My previews wall mounted Hozelock hose reel lasted for a decade hanged on the wall all year round exposed in the Yorkshire climate. I had to replace it as the wall detachable brackets failed and the drum inlet started to leak. The replacement has some crucial improvements; there are now two versions, a wall-mounted or a portable one. This makes sense to me as you no longer risk damaging the wall-mounted reel by yanking it off the wall and break the detachable bracket as it happened with my old one. As far as I can see the quality of the fittings and the overall construction appear identical if not better than the old one.

Exactly what I needed: I had lots of hose, but needed an empty hose reel as the old one got wrenched from the wall. I'm taking off a star because of all the packaging, and some unfathomable bits of plastic which didn't seem to do anything, and the installation instructions seem to have been designed for another product entirely: eventually I threw them away and followed my nose.

This is a very solid product. Easy to install and with a nice smooth winding action. Only difficulty was with fitting the hose adapter in the centre hub - with the hose on there is no way I could manoeuvre the elbow back into position. Just leave the elbow in situ and attach the hose - its much easier. Otherwise all is water-tight.

After having hozelock free standing reel for 14 years, it finally started to leak at the connections. Bought this as a replacement, definitely saves my back winding the hose up. Easy to fit to the wall and connect my hose to it. Unwinds and rewinds without any trouble. Wish I'd got one of these years ago.

Bought a Hozelock wall mounted reel so my daughter could fill up her water butt during extended drought periods. A good quality reel that assembles easily and fixes solidly to the wall,Now easy to unroll hose, connect to house tap and fill butt. Simple to wind hose neatly back in.

Just the job for keeping things tidy. Makes washing the car a breeze now (not that I wash it too often. Yes it won't easily accommodate the full 30m of hosepipe unless you are really methodical about winding it back on but I don't need 30m so not a problem for me.

Its a garden hose reel that does the job. Apart from that the only comment I would make is that the pictures depicted on the box certainly do not represent the minimum dimensions shown in the installation details. So someone hasn't followed the instructions!

Bought this on the strength of the good reviews and am happy with the purchase. I watched a YouTube video on how to put it together which was much better than the paper instructions. After that it was an easy build. So far, so good and everything works fine.

This one replaced an older version which had lasted over 12 years. The new one was simple to install, as the wall fixing points were the same as the old one. It all seems to work just as well with no leaks note so far = that can't be bad!!

It works well. Comes with limited fixings so make you have someone hand. I wanted to wall mount it and not have it removable to added a washer to one of the fixing to stop it being removed. Works well so far. Just need a longer hose now.

Just replaced our old identical reel that was almost 30 years old. This does the job of keeping our 100ft hose neat & tidy. Easy & fast to roll up the hose after use too. Excellent product, ease of use with robustness that will last.

Looks good quality, pity there was only one hose fitting in the pack but what can you expect for the price and I have plenty anyway. Previous reviews thought it was complicated to assemble but I found it quite easy.

It was a duplicate of my old one so I knew it would be a good buy. It is what it is, a good well made easy to use product. Not many available anywhere so luckily I came across this one.

Like the reel but I didn't think the screws are man enough for the job to hold it so I used bigger and longer ones that did the job reel was firm on the wall

Having had one of these hose reels previously which lasted at least 10 years I had no hesitation in ordering the same again.
