As a previous Professional Chef, I have used many chopping board's. I have been in the catering trade since 1988 so I know a good board when I use it! I have been used to using Professional Catering board's in hotels and other catering establishment's. The trouble with the Professional Catering board's it is extremely hard to get them into a dishwasher unless you have a commercial dishwasher. I first saw these Joseph Joseph chopping board's in a department store where I live. I thought they looked very stylish and design was really appealing with the storage case being of a shiny stainless steel.I was at a Wedding Fayre and I saw these board's at the retail price of£70.00 I must admit that these boards because they are good and durable they are verymuch worth the retail price and the Quality of these board's are second to none!As I have already said at the beginning of my review. I have previously worked for various hotels and other catering establishment's. I really like the Way these boards are a great sizeEspecially making sandwiches etc on the white board which has special grooves moulded in the plastic in the board to catch crumbs etc. I also think that it would also be good for cutting cooked meat etc.Back to basics it is very important especially to avoid cross contamination when using board's etc. People would say that you cannot get cross contamination from using the same board. I have got news for those people it is essential in the catering industry to have coloured board's for different food prep, Red board for all raw meat, Blue board for all raw fish, White board for all cooked food which can range from chicken, bread, cakes etc... The Green board is mostly used alway's for preparing vegetables which is potatoes, carrots lettuce and other fruit and vegetables. When choosing a board for the kitchen whether it is for your own kitchen at home or a catering establishment. The rule of thumb is : that a board which has a handle which is moulded into it, it is verymuch a no, no!! In the kitchen as this type of board can harbour bacteria. Even though washed or not? I thought I would leave measurement's of the board's as most measurement's are in centremetres which can throw you off!Measurements of boards :14 inches in length x 10 inches in depth.Storage container :Inside the box :15 inches in length.Width of widest part at the bottom16 inches in length.Remember these board's are also non slip. Remember the purpose of a chopping board is so that you will not get work areas cut or scratched. Chopping board's are knife friendly too so the better your board? The cleaner your cut! I have read a review on here about a lady saying about you must have a stylish designed kitchen in order to have these board's? These board's will look at home in any kitchen whether new or old! In fact I think these board's are very practical and theoretical very much needed in today's kitchen to prevent cross contamination! I hope my review will help other customers make a decision which board is best for your needs?In summary the board which I used to make a sandwich can easily hold about 4 rounds of bread. These board's are very ideal to have at your ready for every kind of food preparation. We've been using these boards for about a week, now and have used each board at least twice or more. The quality is something else; compared to other rather cheaper boards we have used in the past, these are of a very high denisity plastic and would appear to last for many a year; time will tell. Presented in a heavy stainless steel holder, which individually holds all 4 boards, it is very strong, durable and above all looks great in our kitchen. Even though these boards have warranted 5 stars from me, there is a minor niggle (for me) in so far that the meat board (red one) is smooth on both sides. Whilst slicing chicken for a stir fry, the breast slips around quite a bit.I would imagine that once the board has been used a few times, though, the cut marks would act as a rougher surface to help stop this. As a note, the fish board (blue one) has a band of small raised dots running down the middle (you can clearly see this in the pictures) that act to stop fillets sliding around. Perhaps this should be adopted by the manufacturer for the red board also? Other than that minor niggle, these boards are absolutely spot on. Bought at the reduced price of £30 on a Daily Deal (RRP: £79!)

Love these.Love the size. Love how the weight of them feels in my hands. Love the non slip on both sides. Love how they look in my kitchen.However...Can't believe someone would pay £70 for chopping boards. I picked these up for £27 in a lightning deal but was still choking as I pressed the "Buy Now" button.If you are determined to spend £70 on such a thing, please think again. Even if money means nothing. You can easily get a good substitution, or even this great product at a reasonable price, as I did, and then give the rest to some good cause.But, to clarify, I love them.... and of course they scratch. They're chopping boards! Jeez.

These boards are quite expensive in my opinion, and no better than those available at any supermarket. I found that they marked on first use and when put in the dishwashers, the tabs tend to peel slightly. What they do have is style and practicality. There is a specific, colour coded board for fish, raw meat, veg and cooked food so minimising the risk of cross contamination. They sit neatly on the counter top in their receptacle, which is sleek and stylish. Whether the sleekness and style is worth the premium price is a subjective issue.

I am highly pleased with these boards. I have been diagnosed as coeliac and so was advised to replace all my chopping boards to stop cross contamination. They have worked a treat and my antibodies have reduced and I am beginning to feel much better. I read the reviews before buying and some were saying that the boards were marked quite quickly, but what are they for? And once through the dishwasher they get put away and keep my sides looking clear and you don't look at them again until you use them! I would certainly buy again.

Peculiar plastic - brilliant but quite bizarre. I washed these ready for use and the water just trickles off - so easy to dry and put back into rack DRY. Used green one so far for much chopping of veg - left unmarked. Maybe I am light handed but usually there is a slight footprint of use on a chopping board - so far I am well chuffed - super easy to store (sits next to toaster), SO easy to clean and dry, and very hard wearing from what I have seen so far.Truly a fab product - bought on the Black Sunday offer, just delighted.

Elegant design, easily stored and makes for a spacious countertop. The designated cutting areas make for a quicker and more reliant cleanup for the house hold. My only issue is that it leaves marks a lot clearer than wooden ones we have used in the past, which is to be expected with it being plastic. However, nonetheless, it's still unpleasant to look at considering they are only a few weeks old and already look very used. Other than a petty aesthetic issue, it works fine, it looks fine and it's easy to clean and put away.

Got these in the amazon prime day deal. Been wanting these for ages but they were always too expensive. They are great chopping boards, ideal for a small kitchen like I have, but they’re aLittle too small for things like pizza or whole chicken/roast joints etc.Only reason I give 4 stars is because these mark quite easily. I had hoped that for the price they would be a little more robust on the cutting surface, but you can definately feel the slash grooves in the board after minimal use

I like the design and the non-slip bottom, but as others have mentioned, these boards are easily marked.See the pictures and decide for yourself if these boards are worth the cost.Purchased around end of Nov, one and half month's use, red was used around 10 times and green a little more.Though for the price I paid (£28.99 in lightning deal) I'd say it is worth the price.

I had the original set of these which had performed admirably and survived being placed in the dishwasher daily. These add a touch of innovation with a different groove configuration and texture for each type of board, and an anti slip grip on each corner. Neatly packaged and wrapped in stainless steel these would happily sit on the counter of most kitchens. A great product

Real quality product. Looks good and performs very well. Rubber pads stop it from moving around and there is a drainage channel on the meat board. As soon as you receive it you'll notice the build quality. You'll use this every day so don't put up with cheap rubbish. I bought a second one as a christmas present for my Brother and his wife and they love it too.

These are worth the money. The colour coordination helps a great deal . Really easy to clean,wipe and put away. Some have knife marks already but i noticed this depends on how sharp the knife is. I don't mind at all as they very sturdy boards and would last a long time. The case is so attractive.

Look great and work well - they go in the dishwasher which is great - my old ones bent when put in dish washer. yes they do score a bit when you use them like other reviews have mentioned but thats what they are meant to do rather then your worktops get damaged! Even husband likes them!

I absolutely adore these, if there is water or any liquid on the board it doesn't run on the sides, and they are easy to clean and wipe dry.Also they are extremely practical due to their storing unit not taking much place on the counter top.Highly recommended.

Great quality boards, they can be a bit tricky to get the right side as if not they can slide. The boards have varying surfaces on them to best complement the food you are chopping (with this in mind choose the correct board!)Best Black Friday purchase by far.
