These are very poor quality pliers from Knipex first time i used them the teeth rounded and made these useless the leadscrew binds up i took a look to see what is the problem they have tack welded were the threads are and this has caused the the threads inside the grips to be rough this then has caused damage the the screw i made this smoother by running a tap down the threads and greasing the screw something you dont expect to do on a tool of this quality i also had to ask for a replacement because the the jaws just did not line up correctly.I ended up sending these back and buying the Irwin's 10CR pliers and honestly there is no comparison the Irwin's win every time first pair i received

Extremely disappointed-after receiving several high quality items from Knipex, I expected the same from these. I genuinely wanted to like this item but could not find any redeeming features.The thread on the adjusting screw keeps sticking as so poorly threaded-the bar it faces has been poorly ground at an angle which pushes it off to one side like a cam, which makes everything twist.I really wanted to like this item-so I Iooked at the jaws and couldn't believe the angle between them-so when they touch at one side there is a 5 mm gap at the other side.To add insult to injury the release lever constantly sticks.Utter rubbish-better at Aldi-they have either outsourced or given up.G.
