Gillette Venus Embrace Refill Razor Blade Cartridges - (3 pack) for me is an excellent buy and I have been using Gillette Venus razors for years and have never had any complaints about them. I actually find this particular brand very affordable and value for money for one main reason they last and do not irritate my skin. They have always given a very close shave and accompanied by the moisture strip leaves my skin hair free. I do find the moisture strip does wear away quite quickly but does not affect me when I shave my legs or under my arms as I always use some kind of soap or shaving product to make shaving easier.I have to be honest the best thing I have ever used when shaving my legs is hair conditioner as my legs feel like silk when finished.I have always found Gillette Venus Razor blades somewhat more expensive than other brands but I do believe in this case you do pay for what you get. I would rather pay a bit more money and have a closely shaved skin on my legs with no nicks of my skin or cuts. In my opinion these are made well and they do last a lot longer than other brands I have tried. I cannot say how long these will last for other customers as I do find some women do shave more frequently than others but I know this pack will last me at least three months so therefore they are a good buy which I know I will return to purchase time and time again.Gillette Venus Embrace Refill Razor Blade Cartridges is a brand which I would highly recommend to all women who like a nice close shave.

I had been forced to move from my faithful old, cheap and cheerful, orange BIC razor about 6 months ago when I discovered that they no longer made them. I had tried an electric razor then finally I tried the Embrace.I like the results of the shave but it only came with a single shaving head and an empty storage "pod". As I have discovered it is better to have spares in case they decide to move on to a new "type" of blade. The blue, green and white handle was very reminiscent of sea-splashing and I quite liked it until the male of the species pointed out that it looked like it was meant for men to use because of the colours - well, that was his excuse anyway. So I have decided that I am getting a pink handled Breeze one and he can have the blue and green one ... and any used razor heads I may be willing to throw his way.Fortunately for me the heads, both Breeze and Embrace, fit both pink and blue handles. This means that if you need a pink handle but you like the Embrace head then you can mix and match. The Embrace heads give a good shave and because there are 5 blades so I only need to pull the razor over the skin a couple of times in order to remove the hair. This is a great improvement on the old BIC ones.

My wife uses these items, which for a reason I am unsure of, I seem to purchase on my Amazon account. She alternates shaving and using an epilator which she finds provides her with the best result and reduces the rash that she sometimes gets from the former (predominantly with using a Mach 3 blade) and the discomfort associated with the latter. These items are difficult to source, but Amazon has sorted that out at a competitive price, particularly when using the repeat order system, "subscribe and save"; she finds that placing a repeat order every three months is ideal for her needs and the blades seem to last quite well.In use, my wife finds that the best results are achieved through taking a bath, rather than a shower and then using a dood quality shaving cream or gel to prepare her legs; she is not sure whether the inbuilt moisturising strip helps or not though. She finishes the whole process off by using a quality moisturiser and this combined with a good blade appears to provide a smooth finish to her legs and one that she is very pleased with. From a personal perspective, I am delighted that she no longer uses my Mach 3 blades and that she has found a product which satisfies her desire of smooth legs.

Last month I tried the Spa Breeze blades, which were OK, but wouldn't be my first choice to use again. This month it's on to the Embrace range with the 5 blades in each head. This does make the head a bit bigger, bit I haven't found it awkward and it seems to glide over all places fairly easily. I'm not quite sure what the moisture strip adds? It's not like the gel bocks on the Breeze, which are supposed to replace your shower gel. I just find I need to store my razor blades up or the moisture strip sticks to the bath!As with all Venus blades, the razor heads will fit onto any handle, which is quite a good system.I think I would say that this has given me the best shave of all the blades I've tried.

I got these as i'd already tried two other versions of these blades and found them to be great. These are also great, they manage to leave very little in terms of stubble, in fact my legs feel very smooth indeed. They don't make my legs come up in any kind of rash, or leave razor burn, i find this to be a problem with cheaper blades as i have really dry skin. They smell lovely and you don't have to bother bringing any shaving foam etc into the shower/bath with you unless you've been using the blade for a short while. This is my only real problem, that the moisture ribbon tends to run out before the blade is ready to be thrown, and sometimes it even flakes or breaks off which is irritating (literally).

In the past I have been reluctant to buy blades such as these because I was not sure if this was affordable or not, but overall considering how long each blade lasts then it is reasonably good value. In general these blades provide a good shave and I would recommend them but I feel that there are probably even better ones on the market. The only other small thing to watch out for is the packaging. I feel that it could be slightly misleading as although there are only three refill blades, the box has a big five at the top. This confused me at first because I believed there were five refill blades, however the five refers to the five bars on the blades and not the number in the box.

The Venus Embrace system gives a top quality and exceptionally smooth shave but what I really like about Embrace and the whole Venus range is that each Venus handle fits all the Venus blades. This means that if you want to try one of the other razors in the range such as Gillette Venus Breeze 2in1 Razor Plus Shave Gel Bars there's no need to buy another expensive handle. It also means that if you have a brain freeze whilst ordering a refill and forget the exact name of the Venus blade you want, you will be able to use those that arrive!I found these blades to be really long-lasting, whether this was due to having 5 blades or not, I'm not sure, but I'm certainly happy with them.

The razor feels like it's literally gliding across the skin and it gives a lovely smooth shave. I've previously used the basic Venus model and supermarket own-brand razors, but the Venus Embrace is better. I'm not overly convinced as to the moisturising properties of the strips, but they certainly do help to avoid dragging the skin. The only downside is the astronomical price of these blades! Supermarket own-brand razor blades are so much cheaper, but unfortunately they don't do a very good job in comparison. I suppose it makes sense to pay more to get a product that does a better job, but I really do question why razor blades need to be as expensive as they are!

I purchased these Venus blades for my Venus Snap travel razor as the original had been used way too many times. This item comes with 4 replaceable cartridges, each of them individually wrapped in a protective plastic cover. These fit the Venus Snap perfectly and are great to use either with or without shaving cream, which is an important factor when you go travelling, as you want to reduce the amount of bottles to carry around. I find that with fairly regular use, each cartridge lasts me about two to three weeks which is incredible.I will be repurchasing these for sure as they cost much better than in the shop and arrive very quickly.

The Gillette Venus Embrace blade cartridges give a beautifully smooth finish to the shaving process. They cut very close to the skin, and contain a moisture strip to help protect the skin from shaving irritation. These blade cartridges will fit into any of the Gillette razor handles, thus allowing the user to interchange the type of razor head used, depending on specific requirements. These razor cartridges contain a lovely moisture strip, either side of the blades, that adds to the protection of the skin.Overall, I highly recommend these razor blade cartridges as they give such a soft finish and make your legs feel lovely.

My daughter (16) has been using an electric shaver or a disposal razor on her legs and has moaned constantly that they are bristly. Like mens' razors you get what you pay for so I suggested she tried the Venus Embrace. After just one go I have never seen her so happy (at least not since her teens!). She said her legs are totally smooth and she can't believe it. She also likes that the pod sticks on the shower door, although personally I find it a bit annoying. The refills are well priced, if you think that you'll get about a year of use out of them (subject to hair bristles) the price is excellent value.Highly recommended.

The main kit that these blades are made for has a shower 'pod' or storage device that suckers to the wall, the handle hangs on the outside & inside is storage for two packaged heads. As such I would expect these to come in pairs rather than a three pack as I would usually wait until my last one is on the handle & go and by another set. They are interchangeable with the other other heads & handles so you can mix and match & just try one out.I like the Embrace as I get a good close shave off of the 5 blades & it builds up a fab lather so you can use it just dipped in water. It is my favourite manual head at the moment.

My wife and daughter have been trying these and give them rave reviews. Apparently the extra blade (there are 4 in each cartridge) mean less nicks and a cleaner shave. The built in moisturising strip is very effective, meaning a quick whizz to get the few that were missed did not need more foam or soap. But this is my review I guess - so here is the bloke's opinion. I ran my hand over my wife's leg and confirmed that, yes, it did feel smoother than usual, and yes it did feel silky where the moisturising strips ahd done their work!!Conclusion - worth the money so now we just need the bloke's equivalent ;-)

The Venus range can always be relied on to deliver smooth legs and the Embrace cartridges do just that. They fit any Venus razor which is great. My only criticism of this product is the packaging ... on the top it has a big '5' which on first glance led me to believe that there were 5 cartridges in the pack. On closer examination you'll find that this refers to '5 blades per cartridge'. There are actually only 3 cartridges per pack and this is written in a much less noticeable colour at the bottom of the pack. I've noticed that this is not the only brand to mislead in this way and it's disappointing.

I ordered these on behalf of my girlfriend who had been using a wilkinson sword razor and blades but hadn't been too impressed with them. She had an old gillette razor which these new blades fitted on to perfectly. The heads are surprisingly large but apparently make for a very comfortable smooth shave, the 5 blades ensure you catch every hair but she said it felt like you couldn't cut yourself even if you tried! These are more expensive than a lot of other brands but my girlfriend is a convert and they do seem to last quite a long time even with the more frequent leg shaves that summer brings!
