The GHD Gold styler is really nice to hold Eaay to turn on with a little light and gentle buzz when first turned on and then takea about 8-10 seconds to heat up. The styler is really comfortable to hold and gentle on even fine hair when heated up Nice long power cord and power lead is flexible on the attachment which is really handy if you are straightening awkward parts of your hair i have quite fine hair which is bob styled to my shoulders so my hair needs washing quite often sometimes every few daysMost mornings i wake up and look like Rod Stewart with my hair so washing is the only option but with The GHD Gold styler it transforms my hair into a sleek sexy bob within 10 mins as it is excellent at quick fix and no hassle.

This item came well packaged and comes is a nice box. You also get a silicone heat protector cover that goes over the end of the straightners.They have a long lead and when you plug them in they give a little beep. Switching them on is easy you just press the button and they sound to say they are heating up. They heat up very quickly and beep when ready. The sound is not like a fairy wand as like my Platinum styler. Its a lot quieter. I like the fact that these have a slight ridge/line on the outside of the styler as to where to put your fingers when holding them. Its a nice feature and helps you not to burn your fingers as they do get very hot. These are easy to use and didn't pull or snag my hair.

I have the previous gold ghd and this version in.my opinion, this version is a huge improvement. It is heavier and more solidly built. The plates are larger and the finish to my bobbed hair is very smooth and shiny.They make a noise when plugged in to let you know it is plugged in and a noise when switched on which is always welcomed. It comes with the wraparound heat protector for added peace of mind when finished and like my other ghd, it switches off after 30 minutes if not used which I like.It feels similar to me in quality to the platinum. Version I have and it looks good too.Overall, these are equal to the platinum ghds I have and I am using them currently as my preferred ghds at the moment.

Since GHDs came out Ive always wanted a pair, mum and dad got me my first pair of straighteners (Remington theyre like 12 years old now) and they still work! But of course cos theyre old they dont work as well as they used to. My husband bought these GHDs for me as a surprise & I am in love with them! It takes me 10 minutes to straighten my hair instead of 40 minutes (I have long hair past my butt and its thick) and it takes 15-20 minutes to straighten my husbands hair instead of an hour/hour 20 (his is half way down his back, crazy curly and SUPER SUPER THICK!! He prefers his hair to be flat under his turban.)We are both in love with these GHDs and would recommend them to anyone with REALLY

I purchased this product about a month ago, so have been using them everyday since. I love the results I get with these straighteners. They leave my hair soft and healthy feeling. My hair is naturally frizzy, after using this product my natural frizz is gone. I also find using a small amount of hair serum whilst straightening my hair combats all the frizz.I usually wear my hair straight on a day to day basis and at weekends love to curl it. The way the product is designed with a smooth curled barrel is perfect for creating curls. I was in a rush today curling my hair and had brilliant looking full head of curls in less than 10mins.I highly recommend this product for both straightening & curling hair.

I love my new GHD Gold styler. Having owned several GHD models and upgrading every year, I have to say this new model is my absolute favourite. The design is easy to grip for straightening or curling hair. You don't have to clamp the styler together too hard to get the desired effects. I use mine for straight, wavy, and curly hair, I have quite thick hair with hair extensions and any of the desired styles only takes ten minutes. My favourite thing about this styler is that I have 100% confidence that if I accidentally forgot to turn them off, they would trip out. Most models of GHDs have this, but I have never felt so confident with it before. However, with this model the GHDs even bleep when plugged in but NOT turned on,

In addition to this product I also have access to a ghd V styler... being the curious person that I am, I decided to do a half head comparison. After washing my fine, yet stubbornly wavy hair the night before. I left it to dry naturally and gave myself a lovely centre parting... I used the ghd V first which comfortably smoothed and straighted my hair quickly and efficiently. I next got out my new GHD gold styler out.... it feels very nice to hold and has a illuminated power button with audible sounds to show power and readiness.... I was pleased to find that the styler made easy work of my ‘bed’ hair and it definitely left it feeling smoother than the side straightened with the GHD V.

I love GHD, I love all their products but I was so disappointed for one reason which unfortunately doesn't have to do with the direct product itself:- They have a homepage for like every country even Japan but not for Switzerland... it's okay for me to order from the "other parts of the world" homepage fine for me, but when I select Europe then I expect an EU PLUG (which should work with the EU system and not an UK PLUG). For me this is just laziness even when they state it on their website I really didn't straight see it (because it's literally their last point and who reads until the end), so okay it's my fault but still it doesn't make any sense to me to use a plug for a plug for a plug (even if it would work!).Otherwise best products in the world!

i would thoroughly recommend this styler. I have been using GHD's for a very long time now and the update on this set is very good. The very smooth gold plates just glide so smoooothly over my hair giving a very sleek and shiny finish. The curve on the plates also make it very easy to curl and the added cool finger plates on the barrel make it more comfortable to hold whilst curling. The gold button at the hinge of the plates just adds to a very stylish look. As always the long swivel cable makes using the styler so much easier and I love the addition of the blade cover so that it can immediately be packed away without fear of burning anything. The sleep mode is fantastic just in case one is distracted and forgets to switch of.

I put off buying a GHD for years, believing them to be too expensive. I have very difficult hair to manage so went to the hairdresser every single week for nine years as I just couldn't do my hair at all. Over the years, I also ended up buying five different pairs of straightening irons (yes, really!) so I have actually ended up spending a small fortune on my hair. Last month, I finally bought my first pair of GHDs. Why, oh why didn't I do this sooner?! I have immaculate hair in minutes; I no longer go to the hairdresser (except for my roots!) and my hair is in fabulous condition. Absolutely worth every penny (had I bought them in the first place, it would have saved me a huge amount!).

I have recently purchased the Gold styler to replace the platinum model which broke after roughly only 7months use (they were given to me as a birthday present so no reciept) I was very impressed with them when first used but very disappointed that they broke in such a short space of time. I’ve had two other pairs of the original stylers that lasted almost 10 years each time. I have noticed that the platinum model is no longer available to buy on the website, so can only assume there is a major fault with them.I am pleased with the performance of the Gold styler so far. They keep my hair straighter for longer & it feels less damaged than before.

After my old GHD straighteners broke after years of use, I was using other branded straighteners but not getting the same results. After years of using other straighteners I had finally decided to order some as a birthday present and I am so pleased that I did. The heat up time is fantastic, only 25 seconds and they are ready to use. The plates are smooth through my hair and I don’t need to worry about my hair getting caught. They keep the same heat throughout use which is a brilliant addition as it is stopping my hair breaking and drying at the ends. I have yet to curl my hair, but the rounded design means that I anticipate this to be a smooth easy task.

This was my first GHD purchase and I've been really pleased with the results so far. The styler is quick to heat up and I love the added safety feature of beeps indicating when the wall socket is on as well as knowing it will shut down automatically if I ever forgot to switch off. The styler is easy to handle and was instantly effective at straightening my naturally wavy hair. I've been watching the online styling videos and am already learning to create loose waves and curls just as I want them which makes this so much more versatile than a regular straightener. The GHD gold professional styler is another great product. Easy to use, heats up in seconds and glides through the hair leaving your hair feeling silky smooth. Plays a tune to let you know it is ready to use. Unlike other stylers I have used this really does make your hair feel smoother. It comes with a heatproof guard which is a welcome safety tool with young children in the house. My daughter has long hair and I have short hair - This product is great on both. Easy to hold and the on/off button is not near the hot plates so again a well thought out safety feature. I would recommend this styler to all. It really is a great, easy to use product.

Having used GHD straighteners for many years l was dubious if any more improvements could be made. I was proved very wrong though! The new GHD gold styler has a slightly larger ceramic plate that glides over your hair without snagging and leaves a beautiful shine on your hair! I have highlighted shoulder length hair that can easily dry out and the gold styler leaves my hair so soft and glossy. They are a lovely lightweight size and easy to hold, heating up within 10 seconds reaching a good temperature that’s doesn’t singe your hair, like many other stylers on the market. Overall l am really pleased with the gold styler, nothing l can fault about them!
