slips out if you loosen your grip.Build quality is fantastic, they are so strong. The teeth on these are also incredible - they will grip anything. I've had screws and bolts that just won't budge with a screw driver or even an electric drill, but these just grip them and you can get so much leverage on them they'll undo anything.If you do any mechanical or DIY work, make sure a set of these is in your tool box

As a plumber I would not be without my Alligator grips, they have narrow jaws so they can grip nuts like on shower valves where there is limited clearance.The jaws are serrated but not too "fierce" - I have not had problems with the grips damaging delicate surfaces such as tap shrouds.Alligator grips are easy to adjust and offer a good range of openings.One of my must-have tools!Read full review...

For every day DIY and you don't want your knuckles to be in BITS using cheap versions of these. These do the job. You need something gripped? No problem. Easy to adjust (Button is only really for people that are gonna use this all day long) Also remember its hard to use the button if you can only use your left hand, so these are ideal for those tight spaces

Top quality....sharp gripping teeth, handles close together slightly more than rival products.....Just generally a better feel in use.A very slight flex in handles when applying maximum pressure which I feel gives you a feel for how tight a grip you have on workpiece.....I never buy any other brand or model.Read full review...

Best grips I’v ever used, had the last pair over 12 years and only bought these as I lost the last pair. They stay ‘sharp’, lock on, never fail to shift anything they’re gripped to, top build quality and great comfort grip. And a bargain in my opinion. I use them on rusty nuts, pipes, steel shafts, tank bung bolts, never fail.

These waterpump grips have to be one of the best. Do not get sucked in my sales hype on other products. This is the standard size required for general purpose & they are the best. The narrow profile means you can get into really tight spaces, the grip for tightening is second to none. Highly recommended.

Best grips, beaks, water pump pliers you can buy. No faff with button releases and two handed operation of channelock pliers. Can be adjusted with one hand, strong, doesnt tear fittings if securely gripped. Only ever bought to replace sets that have been 'borrowed' never had a pair let me down.

I had a pillar tap I could not dismantle but these alligator water pump grips did the job what I liked mainly was that to lock the grip you only squeeze using one handle and teeth are really sharp no slip when applying the pressure. Excellent product.Read full review...

I'm using few tools from same brand so I now there are very good ones. I was right buying this one, is perfect size for what I'm working, and extra wide opening jaws is priceless. I recommend this tool to every men who like to fix things around the house.

Lovely quality tool as you would expect from Knipex. Good balance and feel when gripping nuts, bolts or objects.I would consider buying the 300mm version as well to cover every eventuallity. I would certainly recommend them. dont buy cheap tools, ever.

I've used Bacho, Rothenberger, Stanley and Irwin over the years, but these are my favourite brand. I purchased two pairs and have thrown out my Rothenberger and Stanley (after 8 years of use). I can see these lasting me until I retire from plumbing.

Been using knipex grips for years now, they hold far better than anything else around and never slip. These are a new design with more holes allowing the jaws to open wider that the originals, great price too, can't go wrong with these!

You can always tell when you hold a high quality item. Something you know won't let you down when it's needed. This is one of them things! As with all of the Knipex lineup, it does its job well and will stand the test of time.

Delivery was fast. It is a good gift for friends who are mechanics, plumbers, or whatever. And unlike many other products on the market these days, this one is made in Germany, which guarantees quality much better.
