Was sick of my Ghd's frying my hair so wanted something with variable temperature control. Also didn't want something too cheap. Came across these new straighteners and the reviews sounded fab plus they come with a whopping 4 year guarantee! They look funky and come with a heat protection tube. The button on the side isn't easy pressed so you don't need to worry about the settings being changed mid styling. Five heat settings but no3 is enough for my fine curly hair. They are so comfortable to hold and they don't feel hot to touch unlike my ghd's. Quick to heat up and turn off if you leave them on accidentally. Nice long cord too. They glide easily through your hair as well. Love them!

i usually go for GHD's but my last pair have only lasted 2 years so i decided to try something different, these are good but take a little getting used to, i had on the 5th setting which is the hottest and nearly frazzled my hair as way too hot, so now have on 3rd one which for my thick long hair is sufficient without causing issues and normally different straighteners do not completely take the kink out of the back of my hair but these do. You have to also ensure you don't put too much hair in in one go as this can cause it to snag and pull, like i said still getting used to them but for the money worth it and am pleased with them

i got these straighteners a few days ago and have used 4 times nowi wear wigs for medical reasons and my current one is quite thick and coarse, used this when it was a bit dried out and it straightened well, used after washing and my hair was smooth, sleek and very straight, just what i wanted! it does give off a strange smell like burning TCP but i'm sure that'll go away when it isn't quite so new, the straighteners aren't heavy to use, the plates glide through my hair well and overall i am happy with my purchase

I needed a pair of straighteners after my 10yr old GHDs blew up n frazzled a chunk of my hair.My hair is very damaged, frizzy, fine n wavy hair, so wanted some I can control the temperature on, I use 3 lights 190degrees on damaged T section & 4 lights 210degrees on the rest. They close softly, brilliantly balanced & glide over my hair with the floating plates. Love them sooo much more than my GHDs that are stuck to a very high temperature, would definitely not go back to them now. Well worth it.

Having really thick hair it's not always easy to find a good set of straighteners, however "Remington you have made my day". Not only do they look good they have five levels of heat which tackles the thickness with ease. They are great value for money and definitely a great buy. The only thing that I would say that goes against these straighteners is they are slightly heavier than some straighteners, however with a little rest they still make your hair look fab. A definite recommendation to all

I've used plenty of hair straighteners but this 1 Heats up fast and does straighten really well with others I've held the end n pressed them to straighten better n ended up with burnt fingers.with these tho I didn't have to .I did try to see if they were cool on the end like they said they are and they do So no more burnt fingers.I did at 1st wonder if they'd be any good as heated plates don't touch the outside but they are brilliant and a great design.I give these hair straighteners a 10 /10

It makes hair really soft and sleek and the best part is they are not hot to the touch on the outside. I've had issues in the past burning myself numerous times when getting close to my scalp but these ones are still cold on the outside so even curling with them when I have my finger tips on the outside, they are cool to the touch. The only criticism I have is that the cord is just not long enough so when using them at the top of my head, i need to sit down but i would still give them 9.5/10

Was skeptical about these straighteners as they were a bid odd to look at & didn't know if the gaps between the plates would affect use but when using them they just feel like normal straighteners.They have 5 heat settings,u can hold the end of the straighter without it burning u & are easy to curl with especially as they don't pull at your hair.They also have a lock to keep them closed & a cover to put over them when not in use,I really like them in white & think they look really stylish.

I have always used ghd's but when mine stopped working I saw this and thought I would try it. Glad I did. It's better than ghd's and it has different settings for heat. My hair is naturally curly so it's harder to straighten but these work so quickly and when I get up the next morning my hair is still straight. Didn't get this with my others. Fantastic. I also bought the hairdryer as it was in a bundle offer and that is brilliant too. Well done Remington. Don't hesitate to buy.

These will completely straighten even my super curly hair (Portuguese blood, so a little looser than an Afro) in a single pass. The suspended plates style is really good for novices as it’s easier to not burn yourself; hair sometimes slips between the rubber hinge for the plates, which means that that little section won’t be straight.They’re lightweight, useful for straightening while holding your arms up high for a long time.The lock can be a little stiff.

I bought these straighteners when my beloved 9 year old GHDs died on me. I've now used them a few times and I have to say I'm quite impressed. My hair is collar length, lightened and, as woman in my (just about still) mid-forties, is dry and prone to frizziness. It's not thick, but there's a lot of it so I have to straighten it in many layers and this can take ages. These straighteners completely take care of that. Would recommend.

My straighteners stopped working suddenly (popular brand), ones I've owned for many yrs. Looked through the many online and narrowed down to these. First time using they glided through my hair effortlessly. Very easy to use. Different heat settings would be useful but I have thick strong hair so highest used and wonderful results. Now realise my old straighteners were working less effectively! Highly recommend these.

My wife is really impressed with these straighteners - they warm up very quickly, and do a great great job of straightening her hair. The one really good feature is the fact that unlike standard straighteners, these have multiple heat settings, and as my wife has quite fine hair, having a lower heat option is great, as it minimises the risk of damage to her hair - well done Remington for thinking of this !

I originally bought these to use while travelling as I recently left my ridiculously expensive ghd's in a hotel. I had read good reviews so thought I'd give them a go.I was massively impressed. Heats up quickly, the plates are really good. It takes a while to get used to not feeling the tugging feeling on your hair.Results were just as good and ghd

Great straighteners, comfortable to hold and cool tips... so no more burnt fingertips, especially when doing back of hair. The air plates glide effortlessly over hair, there's no dragging or kinking. My hair felt super smooth and looked great. With 5 heat settings this is even suitable for dry/damaged or unruly hair. Great straighteners and kind to hair.
