These are amazing! I was wanting straighteners that i would be able to use to curl my hair with and at first the payent didnt go through for th item then i decided i didnt want it and then i found out the payment had gone through, but i don't regret it.Previously i have been using my mothers straighteners, she used to have babyliss ones which broke and then got Remington straighteners which were amazing. The link in the wiring fell loose with those a few years later compelling my mum to get S9500 Pearl straighteners which were even better. That is the reason I decided to get these.The only difference is that when you start the pearl straighteners it beeps with each button press,

I have had a pair of GHD's for years and years which I loved, but the cable finally went and was unsafe so I decided on these after reading reviews on both here and [retailer]. I can honestly say that these do my hair in less time than my GHD's took and they were great!! I take no more than 5 minutes to style my hair with these and they leave my hair super shiny and straight. I used to have a set temp of 230 degrees on the GHD's but these do my hair beautifully at 190 degrees and I will try even lower temps to test them out. I also love the way the cable swivels either way for storage and use, the cable is a good length and they heat up very quickly indeed.

I've been using GHDs for years and I have very thick curly hair, but these are just as amazing, I love them! And I love the price! I really like that it has the adjustable heat setting, as this allows further control over the amount of heat damage that I want to expose my hair to. They're a lovely colour, as seen on the image. They are ideal for travel, as although they are not travel-size, you can lock them shut in place. They also come with a heat sleeve to be stored in, which I also rest mine on when straightening my hair. They do heat up quickly, but they do not inform you when they are fully heated, which is slightly annoying. I have also found that they leave a very distinct smell on my hair,

Really pleased with these straighteners! I had some babalis ones which are as hold as the hills & teenage daughter & son kept nicking them but they lasted forever, up until recently & it wos taking forever to straighten my hair. My hair is ubove my shoulders so when i ordered these i thought the extra wide plates maybe abit clumsy on short hair but on the contrary! They glide through my hair & have it straight within minutes, & it lasts all day, I'm left with shiny healty hair. The different heat settings are good & it's good you can't accidentally turn them off unlike my old pair which had The on/off button on top. I had a technical question about the floating plate & i just like to say they were brilliant to speak to ,

These straighteners were bought to replace the ones I had previously... which WAS these straighteners! I have very thick, curly hair and used to spend so much money buying straighteners like GHD and products to stop my hair frizzing and curling after it was styled. So, my GHDs needed replacing and thought I'd try something different, so did some browsing and persuaded myself to try these for the wider plates and heat goes up to 230 degrees (which you can also set heat to what you need for your hair) and saw some other good reviews on them and yes they straightened my hair with ease and kept straight all day - miracle for my hair! I used them everyday for a year and a half and they stopped working properly,

Bought these after doing some research. I checked prices read product reviews and weighed up my options. The price swayed me tbh I thought to myself it's better to spend £30 instead of £100+ compared to other high market brands. Used them for the first time before going out for the eve usually not my greatest idea after washing/blow drying my naturally curly, frizz prone hair. I'm lucky if it stays straight for an hour! Anyway found that these straighteners warmed up quickly as promised, the ceramic plates glided through my hair with ease and the best part is that it's stayed straight through to the next day after sleeping on it (usually find kinks and flicks)

I initially purchased this item over 5years ago before they finally died but because they were brilliant on my long, extremely thick hair I did not need to look for another product. It was a no-brainer to buy these very straighteners again and can still say i love this item.Definitely the best hair straighteners iv EVER used (have tried GHDs & many other brands but never been satisfied).Brilliant for straightening/ smoothing and also very good for curling hair. They heat up very quickly and heat settings can be adjusted in a matter of seconds.Highly recommended for people with long, thick hair.Excellent value for money. I have nothing bad to say about these hair straighteners.

Eventually found the best straighteners for my hair. Have used GHD'S in the past and they didn't make a dent on it. I now have poker straight hair. To give you an idea of how good these are, it takes my proffessional hair salon 4 hours to do my highlights - just the highlights and I have shoulder length hair so it's incredibly thick. My old GHDS would take forever to get through my hair and wouldn't make it smooth and manageable but these do. Nice thick smooth plates that glide through my hair with such heat that I don't need to go over it again. Great I can adjust the heat too. Fast heat up. Long cord. Locking handles and comes with a heat mat. Perfect!

Excellent product, highly recommended. My hair is thick and I have lots of hair so is usually very difficult and time consuming to get straight. The Remington S5525 straightener is the best shop. Their plates are really wide compared to my previous straightener and it makes a lot easier to get my hair straightener. I used 210ºC and it was perfect. In addition, I notice a bright finish on my hair... not sure if it was for the straightener of by the heat protector with keratin that I used but I really love the finish that I reach. Better that in salon.I highly recommend this product!

Bought this as my old remington straighteners broke. I had to get a new one asap as didn't want to be seen outside with horrible hair lol. I bought this as i wanted to try wider plates for a change and i have quite thick long hair. Im quite surprised at how good it is and it definitely is quicker to straighten my hair now than before. It does gave a burnt smell when i first used it but thats gone now. My hair has become dry at the moment but i dont know if its due to the use of these straighteners. But overall i totally recommend this product specially for those with thicker hair

My sixteen year old daughter loves these. She has struggled for years with the long thin type ones but these straighteners heat up super fast. They straighten quickly and smoothly and she even went out in the rain after using them and for the first time in her life. Her hair stayed straight. she literally couldn't believe it. This has never happened to her before !!!! These straighteners are wonderful. They thoroughly deserve all the good reviews we have read about them. Love love love them to pieces. Hair is smooth and silky after straightening (and stays that way!) and it almost always works in one stroke. After my ghd broke down right after the warranty expired (how convenient) I decided that if the expensive ones are that bad I might as well go with a cheap one. So far it is working great: you can adjust the heat, the cable is long enough (though a bit stiff) and it comes with a heat resistant pouch. I honestly can't say if the big plates make a difference to smaller ones and I doubt it but its not a disadvantage. Really good value for money.

Bought for my daughter and now my other daughter and I have both ditched our skinny straightners for these. We have thick hair that just wants to frizz and with these the job is done quickly and people have said for the first time in YEARS that my hair looks really healthy. Here I am worrying about frying it on 190 degrees ( you can turn it hotter) and people think my hair looks in good condition. Well I never! Going to buy another pair for my daughter for when she goes to uni so that should be recommendation enough. No regrets at all!

Love these straighteners! My GHD's recently broke, with it being close to Christmas I couldn't afford to replace them with new ones. After reading reviews I decided to replace them with these Remington ones and they are brilliant!! Better than GHD in my opinion and a lot cheaper too. Love the wide plates, they straighten my thick hair in no time, glide so easily through my hair and don't pull at all like my GHD's sometimes did. The design is nice and modern with the digital display too. Would 100% recommend

My hair texture is quite coarse and thick, I have recently tried T3 one pass and GHD straighteners, but they just don't do a good enough job. Their temp is set to an "optimum" point which just doesn't smooth out my hair and I have to run over my hair about 5 times on first go and then again the following day. However these straighteners give me a smooth finish in 2 passes and I don't really need to touch up until next wash. I'm impressed especially at this price point as compared to other expensive brands.
