obviously this isn't a Canon bonafide part... hence its 25% of the price canon charge for the same thing... no fuss or messing, when you place it on your camera (mines is a canon SX60) you initially feel its loose, Don't Be Put off a gentle turn when the the very small lugs are located very securely fixes the adaptor to the lens, no rattle or looseness. well worth the money and my polarising filter fits perfect. What you do need to know is, when you actually fit a UV or polarising filter to the adaptor ring you cant affix the lense cap which came with your camera, with the filter removed you can affix the the lens cover.I mentioned that as you will need to remove the filter to attach your lenses cover unless you are happy to have the filter as your lens cover. It fits the SX 60 perfectly. Hope this helps

This is a simple little metal ring that fits onto the lens using the bayonet fixing (not the inner screw thread of the lens itself) that I believe was designed to accommodate a lens hood. The machining of the thread for the 58 mm filter was excellent and allowed me to immediately add a circular polarising filter to allow my upcoming holiday pictures have bluer skies and whiter clouds! I have read of vignetting being associated with 58 mm filters at the widest (24 mm angle of view) a quick test didn't show this but I'll be looking out for it on my holiday pictures. How can I not award 5 stars?

The canon powershot SX50 HS bridge camera has a terrific zoom but with all my cameras i wanted a lens protector for it and the only ones available for the canon did not fit but the kiwifotos 58mm filter screws into the camera letting you put a lens protector of your choice on the end, it is very slightly loose fitting but it will not come off and it does the job, don't go wasting your money on the larger kiwifotos filter otherwise you will end up paying out more for a lens protector, so the 58mm does the job and works 100% i also used the Hoya pro UV protector. Highly recommended....

I wanted to fit a UV filter to my Canon SX50, mainly to protect the lens, but didn't fancy paying Canon's £28 for it (why not just have a threaded lens mount as in the past anyway?).This one is less than half the price and is a perfect fit, push into the lens mount, twist firmly clockwise till it clicks home snugly, no undue pressure needed. Feels really solid when on the camera and will take any standard 58mm filter.Just make sure you get the SX50 adapter, because strangely, the SX40 one is I think not a proper fit.

To be informed that the delivery could be anything from 4 July to 24 July worried me but it arrived on the 4th which is the day before PowerPlanet said it would. excellentRushed up to get my canon sx50hs n opened my parcel got the adaptor out slotted at the front of my camera and slipped it into the grooves Excellent.Yes it is a little rattlely when camera is on but nothing too bad.Excellent thanks guys

At first I bought a cheaper one from India via another well known website and it was utter rubbish (sweating bricks whilst trying to fit it) so it went straight in the bin. I then saw this one advertised specifically made for the SX50 and it certainly fits like a glove. Perfectly made 58mm adapter which will now stay on the superb Canon camera and will get lots of use I'm sure, recommended.

A quick comment. The adaptor arrived today for my Canon SX50. I'm very pleased to say that it is very well made, clips onto the lens barrel easily and securely, and despite my earlier concerns - it does not rattle. Overall, I'm delighted that it does exactly what it says on the tin!Highly recommended for any owner of a Canon SX50 who wants to use a 58mm filter.

Bought for the SX50 HS. Fits to the camera using the click in and rotate, fitting; no danger of damage to the camera. My Hoya 58mm filters screw in perfectly.Unobtrusive, functional does exactly what you expect of it. Took about a week to deliver but this was still within the specified delivery dates, just don't expect to get it by return of post.

I wanted an adapter ring for a Canon SX70 HS and could I find one other than the massive 67mm one sold by Canon, could I heck? That one ruined the look of the camera. I’ve tried a few other options and they’ve all been returned unsuitable. About to give up hope I ordered this little peach and it’s perfect. I’m overjoyed. Thank-you. ?

Its only plastic but I'm very pleased with my KiwiFotos LA-58SX50 adapter ring.It fits my Canon SX60 HS perfectly well and so far doesn't rattle in the way that many reviewers have stated.I can still get the lens cap on with the ring fitted which is handy. Now I can use any of my 58mm filters.

Arrived in good time and fits Canon Powershot SX50HS well. Used with Hoya UV filter to provide lens protection and seems to fit snug but not used extensively yet

With this item and some step down rings I have been able to use my old S L R filters on my new Cannon Powershot. I was so glad to find it.

you need to be brave whilst fitting as you need a bit of effort to make it lock in place. When in place the fitting could be tighter.
