I was skeptical to pay so much for a rubber object, but since it arrived I have ditched the filter that I was using in front of the lens and I have been using the hood ever since. Worried about dust, forget it, since the front is rubber, its static electricity will make all the dust stick to it, at first I thought - bleh rubber, I want a metal one like the vintage leicas, but the dust and shock absorbing provided by this rubber front are perfect.Well how about looks? After all this is the closer to a square hood for the 46mm lenses and it sure looks nice.Worth it, still a bit pricey I think but I got to say it's the only nicer alternative in the market.

Makes the small camcorder look loads more impresive, works well and doesn`t cause any picture issues.Would recommend to others
