I regularly use this on my Olympus 75-300 M43 lens, and it works effectively. Whilst it is expensive for what it is, it is a fraction of the price of the Olympus model, and functions identically. The fit is snug, though it lacks the 'line-up' mark present on other JJC hoods, but this is easily fixed if such a mark is needed with a judicious marker pen or coloured tape. The hood also fits in reverse for storage, though not quite a snugly, but good enough for stowage purposes. Be aware that in reverse position there is not enough clearance room for those snap-fit lens caps that have protruding lugs on opposite sides of the cap,

Had reservations about purchasing due to the odd comment referring to the hood being difficult to remove.This hasn't been the case however, it is tight when reversing for storage on the lens so care does need to be exercised. the quality of the plastic is good, certainly no worse than other hoods I have from own branded lenses. will definitely do the job I bought it for which was mainly to protect the front part of the lens etc

As a hood it does the job. My copy is quite a tight fit and I've found myself putting it on and off the lens numerous times to try and make it a little looser. I'm a bit worried about the amount of pressure I have to put into the twisting action to add or remove it, but haven't noticed any detrimental affect on the lens as yet.

Fits my lens perfectly and goes on easily if you take care and watch what you are doing. Can' t comment on pic quality yet but it looks similar to an original Olympus hood but at a fraction of the price.

What can be said, it fits, it works,Slightly tight on my lens which in a way is good, but need to be careful when fitting and removing.How can they do it for about £12 when Olympus ask £30+.

This hood is a perfectly adequate substitute for the much more expensive Olympus-branded hood.It's a pity that Olympus, unlike Panasonic or Tamron, don't include the hood with the lens.

Why pay olympus prices for a lens hood (that should have been included in the lens package!!) ?This fits perfectly. It does the job. Solidly made. Well done .

The hood fits, is well made and comes at a considerable saving over an OEM version, so very happy.
