Firstly just want to point out I didn't purchase from amazon but do have the same product!I have extremely long, thick curly hair and have been addicted to straightening since I discovered the iron trick many moons ago ?my first decent pair of straighteners were the old school GHDS which I couldn't fault! Unfortunately they passed on to the big ceramic plate in the sky after 8 years of dedicated work, I was devestated!! Without hesitation or reading reviews (I blame the grief!) I purchased my second pair only to be dissapointed & a yr later left with the same loss!So I ditched the GHD brand & have tested many brands & alternatives (normal size and wide plate)I always thought having wide plates

I decided to wait and use the straightners for a few months before writing a review.I had the same pair GHDs for years and reluctantly couldn't afford another pair and decided to shops around. I decided on this model due the reviews and have been using them for 4 months now. I have thin, wavy, stupid hair that seems to look bigger than it actually is and has to be straightened to tame. The straightners have 3 setting and I'm not sure why as the lower 2 are rubbish and you end up going over the same section of hair a few times to straighten, which in my opinion will surely do more damage!? The straightners are a curved shape. So they constantly fall over which is really annoying and explains the cover so the straightners can rest on and not damage anything.

I've always bought BaByliss Straighteners and have never been disappointed, and this didn't either! A great product, and glides through hair and grips it perfectly with no pulling. I was apprehensive before purchasing about the fact that there was only 3 heat settings, but it hasn't been an issue. I've straightened my normally frizzy unruly hair on the lowest and middle setting and it has done the job more than perfectly and very quickly. Some reviews I read before purchase mentioned the button being in an awkward position and that it switches off accidentally in use, but this has never happened to me. The heat up time is fast, and they are lightweight which along with the long swivel cord makes it easy to use.

I thought that because they were so much cheaper these would not be able to compare to my previous GHD straighteners but they have been excellent and I am really happy with them. Really long cord; heat up quickly; three heat settings and nice long plates. They come with a heat resistant "mat/wrap" which is great for transporting them. They straighten well but maybe with a fraction less "shine" in the result compared to my GHD's but to be honest I like that slightly less silky and more textured look. I think they will curl well too but I'm not yet good at that and need a lesson. Anyone? The build quality is understandably not as good as the more expensive brands but they are nice and light which I think is an advantage as less arm ache.

These arrived very promptly and were packaged well. Didn't know what to expect because I usually have ghd straighteners. What can I say except WOW! They beat my ghd's by a mile. They are sleek and have a great cable length which made life so much easier as my electric socket is situated a few feet from the mirror. They heated up quickly and are a dream to use. My hair is quite long and it straightened in no time at all. I also thought I'd test them out on my teenage daughters hair. Her hair is really thick and really long and is usually a nightmare to straighten. I was really surprised how easily and quickly they glided through her hair! They left her hair perfectly straight,

Having used my daughters GHD's I decided to purchase some straighteners of my own but did not want to pay the premium GHD price as my hair is not thick but is naturally wavy. I made this purchase based on the reviews plus the reduced price and having used them they are ok, The three heat settings is good, they are easy to use and do not pull on the hair, but they do not make my hair look shiny and healthy like the GHD's did, in fact it feels quite dry and dull. The design is great for curling though because they are slightly rounded on the outside and they do heat up quickly - plus you get a mat to rest them on. Overall they are just ok,

Bought these as a gift for my Mum after her previous hair straighteners gave up the ghost. These looked perfect because they’re a good size and are her favourite colour!I’m happy to report that she is over the moon with these straighteners. She’s told me that they heat up very fast, they get very hot and straighten her hair ten times faster than her previous straighteners! What more could you want?The nice thing about these is that they come with a lovely little travel bag to take them away with you.In summary: Very good straighteners that sounds a fantastic job and look lovely!

This my second pair of these straighteners, the first pair having been appropriated elsewhere, and they are brilliant, as good as if not better than, GHD's. There are three heat settings up to 230 deg and the middle one is perfect for my fine but plentiful hair. The useful heat mat / storage case is a great improvement on that supplied with my first pair. This price is a genuine reduction - these straighteners are currently on sale at my local supplier for twice the price. They come with a 5 year guarantee. Highly recommended.

Bought for my wife for her birthday (as requested). She has used them many times and has no complaints.Work really well and straighten hair perfectly.I purchased these in October 18 (less than 4 weeks ago) and the price was £39.99. I was going to purchase again for my daughter for Christmas, however, I won't be. The price is now 54.99.Would be nice from someone from Amazon to explain the reasoning. There may be one. Or is this simply a Christmas hike. Interesting to find out. I won't be purchasing again put it that way.

I have straight hair so don’t use these everyday but they come in handy whenever I need to curl my ends, add some waves or even just straighten out a kink. For my needs they are absolutely great – they heat up quickly, it takes seconds to get the job done and the effects are long lasting.The heat wrap is useful as I can put the straighteners on it when they are hot without damaging the surface and it wraps around the straighteners, which protects them for travel and also keeps them dust free in storage.

I brought these straighters as a quick fix as my GHDs of 3 years broke and guarantee had run out. And after using these straighters I will not be going back to GHD. These are amazing. They have adjustable temperature. Heat up super quick. I have really curly frizzy hair and these straighters are perfect for me. My hairs never been so straight since using these. I would highly recommend these straighters. Save your self the money with expensive 1s and get these. Worth every penny :-)

Amazing straighteners! I've got really thick but damaged hair and these work like a charm! There are three setting on them- one dot which is the lowest heat, two dots- medium and three dots is the hottest and the heat is amazing too! Even on low heat they're really hot, they slide through the hair so easily there's just no effort to it! Babyliss have never failed me. Very happy with these! I hope this was helpful!

Bought these as a replacement for ones I had for ones I had for years and couldn't be happier. Three heat settings available but I find that the second one is enough for my thin hair. Lovely barrel shape and smooth plates make it so easy to both straighten and curl my hair with fairly long lasting results on their own....longer with good product. They heat up really fast too. Oh and the colour is just so pretty!

I really like these straighteners. I have to give them 5 stars because they are perfect for my hair and heat upto 325°. Your hair runs smoothly through the plates and they are noce to hold. I would say they are as good as GHD's. Really easy to use and come with the heat mat which is great if you usually put your straighteners on carpet. Great price, what more could you want from straighteners.

I tripped and fell over these and snapped the hinge when I trod on them last year. Was really keen to get a replacement set but saw they were £75 in sainsburys. Was so pleased when I saw these were in sale. Placed order Sunday afternoon recieved 13.10 on Monday (the following day). Very impressed with the speed of service from Amazon Prime.
