Excellent quality tool. Bought to replace a cutter that I've owned for years that had passed it's best, blunt!Never heard the term "atramentized" before and had to look it up without much success. I can only assume it means painted black. Why not just describe as that?Anyway, in spite of that special word, these are very good side cutters. Comfortable grip with insulated handles - you never know when that might be life saver!Only used a couple of times at present. No problems with 2.5mm squared cable or cable ties.A reputable make, you can't go wrong.

I have ised this model of side cutters for more years than I care to remember in my work as a security systems engineer. They're just the right size for the types of cable I encounter but they're strong and powerful enough to cop with the occasiona big mains twin and earth etc. I would definitely recommend this model and all Knipex branded equipment.

Repeat purchase. Have been buying Knippex side cutters for years. Only reason I have to keep buying them is because the people I work with seem to like them more than me and they get pinched!I have a set of small ones that I’ve had for around 15 years, still pretty sharp.

My first set I of Knipex sidecutters was left behind by a satellite dish installer, so I knew they were going to be pro grade. They are indeed and they blow away any of the diy brands. They are good value new, but their secondhand price makes it a no-brainer to buy.

Typical knipex. Perfect in every way. The red and blue handle range is much more comfortable than. The 1000v IDE yellow and red. Only difference is they can't advertise as insulated etc without the finger guards etc.

I am in the process of changing all of my pliers and cutters over to Knipex. Top notch tools, genuinely German made and highly recommended by me.

Knipex speak for themselves. Best you can get. Don't be put off by the price, and when you get them don't lend them to anybody!

Tried cheaper versions these are not only really sharp buy lightweight and bright coloured easy to spot in the toolbag
