We all know that technically speaking you should not work on LIVE equipment. But there are (ultra) rare occasions that you will have no choice. For inside a consumer unit these pliers are invaluable. Assuming that the bit you need to work on is LIVE, or very close to another live part... YOUR OWN LIFE might and will depend on the quality of the insulation. These VDE rated pliers (1000V) are amongst the best you can get ! The hinge is SOLID and the beak point closes perfectly. I had to fix a situation were an OXYGEN concentrator HAD TO KEEP RUNNING AND COULD NOT BE SWITCHED OFF. Knowing that these pliers were sufficiently insulated to work on what needed to be fixed bought me great peace of mind.

Nice robust tool with quality you'd expect from Knipex. They seem to get the rotation just right, not too stiff , not too loose. Just right for larger hands.

Can't get better quality than these.Comfortable, sturdy and very useful.Makes handling wires in back boxes and consumer units safe and precise.

Great build quality and fit nicely in the hand. Occasionally Amazon’s packaging arrives and the pliers inside are covered in dirt.
