I'd been looking for a knife block for my set of global knives and saw this. I can't fault one single thing about it. It has a firm grip on both sides even when there are two larger knives back to back. The finish and craftsmanship exudes quality and is great looking as well. This is the first time I've felt the need to review an item as I've been that impressed with a product. There is a cheaper version on the market that has a thin metal base but the granite version is worth spending the extra.

This is pricey for a knife block, but it is awesome!
