I bought 2 of these thermometers to replace the two I had. I bought two wine thermometers by Turning Leaf a few years back and over time ended up accidentally throwing them out with the wine bottles. I put the thermometer on the bottle, get the wine to the right temperature, open the wine to have with dinner, and after dinner, while cleaning up, I throw the bottle and thermometer out in the garbage. I'm thinking of hot gluing a chain to the thermometer. This is the biggest issue with this thermometer, it's so easy to throw it out with the bottle.This particular thermometer(1-7/16" tall) is smaller than the ones I use to have, therefore the numbers are small.

This wine gauge you place on your bottle of wine and it will tell you the temperature...for some reason Americans think red wine has to be room temperature, so many serve way too warm.it is..65 degrees for caberbet sauvignon, Shiraz, and Red Zinfandel, Merlot 55 to 60, Pinot Noir 50, Whie Zin50,Chardonnay 50 , Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Grigio 45...tasting wineat the right temperature tastes so much better...so I buy this gauge and give in wine baskets I fix for The Chamber of Commerce fund raisers, along with cheeses, crackers, wines...and to friends trying to get them educated in the right temperatures...ha. These little gadgets are great!!

I purchased this as a gift for a wine drinking friend. She was absolutely thrilled to receive it! It is hard to see in the photos, but this product tells you the optimal temperature for the wine you have. It is flexible and easy to use. You simply slip it on the bottle and the temperature is displayed automatically. I like that you are able to use it on different shaped bottles too! Great buy!

Very cool product- got it as a gift for someone.Works reasonably well for the $8 after shipping I paid for it. Obviously, if you're looking for an exact serving temperature this will not help you. Also, does not read cold temperatures (such as for beers)Great Gift purchase.

I purchased the Kikkerland Wine Bottle Thermometer to go into a secret Santa Wine gift basket. I have not used the item but the recipient loved the item and loved that the item tells which wine should be served at what temperature. The Wine basket was a big hit.

Reading is clear, guide is helpful, works within seconds. A little small for standard size wine bottle. It expands to fit around but then doesn't lay flat. But it stays on and it works, and it wasn't an arm and a leg. Giving one to my parents for Christmas.

A fantastic present for my father and uncle - both wine buffs and were very intrigued by this device. Personally I don't know anything about wine but the product was robust, looked like a good quality item and was excellent value for money.

Bought as a recommendation from The Week as a stocking filler for my husband. He was sceptical at first but is now starting to use it. He won't admit it but red wine does not need to be quite as warm as our modern indoor temperatures.

my dad loved this as a gift!! it really is quite cool - not only does it work as expected, but the fact that on the equipment itself it tells you what temp each type of wine should be is really great. awesome gift for any wine lover!

The first one I bought is over 10 years old and it still works. It is quick and simple to use. You can leave it on the bottle to noteany variation in temperature, just don't forget to remove it before you throw out the bottle.

wife threw it away by accident so bought a different one in an upscale liquor store but the one time that I used it, nice. Please inform your mate of the actual use and that it is not a throw away item.

This was a fun Christmas present for my husband. It seems to work well and the reading easy to see. However once used a couple of times the novelty has worn off and is now not used regularly.

Got this as a gift for my brother in law. It arrived on time and just as described. He said it works well and is easy to use! Very cool. Inexpensive wine lover gift. I'd buy this again.

Got this item delivered last week from whatstuffyouwant great item as compared to the others on here this item has quality on its side compared to the other wine thermometers on here.

bouth them as gifts for my friends/family, works well and reads fairly well the temperature of the bottle, the display is not as visible as the picture, but it works.
