At last! After decades of wielding sharp knives at great danger to self and others in a clumsy attempt to remove the foil from the top of wine bottles, or twisting the foil off and then getting it stuck halfway, I can now give the bottle a twirl while I hold this bad boy and hey presto! the foil top is neatly cut off and removed. The foil cutter is reassuringly heavy, seems built to last and is actually rather aesthetically pleasing. I now no longer automatically gravitate towards screwtops. Foils, I laugh in your face. You hold no terrors for me anymore!

Amazingly heavy, robust and efficient foil cutter. Does the job, just don't drop it on you foot - it will hurt! Only minor quibble is that I have found two bottles where the top was nearly too wide for a comfortable fit without a bit of force.

One surprising thing was how solid and pleasantly heavy it feels! Rather than feeling cheap or anything you can tell just by holding it that it is durable and will do its job. Very please, quick clean cut with minimal effort.

After all these years a foil cutter that is actually good at doing what it's supposed to do. Been through loads of the normal squeeze ones, usually the blades simply fall out or the plastic breaks.

I bought this for a commercial bar and will be getting a few more (and one for home) Rock solid bit of kit that is easy and efficient and feels as though it will last forever

Perfect gift - Bought for a friend who admired our cutter, we've have had ours for approx. 10 years, solid make and lasts for years. - arrived within 48 hours of order.

I'm very happy with it. It doesn't take a lot of space but it's really heavy so it seems it will be resistant. So far it's working really well and it looks very fancy.

Good solid product, dearer than most foil cutters but it works very well and is heavy and robust. Simple to use and it looks as good as it is. Well worth the cost.

As an over 50 wine drinker I have owned quite a few foil cutters. This one has lasted longer than the rest and looks to still be ok for another 100 plus bottles

Bigger and heavier than I expected so feels like quality and hopefully that means it should last. Does the job well, one revolution and the foil is cut.

A little on the heavy side. However, an efficient foil cutter which cuts cleanly and leaves no residue or small metal pieces.

WMF products are quite expensive but then, they’re excellently made & stylish too. The wine foil cutter is no exception.

Very effective and easy to use. It seems quite sturdy but time will tell - we’ve only used it a couple of times so far.
