Disappointing as a chopping board but has its uses. It's made of a hard clacky plastic that won't be good for knife blades. Food slides around on it which seems quite dangerous if you are using very sharp knives. It stains easily and gets covered in knife cuts. It does come clean in the dishwasher but but not with handwashing. It doesn't always lay flat which can be annoying. It does fold for easy tipping into a pan or the bin. I use mine beside my wooden board so I can push peels and waste onto it for easy transfer to the compost caddy. I wouldn't buy again as a cheap flexible mat would probably be just as good.UPDATEi put a hot pan on it and it melted so I threw it out. Now I find I really do miss it.Using it for veg prep had become part of my daily routine. It was so much easier to dispose of veg peelings, and tip stuff into a pan. I’m going to have to buy another one so to be fair I’m upgrading from 3 to 5 stars. I obviously can’t manage without it.

Ive had my folding chopping board for a couple of years now and it is still going strong. The folding sides mean no more burning my fingers trying to extract bits from the hob before they catch light and allows you to pour easily into a pan. The surface is hardwearing and retains its colour. Most importantly its thin and stacks away easily in the cupboard. The only down point is that it is best to store it under something, if you use it a lot it can try and stay bent if you're not careful.I once met one of the 2 brothers Joseph who are behind all the Joseph Joseph designs and he lived round the corner from me in SW London. The only relevance of me adding this is because it shows they are like me and understand the need and desire for practical, good value, attractive kitchenware that has the added benefit of not taking up too much space. All JJ products are always conscious of space issues which makes me return to them again and again.

I was given this as a present. It is a great idea and works quite well but I am bit disappointed in it. Firstly, it is quite small so you have to be quite careful about how you chop to keep everything on the board. Secondly, it scores really easily so after a couple of uses it is looking well used. Thirdly, if you have it flat it is fiddley to get it folded (note to self - chop everything and fold it prior to starting cooking so that it is good to go at the vital moment). Having said all that I will use this often as it makes adding ingredients to the pan really easy and ask Santa for the bigger one as I couldn't justify spending that kind of money on a chopping board!

Bought as a replacement for an identical model, which has lasted me 3 years. It makes chopping & transferring food to the pan easy. Cleaning it is easy too. It stores flat, but when you want to use it you may have to have the handle vertical so that the chopping surface lays flat, which has never been a problem. The reason I replaced my previous one is that it had got very marked by knife cuts, potentially harbouring germs, so thought it best to replace. Product could be improved by making it more resistant to knife cuts. However, I liked it enough to buy another!

Chopping on this can be annoying as it doesn't sit flush with the worktop like other boards do. But the folding feature makes up for that shortfall as it's so much easier to tip the chopped food into a small bowl without having to guide it off the board. The small board is too small I feel - for example I find it fine for cutting one onion at a time, but try to do a few more things on there at the same time and it gets difficult. The large one is my recommendation.

These chopping boards are great! Being able to get chopped veg etc neatly into a pan is very helpful. The red finish on this one is lovely and the overall effect seems to be good quality. The texture of the handle (raised bumps where you grip) is quite nice and makes it feel secure in your hand. The only slight downside is the size - it would be nice to have a larger option but this size works just fine for whatever I need to chop! Worth the money.

I felt this product was made well and had a clever design. The idea is you cut up your produce, then squeeze the handle which makes the sides of the board bend in meaning you can tip the contents straight into your saucepan. The only design floor I could see was that squeezing the handle in did seem to be a little hard unless you were holding it in the right place, maybe a little tricky for the ladies with small hands.

Bought this for someone who loves kitchen gadgets and they were extremely impressed. Great for scraping things into bowls or pans however it tends to not lay completely flat when chopping. Even tho we have had it less than a month it’s not as sturdy as when we first bought it but that’s hardly noticeable when just chopping things. It’s also a lovely vibrant colour and a great size to chop on and store away.

Every now and then someone has great idea and this chopping board is one of them. I was fed up with chopped vegetables etc. falling of my chopping boards whilst trying to load them into to the cooking pan. This clever design ensures 100% success - it real does! As a bonus it does not blunt my needle sharp knife set and it is dishwasher safe - need any more encouragement to buy?

I bought this for a friend for Christmas as she is well into cooking. It was well received and I was delighted when I walked into her house and saw the board on her sink unit having been used (what better way of saying thank you than seeing someone use your gift). Love the colour. Service was great. My friend had not seen or had one of these before and found it really useful.

For someone who does a lot of chopping, I decided to treat myself on one of these chopping boards. It feels like a very well made board and well designed. As designed, you can fold up the edges and slide all your chopped contents effortlessly into a pan! There's not much more I could ask for from a chopping board.

A classic design. Our old one had seen better days so we had a look around and these white ones were on offer. You can see they've evolved the design a little: it has rounder corners at the end and now has a 'knife friendly' dimpled surface. Still a fabulous solution for casual chopping needs.

Glad I bought both of these boards as they have different uses including a spiked undercarriage to place roasted meat on the large one - smaller unit pushes sides together to form a 'shovel' which is ideal for disposing easily of breadcrumbs when cutting unsliced bread

I had one for a number of years, and finally it broke. I ordered another one, and am very happy with it. It means that all the veg I chop is easily transferred to the pan. It is also lightweight, easy to use, and looks a little studier than its predecessor
