Firstly Global knives for me are the just the best.. well balanced, sharp, light and good looking. If you have never used before you will fall in love instantly.As for this knife, I bought a great set of 6 Global knives and block from Amazon, however the set was missing a carving knife.... so of course had to remedy that. This was the one I chose, and it, as expected, was great. Makes short work of your Sunday roast without ripping your carefully cooked meat! Completes the set perfectly... don't dishwasher though... take care

If you already own any global knives I don't need to tell you how amazingly sharp they are. A decent set of knives is something anybody who enjoys experimenting in the kitchen should have, and I can't rate global highly enough. You get what you pay for with global.The carving knife is a great addition to my set, and effortlessly carves any meat. My only suggestion to anyone looking for new knives is that the

with this knife - that will be a thing of the past. Razor sharp - a surgeon would be proud to wield this. Let your roast rest for 15 - 20 minutes and then use the entire length of the blade to carve perfect slices of meat. You'll be cooking roasts all the time just to use this knife. The fine edge means it is also the perfect knife to prepare sushi and sashimi without destroying the grain of the raw fish.

Whilst I give the Japanese their place for the working of steel and imparting and maintaining frighteningly sharp edges, I do not believe there is a tradition in Japan of roasting large hunks of meat.This is a deep and inflexible blade which functions excellently as a slicer of boneless joints.It is just that I suspect, when working around bones, a European style carving knife may be more functional.

gorgeous knife as all Global's are unfortunately the zip tie on the packaging was broken and a hundred to one it slid out cut me badly. totally not the sellers fault so your aware ok ? but obviously anyone who buys a knife over the net beware!! as for the seller bril on time perfect no issue with recommending them

Bought this knife for my fathers 85th Birthday....he has been moaning for years that he has never found the right knife to carve the Sunday roast meat. His feed back was 'it's like carving heaven' so I guess this knife must be brilliant because it's finally after many years stopped his moaning.

unbeatable knives for sharpness ,however the price of this is that you have to treat them like cut glass...no dishwasher and if you drop it : firstly it would probbaly take your toe off but if it doesn't it will shatter and they won't replace it.

I already know these knives are the best so there is no point in reviewing the product. Only to say I have never been disappointed by Global.So in this case, I must just say the supplier is excellent and the price is too.

Sharp and precise but not an insignificant price.Edge of blade needs protection and would recommend the correct sharpening tool.

I only echo what other people have said. It carves like a dream. Wafer thin or thick, not a problem. It is a marvellous knife

Exactly what I wanted, cuts through meat with ease. Brilliant and well worth the money. I would recommend this unreservedly

cuts through vegetables/meat like they're made of butter. Cutting used to be the bane of my cooking, now i love it.

This is a seriously good knife. Slices through meat with ease. It's pricey but money well spent I think.

I love this knife. Carving is now easy. Chopping is brilliant. Definitely recommend you buy one
