If you didn't know, Knipex is a great name in tools, its one of the only brands I use. I needed some new side cutters at work and saw with prime I'd get them next day, great! So they came as expected and they were great, if you need some sidecutters I would say you can't go wrong with these, they are a good size and do a good job.Now these are insulated and I can review that these will save your life. A coworker of course saw my nice clean new sidecutters picked up a cable from my desk, that cable just happened to be the heatgun that was plugged in and boom, the electrics tripped the workshop went dark. So I bought another pair. If you can see on the picture the cutters on the right have a small hole,

If you are a professional,, or a very very serious DIY'er you know that money invested in quality tools ALWAYS pays in the long run. Remember this ? Buy cheap, buy double.In all my 75 years Knipex has only been beaten once for quality. That was by Swedish manufacturer Lindstróm but their side cutters were three times the price ! I used those to hack thru hardened masonry nails. (talk about abuse !!!)Yes... CK is good too, but for my money, KNIPEX beats them, The hinge construction of the knipex is i.m.o. superb.In a nutshell.... BUY 'em. Ohhhh... don't forget to make a will... you will be leaving 'em to your children !Albert

Good set of snips.. I ordered the 160mm size..170mm from bottom of handle to the tip which isn't the end of the world but I would have preferred the extra 10mm on the cutting blades instead of the handle... cutting blades are 22mm which is fine for snipping copper but you might struggle to cut anything bigger than, sheathed 3 core n earth 1mm off the reel in one snip... but 2 snips only takes 1 sec so not a major issue....

Awesome clippers. I brought these as I was finally tired of replacing cheap ones. I can say that they do not disappoint; they can effortlessly cut through Chicken wire (including the thicker plastic coated stuff) and any other house hold wire or netting that you are likely wanting to cut. Time will tell for their longevity but based on built quality, I am thinking that they will serve me for years to come.

I generally speaking only buy high quality tools which is why I purchased these, Knipex are the Rolls Royce of hand tools like this, would certainly recommend them, never had any issues, and hopefully never will. Stay away from cheap brands, if you care about the job you do, buy these! These cutters are still sharp, just like the day I got them, would highly recommend them!

I've had cutters that are 140mm to 180mm and have found the 160mm the best and i have quite large hands but i think the 160:s cover general folk. Even thou company's bring out fancy new cutters etc these are track proven an the one's people still grab from there tool box (use them rite they will last don't cut above there means)

Very pleased with these wire cutters I am an electrician to trade and I was not disappointed when I started using these. Good quality able to cut though all types of cable easily had these for a few years now and they are still going strong. Would recommend for anyone looking for a good tough pair of wire cutters.

Wire cutters are very useful, even if you're a novice at DIY. Being an omper lomper I damaged a brilliant set of scissors trying to cut curtain wire. Don't. Just get a set of wirecutters. Curtain wire is very very easy to cut with these... even for those with little strength.

Knipex are just the best, i have tried other makes but they tend to lose their cutting edge quickly or the jaws mis-align over time.I use cutters every day installing CCTV, Intruder Alarms and Access Control and so for me the price of these cutters represents excellent value

Amazing blades, nice and sharp, with no gap from new. No free play in the the pivot either. Comfortable handles, just amazing all round. Never really thought there’d be such a difference in quality with cutters, but now I do. Won’t be abusing these, they are too nice to.

It is expensive yet it is a very good tool which does the job fantastically. Beautiful pair of cutting pliers, shark cutting edge can easily cut off ordinary electric cables. insulated and VDE tested as described. You wont regret getting one of these if you need one.

Just the name says it all, been using Knipex as an Electrician for the past 10 years and they never fail, good Quality tools, within budget made to last. I've used Draper, NWS, CK etc... all regarded as Toys in the trade.Knipex is a brand you can trust, believe me!

I do a lot of wiring jobs and these are a great benefit to me for the job and cut nice and clean. Well insulated also just in case you touch that wrong wire by mistake. Well made product and worth that little bit extra cost for quality and peace of mind.

bought for the brother in-law who's starting to do odd bits around the house, he tested the protection factor of these when he cut through the live lighting ring! sadly that incident damaged the cutting face but at least no one was hurt

I use these in a professional role daily and I have to say they are the best I have used so far.I have gone through many milwaukee and CK cutters as they blunt far too quickly. These however have so far exceeded the others.
