First of all, this is a printer designed for small offices, hence the name "OfficeJet". Consequently it's bigger, more costly and does more than a standard cheap home printer.I'll go straight to the first review on this that references the price of the cartridges and gives this printer 3 stars. That is an unfair review because the cartridges for this printer are larger than a typical home inkjet. If we take the Epson Expression Home XP 352 (£45 home printer), a pack of cartridges will print 175 pages from the black and 180 pages from the colour. The HP OfficeJet 9010 will print 1000 from the black and 700 from the colour. If you purchase the high yield then this jumps to 2000 and 1600 respectively.Working out the costs per sheet, both normal and high yield packs are cheaper than the Epson (£78.99 & £109.60).Right, that's out of the way. This is a chunky printer with a top sheet feeder, scanner & fax. It prints and scans double-sided and is wifi. Setting up is easy, I used my smartphone and it talks you through it step-by-step. It does require setting up an HP account but you can use your phone/tablet/PC to use it! In fact, it's so straightforward to use devices that I haven't even bothered with the printer touchscreen itself.Print quality is good, obviously this is not built for photos but the text was clear and looked good. The printout was fast, no smudges and no jams.Scanning was impressive, double-sided using the sheetfeeder was really useful to have at home, no longer having to scan pages individually. The PC connected straightaway and didn't need to log into the account, my partners phone needed to login as the main account into the HP app. I'm not sure this is great, I would prefer allowing different people their own accounts but once logged in, there is no problem.I would advise buying this printer with a set of cartridges as the ones included are testers and it clearly says this so the number of prints is far reduced.Very impressed with this and ideal for any home office situation.

This stylish looking yet compact Officejet printer is easy to set up straight from the box in around 30 minutes. The printer has a scanner on top, with a paper feed tray, one paper drawer and a little pull-out tray to catch your emerging printed paper with a fold-away flap.I set this up via my laptop, not my smartphone. First you have to turn the printer on and select ENGLISH as the language on the front touch screen, which swivels upwards for easy reading when stood in front of the printer. Then download the HP software recommended by Windows and use this to install the printer following the provided steps. Once a test alignment sheet has printed successfully, you must place this on the scanner to align the printer.Once done, the printer is ready to use.The printer works wirelessly, and needs connecting to your wifi network, so have your password handy.Once connected, you can send to it from your computer or smartphone, and allow other users to register on the device to do the same.I had to watch one online video to figure out how to put the ink cartridges in. You cannot open the ink cartridge door with the scanner top lifted. This must be down. Also, there is a very faint click when the cartridge is loaded correctly. Push it in too hard, and it disengages and pops out again. It must be a fine art, or it may be because it is my first inkjet printer.Overall I am very pleased with the quick and quiet operation, the quality of the prints, and the fact that the ink cartridges are all separate colours these days, so when you run out of black you only need to buy black again - not all 4 colours!

Felt slightly dubious reading some of the reviews but took the plunge to buy the HP OJP 9025, liking the 500 sheet trays and promised speed. So far, everything has been great, linked by wifi to my Macbook Pro, I am certainly no computer geek but just turned it on and followed the instructions on the little screen on the printer. Did not need to use the enclosed start up guide or look for any on line directions - really simple and straightforward. Really not like me to manage anything like this without swearing!! Only took a few moments more to add my wife's iPad and my phone and have a play printing things from different places in the house and different devices. (I know little things please little minds)Simplest set up ever, I never managed to utilise the wifi on the Canon this is replacing. The printing is really quick compared to any previous printer I have had and whilst I haven't done any large jobs yet I have no reason to seriously doubt the figures given. It scans really quickly as well and the document feeder is a big plus for me. General printing quality is good but photo quality is the only reason I only give four stars for quality, I did not expect great as it is not a photo printer so it is an acceptable trade off for the speed gains.Build quality seems good and solid for the price.Reviewed my likely useage and decided not to utilise the HP instant ink process. So five stars in all but one area for me so far. Will try to remember to come back and correct if I have reason to become less impressed.

I do quite a bit of work from home, and while I'm not printing reams and reams, when I do print documents, I need them to look professional. My previous printer was an HP photosmart and to be honest it was fine for the kid's homework and the odd letter I needed to print at home, but the quality was not great. Lines would sometimes be a bit wonky, colour reproduction inconsistent and I began to feel I couldn't rely on it for work. This Officejet pro is a massive upgrade. Firstly, do check the space requirements - it is significantly bigger and heavier than your average consumer printer. However, the payback in terms of quality makes it well worth it - the output looks like it could have been done on a huge office laser printer.Really impressed.Set up was dead easy on my Mac - up and running in less than five minutes. Windows was a bit of a faff and for some reason the HP set up software didn't work. I needed to use the Windows default utility and then connect using the printer IP address (which is easy to find) rather than just connect automatically. Not a major issue - but 30 minutes of messing around compared to the 5 minutes on the Mac.Ink is not cheap - having used HP instant ink, I'm not sure it's the right economic model for me, so have switched back to buying ink cartridges. These are not cheap, but I guess there's a price on quality!

I ordered this printer because my old one was a nightmare, really, having served me well for a good seven years in my home office. I need a printer to scan expense claims, print small documents, copy items for filing and/or scan them electronically, print out a chapter of my latest effort for creative writing class, that sort of thing. This printer-scanner-photocopier all in one is large for a home office and comes in industrial shades of pale grey and dark grey. At first I was disappointed because I could not download the necessary drivers and software no matter how I tried. However, I blame the poor quality of available wifi in my area, and have connected the printer easily using a USB wire which I purchased off Amazon for around £6.The print quality, by contrast, is excellent, and so is the scanner and copier. For me, this is going to be ideal, I think.I hope to be able to address the wifi issue again sometime but to be quite frank, a manually connected machine is fine for at home.I am not going to use the 'Instant Ink' solution at least for now, but will purchase when required.I may come back and give a fuller review after a period of time, when I have explored all the extra features, but for now, good value, good results.

I wish I had looked more closely at the capability of this machine. I needed automatic double sided scanning and this machine doesn't have that capability. My old HP OfficeJet Pro 6970 had this capability and whilst the new machine looks more sleek I feel that I've taken a backward step. Having unpacked and destroyed the packaging, I'm going to have to put up with it.All other functions of the machine are great. Usual HP quality. I have been enrolled on the Instant Ink program for over two years (enrolled with last printer). My rollover pages were transferred to this new machine and the two months free were added to this account. I can see there are some who are saying to avoid the Instant Ink program but I have found it brilliant.A small monthly fee and ink delivered whenever its needed and in good time so you don't run out. You can change plans to suit instantly.Printing is good quality and fairly quick.

This printer impresses from the start, the packaging, the setup, the build quality, all second to none. The setup includes the HP Instant Ink option which isn't suitable for me as I print in 'campaigns' rather than consistently throughout the month or year. It produces excellent print quality and indcludes nice new apps like scan print from a phone or printing photos direct from phone or ipad. However, when I came to look for ink for the unit I realised why the printer cost £129 and feels like it should cost £250 or more. The ink prices (which might be partly due to Coronavirus right now) are astonishing.. a full cartridge set costing at least £120 for XL versions (1500 pages)From prior experience I avoid generic inks.. so this will be an expensive unit to run.. It might work out slightly cheaper with the 'Instant Ink' but I simply don't want to be tied to a contract... who would?

Purchased to replace an older office jet pro. Particularly wanted a printer with the USB port which this has. Was very quick to arrive, easy to set up and so far, happy with print quality. Think it is a little quieter than the older printer and also noticeably quicker. Needed the HP support as wanted to check that this product was eligible for the 3-year warranty. It was – but I did have to follow a link they sent to activate this. Also happy with the price paid as was also able to participate in the cashback offer so received £30 back within the month. All good so far. Was also easy to transfer over my existing instant ink plan. Followed the instructions within my HP account and replacement ink arrived within three weeks of purchase. All good, very happy with this choice of printer so far.

The only thing that could be improved are the instructions. It's all very well having to get them from the app or the website but, it would help if the exact model was listed (you are told it is important to enter your full model name exactly as stated on the machine). Not helpful when, after having done this, you are told there is nothing listed under that description! Found that another model (with a description close to this one's) gave me most of what I needed. Why not provide a memory stick (or similar) option as well? The only other issue is that it doesn't seem to turn off using the power button - have had to switch off at the mains.Could be an instruction issue or a fault - can't tell which as very little in the way of written instruction is provided.

I am a solicitor presently working from home and needed a fairly sized printer that could print double sided, scan double sided, and fax.Must say I have been very impressed with the printer thus far, especially the scan feeder function which allows you to feed on documents and scan 2 sides by selecting the option on the app pinned to the task bar of my lap top.Setting up was also straight forward and downloading the HP software took no time. HP instant ink system is something I would recommend too. Takes way all the hassle! If there is any negative so far, it is how sensitive the machine is. Had a paper jam a couple of days ago and it wouldn’t resume working until the tiniest shred of paper wasremoved from it.

I've use hp all in one printers before and have loved them, so when this came out I knew I could expect good things. The setup was so quick and simple and the option to set it up using the app was fab! It made the whole process so simple and time saving. The print quality is second to none and the paper isn't soaking wet when it comes out either. I was so impressed with the speed at which the print happened and how quiet it is (even without the added quiet mode switched on!).So far I've tested everything and am so glad I bought this printer. The office has not seen efficiency like this in a while!I guarantee you won't regret buying this.

This is a really high-performance printer. It prints fast and clear, scans quickly, costs affordably and I have not come across any paper jam problem so far (2 weeks). However, as an office jet, it would be even better if it could have a rear paper feeder as from time to time, it might be necessary to print on different sizes of paper. It might also worth to mention that the default scanning software for this printer is "HP Smart", which is a generic software that is both simple and easy to use but might be over-simplified for more complicated scanning tasks like "scanning single-paged pdf" which is very useful when archiving invoices.

29.7.2019

There's absolutely no complaining about the speed and quality of this printer's output. It's reliable and feels robust in use, the sort of printer that would stand up to the rigours of office use.Setup is simple enough and the print quality excellent. My only gripe is that you're tied into HP's genuine inks - search as I tried, I couldn't find any compatible cartridges. Maybe it's too early, maybe the technology isn't duplicatable yet, but it hikes the price up so that replacing a cartridge costs similar to a laser printer.Overall, however, a superb product, especially for office use.

19.6.2020

Excellent service arrived sooner than advised. Product was well packaged and delivery driver was pleasant and efficient. The HP side of things - Set-up was a bit of a pain, previous printer took 10 minutes, this took nearly an hour to setup because of all the screens you had to go through. Do not agree with the pushyness of the ink ordering as you are setting up either, could be easy to agree to this service without realising it and then you are tied in.However, all in all happy with the product which is working well, although a little noisy when printing.

17.7.2019

I was surprised how small the printer was which is a good thing if you have limited space. Setup was so easy, from box to printing took less than 10 minutes. I printed a 31-page document using print on both sides of paper and in colour took only 5 minutes 31 seconds, for me that is fast, having the 30-page document feeder came in handed for digitizing my important mail. It holds 225 sheets of paper which I think is great especially since the printer is being used for business and personal use. The HP Smart app is great for printing from my mobile devices.
