This is the third straightener I've had over the past 15 years; the other two have been fine (Nicky Clarke and an original GHD) but I've always had to go over my hair a few times in order to iron out the kinks, as it were, and to be honest, even when brand new, neither made my hair completely straight. And it would take quite a while. Obviously, as they've become more aged, they've become less efficient, so I recently decided to replace them.Enter the wide iron. My hair is very thick, very curly, and comes down to the base of my spine. Left to its own devices, it makes Hagrid's look pretty slick and debonair... so when I say that not only does this Cloud Nine Wide Iron remove all traces of curl on the first go but also that it lasts for a good couple of days,

These straightners are absolutely amazhing I’d say just as good as GHDS. These are a wider plate which saves time on straightening hair. I’ve not tried curling, but I’m pretty sure I’d get big bouncy curls. They do not snag your hair, glides straight through frizzy hair like mine. I like being able to turn the temperature down as I have fine hair. It does take some getting used to switching them on as there in an awkward place but you soon get used to it. Hair felt soft and looked shiny after use. Came with a lovely storage bag plus the amazing surprise of a teal colour ticket that gets you magic potion spray bottle to dry your hair. Unfortunately you do have to pay for P&P however the bottle it’s self is worth £20.

Over the years I have bought GHD, babyliss, and lots of other brands of hair straighteners and they wer good but never that amazing, my hair is thick and after straightening my hair it would stay straight for about 1 hour if that!! And then it would go back frizzy especially in humidity!! However I got these last week to treat myself and I can’t explain how much these have changed my life!! It takes me 5 minutes to straighten my thick long hair whereas usually it would take 30-40 mins going over several times! With these ones I only have to go over once!! They stay straight for hours I’ve been out for 12 hours and my hair was still straight! Even after sleeping!!

I have bought many straightners in the past including GHD. And i found them all.not great. They all did the job but with effort. But the cloud nine... just wow. Well worth every penny. It takes me about 15 min to do mine and my two teenage daughters hair. This used to take me at least an hour before i got these beauts. I did get the insurance too just incase. But im very happy with this purchase. Would recommend them to anyone who has thick stubborn hair. Me and my girls are very happy. Our hair is so smooth and straight. And lasts for a few days till next hair wash after use. Very very happy. Honestly disnt think i would be.as like i said ive brought GHD in the past and found then ok..not great.

I wish I had bought these a long time ago! Excellent product and even though they are wide plate I can even straighten the smallest of sections of hair with ease! I have very thick naturally curly hair so these are ideal, it makes straightening my hair less of a chore! They get very hot so I would recommend using it on 2nd hottest setting & using heat protector too! These have been using for over a year & are still in excellent quality, they have been dropped and still work perfectly too! Discounted price at the time of purchase but I would definitely pay full price for them.... I wish I’d bought them years ago x

Have always wanted a wide-iron straightener and did my reasearch. It came down to the GHD and Cloud Nine. Like the fact that it came with a UK plug which could be adapted to be a European one. Great reviews, on sale and the 2 plugs and I was sold. Used it tonight for the first time and love it. Glides through hair, good temperature settings, light weight and easy to use. Did my hair in half the time. You certainly get what you pay for! If you have long wavy hair, treat yourself. Another bonus - if you register your product within 14 days of purchase, Cloud Nine gives a 2-year warranty.

I bought these 2 weeks ago and they are amazing on my really long, thick, wavy, frizz prone hair. My GHDs gave up about 2 months ago (my 4th pair in 14 years) and to be honest they no longer lived up to the price so I was looking for an alternative. I bought a pair of cheap Tresemme straighteners, supposedly 230 degrees, but they were garbage. The price put me off buying them at first so that's why I purchased the cheap straighteners. They are worth every penny, hair sleek within 10-15 minutes and stays that way for the 2 days I can manage between washes.

I had my first set of cloud 9s around 8 years ago and they were a revelation. Recently they started to become a little temperamental so I decided to treat myself to the wide iron. I don't get very excited about hair/beauty items as they are just there to do a job but these are brilliant. The packaging is beautiful and they come in a lovely pouch. I can straighten my hair in minutes ... and it lasts. My daughter has very long curly hair but again I got great results in very little time (and without sectioning her hair). Definitely worth the price!

I was a bit weary moving to cloud nine as I have had GHDs for the last 13 years. My GHD's just don't seem to be as good anymore so I thought I would treat myself and look for a change and take a gamble on these. Well what can I say, very impressed. I have fine hair but lots and lots of it, so straightening my hair can take a while. With the cloud nine, I straightened my hair within minutes, so smooth and stays straight all day! I would say as a historic GHD fan, it really is worth taking the risk on these and paying the price for these!!

Very powerful had to change from ghd as they wasn’t doing anything for my mixed race hair if anything ghd caused more damaged due to passing through my hair so many times! These are a god send they are wide enough to grab my thick hair so I don’t need to go over the same section and doesn’t pull on my hair I noticed you hair doesn’t feel hot after use either I’m so happy you can adjust temperature so suitable for all hair types makes my thick curly Afro smooth and sleek not to mention the movement long lasting effects too

So I've always been ghd loyal but I've noticed over the years that their straighteners aren't the greatest these days, so I bit the bullet and treated myself to these lovely cloud9 ones, safe to say I'm not disappointed, I love these straighteners and the fact you can the temperature on them is a real bonus, they come with a heat guard and also a lovely storage bag.Would buy again and highly recommend these!! So if your unsure to say with ghd or move to cloud 9 my advice is go for it as you won't be disappointed!!

I bought these to replace my very old GHD's, and I am not disappointed. I bought them knowing they are from the makers of GHD so felt confident they would be just as good as the old ones. I went for the wide plate as my hair is longer now and I'm delighted at how easily they glide over the hair. The variable heat setting is fab and so is the cover and heat proof storage/transport bag that they come with. Only thing to point out is that they do not turn off automatically when left not in use like my old ones!

I got these straighteners delivered today after my beloved GHD’s broke. I was a little sceptical at first because of the “hype”. BUT oh my goodness, they are amazing! I’ve straightened my hair with these this evening and it is honestly the straightest I’ve ever managed to get it (I have very long thick hair!).I would definitely recommend and although they are a little pricey, they are so worth the money.Came in a lovely packaging box and comes with a zip up bag to put your straighteners in. :-)

I bought these after my hairdresser recommended them to me. They are a little pricey but come with a 3 year warranty from cloud9 and & I expect to get many years of use. The wide iron makes straightening my hair really quick & easy. It’s harder to curl with the wide iron, which is a shame, but I did have a feeling that would be the case. Otherwise I love them - they heat up really fast & have different temperatures settingsand the carry case with silicone cover is great for travelling.

I've got pretty thick curly hair which maintains the same coarse texture when I straighten it (anyone with curly hair will get what I mean) so it never properly 'passed' for straight hair up until I bit the bullet and purchased these. As much as the cost made me wince, I haven't second guessed my decision. I had a pair of straighteners for (admittedly too many) years and they never kept my hair straight throughout the day in the same way that these do. Highly recommend to my fellow curlies!
