Really Gutted I haven’t bought a pair of these years ago!!Every time I seemed to do a job at home there is a need to undo something bigger than a traditional spanner set or socket set will accommodate.In this situation I opt for adjustables or mole grips, it’s never ideal especially where there is tight access but eventually it gets the job done.Been looking at these pump wrench’s for a while and wasn’t sure what were the good brands or sizes to go for, so did the normal research and Knipex seems to be the best of the best.I now have the 250 size @ £18.95 which I think is a great price and can say after completing a bathroom refit with these in my tool bag they are the way to go for home diy.After the bathroom refit this so far,

Bought these recently in the lightning deal for £19.62, been wanting either these Knipex or the few quid cheaper conventional Alligator version. At these came up on offer I went for them.One thing worth noting is the quick release spung loaded button is on the side for easy thumb use when held in your right hand. Being left-handed it's more awkward using your index finger pressing the button which is now on the underneath to adjust. Hard to explain but I wish I bought the ad good but cheaper Alligator type not these Cobra ones. Also another reason for 4 stars is the range of open-close movement with this Cobras quick button teeth ratchet design is rather limited so more finicky to get it set right,

Knipex Cobra 86 05 250 self-locking pipe pliers are very well made, u can feel it strait from first grab.Even the voice of the metal structure gives you an idea what kind a good piece of tool it is.I test it straight away stand on the grip and with my 85 kg the grip is just stunning.Well amazed with itt and definitely recommend itt. This 250mm version is exactly practical not too big or small.

Bought because they were on offer but what a cracking tool! Knipex are well known in the tool business, all our side cutters are Knipex but we needed a large spanner/grip to tighten some heavy duty plugs, as i said this came on offer from Amazon and it is cracking. It opens very wide 2" and is easy to adjust but holds tight. Knipex does it again!

Not as good as the older ones, which preceded this model. You don’t need as many digits in the adjustment, and the jaws don’t open up as wide either.Good quality cast, insulation is overly thick, and this is reflected in the price.

Well it's a250mm water pump pliers. Essential great for plumbers electricians and engineers it's simply the best I have ever owned. There are many cheaper but none better. No need to tell you it's quality cause its Knippex

In my opinion the best grips you can buy, I have multiple sizes of these and have been using them for years.The other ones to consider is their flat jaw versions for materials you don't want to scratch to pieces.

Honestly these are the best pliers I’ve ever used, I use them everyday as a gas and central heating engineer. They grip amazing well and are comfortable to use with the hand grips.

If you make off amoured/SWA cable, this is a must have item as they are as good as the 'Footprint' tool but a lot more versatile and easier to keep in a small tool bag.

You can spend a lot less. But these are well worth paying extra for as knipex usually is. Glanding swa's off daily these will be with me for years.

I have 2 pairs of these in different sizes, there really is no other brand to consider. incredibly well built and materials are second to none.

C'mon it's knipex it's German it's quality what else do you expect. If your thinking about buying it. Just do it. You will not be disappointed.

Very good, will not be disappointed, borrowed Work mates, good feel to them,good quality, so I just had to buy my own, use them every day,

Really nice quality tool that does it's job very well. Easy to adjust and doesn't slip out of the setting you set it to. Recommended.

Life saver. I had a leak at the back of my dishwasher and ordered this. No leak since. Quite useful tool to have around the house
