Ok so Its a bit cheeky reviewing this as I don't actually own it. What I do have is an Hitachi Hard drive that's been going strong and hassle free for 9 years! They make these to last and there is a wealth of information out there about Hitachi being the best for longevity. Buy one and replace it when SATA finally disappears.

I bought these or storage as Hitachi drives have been well rated by server users for reliability. It's too early to tell just how reliable they will be in practice - but I'm hoping they will live up to the name.

Incredibly loud, I mean seriously deafening, and that's even after I used noise dampening pads, but for the vast capacity and legendary Hitachi reliability, it's worth putting up with the noise.

Not a single problem so far. Excellent packing and very good price.Stable temperature of HDD 35 C.Actual capacity: 3,63TB.

HGST drives are consistently at the top (bottom?) of the charts for having the lowest failure rate.
