This is the best of the Shun line. The main fault of these knives is the profile (too much belly), and this little sheep-foot shape doesn't, of course, suffer from that. It's a doddle to sharpen, even for VG10 steel, because it's almost perfectly straight. It's a great little sharpening training knife for children or those new to waterstones. It's safer, as the tip is not as sharp as the other Shun parer.

Extremely high quality as already mentioned. Cutting through vegetables with this knife is life cutting paper.
