I've had this chopping board set for a while now, they're great quality, look good in the kitchen. The plastic does get quite scored after a while, but I'd rather that than my worktop scratched!Some people have moaned that they're too small... However, the dimensions are clearly stated in the description, so it's not really a valid argument! (The boards are about the size of an A4 sheet of paper)All was going great... Until I thought I'd be posh one day and buy an unsliced loaf of bread. This soon turned into the most confusing time of my life, as it didn't fit into any of the four categories (veg, raw meat, fish, cooked). It then got me thinking, and I soon realised that I also cannot use the boards to cut cheese,for the same reason (it doesn't fit into the categories).At this point, I think I was having a panic attack, and I couldn't stop thinking about this problem for days. I didn't sleep for a week. My loaf of unsliced bread then went mouldy as I couldn't decide which chopping board to use. (I wanted cheese on toast, but I couldn't cut the cheese either). This entire set of events resulted in me sitting in the corner of the kitchen, licking the wall. (I managed to lick right through the plasterboard in less than 7 hours) I had to undertake intense therapy for a period of over six months.My advice would be... If you never want to slice bread or cheese in the future, then this is the product for you!I've just been advised that bread can be sliced on the "cooked" chopping board, as bread is technically cooked. That's one problem solved. Wish I knew that before.But what about cheese, Joseph, what about cheese?

Joseph Joseph have been modernising kitchen cutlery for a few years and their Advance Chopping Board Set is one of their stylish creations yet.Be warned, this chopping board set is for casual/light cooking and not for 'Michelin Star' meals. As reading some of other people's review I see the same criticism over and over again, it is; too small, cannot handle chopping etc. You cannot expect to have a stylish chopping board aswell as a fully functional chopping one.The Joseph Joseph chopping board is mainly designed and used for 1-2 people, it cannot handle big meats/vegetables or cooking for a whole family. With that being said I purchased the chopping board in 2013 and I am still using till this day.It is absolutely perfect for 2 people living together who cook simple food everyday.Yes it made out of some plastic material and do show signs of knife marks on the board, but don't all chopping boards so signs of knife marks?!!The rubber grips on the boards does it job but cannot handle when the surface is wet.The chopping boards are a great way to keep cutting meat, vegetables and hot cook separate. You'll soon learn and pick up only the board you need to cut certain ingredients and helping you not to cross contaminate.I purchased the Joseph Joseph chopping board when there was a lightning sale of £20. RRP price think twice before purchasing as you can get this on sale almost every year.

I have been looking for a set of quality chopping board. I liked the idea of them having a holder to keep everything together and the index to avoid cross contamination. They were in the Boxing Day sales so I went for them. They came in a box so would be good as a present.The boards fit into their own slot in the holding box so they do not touch one another, they are solid and quite heavy. I wasn't sure from the 'photo's on Amazon whether each board would be a different colour but they are not. The colour coding on the index is replicated on the non-slip corners on each board but other than that they are all a dark grey colour.This is actually quite smart and as each side of the board has these non-slip corners each board can be used on both sides.The boards are not huge and if you were preparing a meal for many I would think there would probably not be enough room to work in comfort particularly on the vegetable board - I will probably keep one of my old chopping board as an additional veggie board. Generally I am cooking for two people and I think the boards will be fine.As I mentioned I bought the set in the sales and although they were still expensive they were a bargain when compared to RRP. I do not mind paying more if the set lasts and continues to look smart with regular use.

I'm a big fan of the Joseph Joseph range and this didn't disappoint. This item arrived in a nicely secure packaged Joseph joseph box, making this a nice gift also. I was delighted with the design and quality but to be honest I've always been impressed with this particular brand. It was a bonus that they were on offer although I was expecting to pay full priceThe holder is a nice grey colour with a dotted texture with the Joseph logo. Each board is made for a different food group which in nice as my partner eats a lot of fish which I'm not keen on so its good to have a board solely for this. The red one is for meats, the green is for fruit and vegetables,the white is for cooked food and the blue for fishI love this range as they are very smart looking and a fantastic size. I know they do this in a larger set but to be honest this is the perfect size for any kitchen and looks neat.This looks very sleek on our kitchen side,I found the boards can get quite scratched but as they are in a holder no one can see this. The holder has an open bottom which means no dust settles inside as they can do with others making it difficult to clean. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a nice quality chopping board set

I have just purchased my first Joesph Joseph chopping boards and have a bit of advice. It has taken me forever to try and find the LARGE set as all the shops have different codes and prices. Speaking to someone at Joseph Joesph I discovered that the LARGE set only comes in three colours, check out their website. I purchased the set from Debenhams for £44 in a sale last week, it is called an Index Advance LARGE set. The first one was damaged in transit but I received a replacement within 2 days which was fine. It is a very attractive dimpled silver plastic case with 4 good sized coloured boards.I take from reading the reviews that a lot of people have been disappointed with the size of their boards,I would not consider the smaller ones. I am very happy but have only used them for a few days, yes they will mark I am sure if sharp knives are used but hopefully it will take a while. Overall really happy with the product as they look great sitting on my new worktop.

I first saw these marvellous cutting boards in my daughter Bridget's home. The first thing I noticed was the bright colours and the tidy way they were kept in their own box. I thought that they were so easy to get out and return to the box as normally one makes a mess trying to find the right one.The colours difinitely help to keep certain boards for certain produces for chopping, therefore no rogue smells transfering to other things to be prepared.Now my son has just become engaged and I thought of the Joseph chopping boards as an ideal engagement present.One can also purchase knives of the same colours as the boards to match up.Now I know what I need from Father Christmas....but then Mothers Day comes before then,so I had better start dropping hints in the right places.Inthe future when wedding lists start dropping through my letter box I know what to buy.!!!!!!

I’d been considering investing in one of these for a while, but couldn’t justify paying c.£50 on the high street. So I was pleased to see it quite a bit cheaper on here, even if it is a discontinued model.Looks great (it’s ‘on display’ on my work surface) and does exactly what I need - giving an individual, equally sized chopping board for each type of food I use during cooking. The white board is a good idea too - for ‘cooked’ foods, which I used for shredding cooked chicken etc.The boards are a decent size (could be little bigger, I suppose) and have effective non-slip corners.As a minor con, I’ve only had it just over a week and I’m already seeing quite a few cut marks on the veg board.Thought it’d take a bit longer before for them to show, but I suppose it’s to be expected (and I have used it quite a bit!)So overall I’m a pretty happy customer!

Firstly, let me say that at the RRP it is outrageous to pay that much for a set of chopping boards - no matter how good they may be. However at the Black Friday price, they were a steal and worth every cent.I had been wanting to get these coded chopping boards for a while, but couldn't justify the price. So when they came up as a deal I grabbed them and I was not disappointed. Together the set is actually very heavy - not cheap plastic at all. The boards themselves can withstand a beating and come with handy grips on both sides, so no matter what way up you use them they wont be slipping and cutting yourself. Also the 'all black' colour with just the food the indicators on top looks so much better than the bright colours of the original design.In addition the 'Aubergine/Purple' colour of the holder looks great in any kitchen.

I bought this set for my daughter and she absolutely loves it. It may seem alot of money to pay for chopping boards, especially when you can pick them up for a pound or so in the supermarket but believe me you will be able to tell the difference straight away. Some reviewers have said they are on the small side but the advantage of this is that they fit in the dishwasher easily and my daughter cooks for a family of four and finds them ideal. The hygiene/health advantages of having boards for different foods is self evident. To sum up they are a quality product at a very reasonable price from Amazon (as usual!), they look smart in the kitchen and will, judging by their quality, last a very long time.Buy.

Now hold on to your hats here but whats better that 4 colour coded chopping boards, 4 COLOUR CODED CHOPPING BOARDS WITH LITTLE SYMBOLS TELLING YOU WHAT TO CHOP ON THEM!!!!!. It doesn't even stop there THEY'VE ONLY GONE AND GAVE THESE CHOPPING BOARDS THEIR OWN HOLDER TO KEEP THEM ALL NEAT AND TIDY!!!. People these chopping boards are a revolution in the chopping board industry. WHY ARE YOU STILL READING THIS GET THEM ORDERED AS SOON AS!!! This is a fantastic product for the kitchen that keeps things neat, tidy and hygienic. It's a really great idea - 4 chopping boards - different colours for different types of food, all packaged into a box for easy, visually-pleasing storage. Each board has a tab to make it easy to find and pull out the one you're looking for. It looks a bit like a filing system for chopping boards!The big advantage of course is that you don't get cross-contamination of food - there's a board for raw meat, one for cooked meat, a board for raw fish and one for vegetables. The boards themselves are strong and high quality, easy to wash and store.

We have had so many chopping boards over the years and they either crack, warp under heat or cut. I decided to spend a bit more on these ones as they look reliable and sturdy. I was not disappointed. They are great. They are thick, kitchen proof and easy to clean. I can drop them and they dont mark, I can use any type of knife on them and they are fine and come up lovely from the dishwasher or hand washing.Not all Joseph Joseph items are great, one of their chopping boards that folds lasted a month before the handle snapped off, but these are definitely worth the little extra and take up very little room. Great product!

These chopping boards are lovely. They replaced my wooden chopping boards and they can go in dishwasher, it is just great. They are quite slippery at the beginning but after a few uses with knife marks on them they work better. I use the white one specially for making my daughter's sandwich. It is really cute. I also bought the cut and carve big black one from the same brand. Unfortunately that one got worn badly and showing a lot of white marks on the black surface. This set also get worn but they didn't start to show any different color under the surface yet, definitely better than that one.

I was lucky enough to purchase one of these set of chopping boards via the lightening deals. They are fab. I wasn't put off by other reviewers who said they mark easily, because that is what is supposed to happen. If the chopping board is too hard like some woods or glass it blunts the knife and the knife can slip. With these little beauties the food and knife are safe and secure. I also like having the idea of a board for different types of foods to prevent cross contamination, especially when preparing the likes of poultry. I would actually pay full price for one of these they are so good

We have previously had a set of these chopping boards which lasted a few years so when the time came to replace them, we just wanted the same thing. They fit neatly on the worktop and get popped in the dishwasher for cleaning. They are quite sleek looking. The boards are about the size of an a4 piece of paper, so may be slightly smaller than an average chopping board but we have never had a problem with the size when prepping food. The boards are marked by use with knives but it doesnt alter their use - as I said, the last ones lasted several years so they are plenty durable. Thumbs up.
