This jacket is not as large as the reviews are making out, I ordered a Large and am a 42" chest, it fits perfectly and with plenty of room for a big thick jumper under it, I doubt very much if a jumper will be needed though as it's realy realy warm, the outer pockets are all fleece lined as is the hood, I would think that this coat will be good for -10c or even lower as it's so well padded.Couldn't comment on the waterproof capabilitys but the material looks as though it will be well capable of handling some rain.Amendment >I know it's realy not cold enough to wear this coat yet but as it was chucking it down (and I mean bouncing) I decided to go for a walk in it and it rained all the time on a 3 mile walk,

This coat is of the best possible quality imaginable. It has a wealth of features - too many in-fact - you could get a week's shopping in all the pockets and not notice they were full! It's totally waterproof and very warm - too warm really for the kind of weather we are now getting in the UK because of global warming. It's very generously sized too and I would definitely go along with other reviewers when they advise going down a size.Its only let down is the silly detachable fur around the hood. If you want to tighten the cords to close the hood, because the fur is detachable, it just loops up and leaves big gaps.

I purchased this coat for a trip to the Lake District in late October this year. It was delivered 4 days earlier than stated. That's a good thing. I've unpacked it and it seems to be very well made. Materials are durable, look good, and the attention to detail is second to none. The zip fastenings seem strong, and the popper closures are also good quality. There are pockets everywhere. At least three inside the coat, (maybe more, I've put it away and can't be bothered to go and check), six outside, and pockets on each sleeve for pens etc. Drawstrings for the hood and waist hold everything snug, and the cuffs are also adjustable. I purchased the large size and it fits me perfectly. I'm a 44 chest.

Ok, I am taking a risk here, reviewing this item without wearing it outside. However, it has just arrived and appears well made. Having read the reviews thoroughly, being a slim but not skinny build with a modest 40/41" chest, I ordered a "small". Now bear in mind that there are millions of blokes in Britain my size and we normally buy "medium" in shirts and coats, occasionally "large", if the item is Asian size. Well I got it right this time and got "small", which fits very well over a shirt, with plenty of room for a jumper too. You could even fit a thick jumper under this coat but frankly you may not need to because it does seem very warm, especially the cosy hood which is NON-removable,

As soon as this coat touched my back,the headline was written!! Might sound optimistic, but I am pretty sure both things would be covered!!. The coat is First Class,and a little more!! After reading the reviews, I decided to leave my normal XL,and buy size L. It's perfect! I will just add,if you feel you must pad up,then get the XL or even XXL, but honestly,why,oh why, would you want to pad up under this coat? I may just get a sweat shirt under mine, but I will quite confidently state, I will trek the frozen wastelands,with just my usual T- Shirt under mine!! Trust me,the coat is amazing!!! Came quickly,superbly packed, and as a bonus, it looks fantastic!!! It's....The Dogs!!!***** And I couldn't be happier!!

Amazing quality for the price (£88). I was looking at a similar jacket by North Face priced at around £250 but I'm so glad I took a chance on this. Was almost a bit put off by reviews talking about sizing issues but it's perfect. I'm 6ft and pretty broad, ordered an XL and it's a great fit. Room enough to wear a jumper or hoody but warm enough I usually just have on a t shirt. Keeps out extreme cold, wind and rain. If it's a mild day it might get a bit sweaty walking around in it. Can't fault it at all on function and it's a good looking jacket as well with lots of nice details on closer inspection. Delivery was also a few days sooner than expected which was a bonus. Highly recommended.

I am absolutely delighted with this jacket - I was in a real dilemma regarding size because there are no outlets where you can find Geogrpahical Norway coats to try on. I'm a 42 Chest and 36 waist and usually go for large but there was an incredibly helpful reviewer on here who outline all the sizes. I was going to buy medium but the fact of the matter was there weren't any available so I took a chance on large (free postage and returns so why not) and it's just right./ I might have got away with a medium but I think large is the right size for me especially if it's ever cold enough to warrant a jumper - which today it is! Great jacket and highly recommended.

Great coat and I am really pleased I got it. It feels substantial and it is very warm to wear. It also feels like a quality item too and well made. I am 5'8" (and a bit) and 16 stone (102kgs approx) and the arm length is perfect as is the overall length - comes down to top of my thighs. There is enough room for you to wear a thick knit jumper underneath but you would probably only need a t-shirt, even in very nippy weather; which means that the XL for someone my size gives a little room and does not hug you (the X may have been a little too snug), which suits me down to the ground. I have no hesitation in recommending this coat.

I am normally an XL in coat tried this on today (bought an XL ) and only had Shirt on underneath so was very moderately to big . This would be fine with a standard jumper underneath or a fleece. UPDATE ..have returned the XL as it's extra size is just a tad to much for even my well built frame and looks a bit large BIGGY Smalls gansta ..I would suggest one size down from your normal size .Waterproof , Windproof & Warm , well made with some nice styling touches brand logos etcFair price- not cheap not expensive but about right for the quality /materials used .I would recommend this coat 100 % but be aware of sizing .

Ordered a large at first after reading all the comments about the jacket being too big. Had to send back as too short on the arms. Being 6ft 3, 36 waist, 46 chest, the XL fits perfectly and still allows for a jumper underneath.Cannot stress enough incredibly warm this jacket is. I've been out in negative temperatures with just a tshirt underneath and still comfortably warm. Well waterproofed, been caught out in the Scottish rain a few times with it and the jacket has held up well.All in all, a fantastic jacket and much more affordable alternative to Canada Goose. Highly recommend.

I love this Parka. Great quality and feels super warm. The only problem though is the size. It’s too big for me so returning for correct size. I’m just under 6ft which is 1.81m, I’m a 38 inch chest and weigh 12 stone which is 76kg or 168 pounds and the Medium is way too big. I should have listened to previous reviews stating this.Again no question about the quality of this jacket, I love it. Just take my statistics into consideration and order a small if yours are similar. Will definitely buy this brand again.

The coat is made exceptionally well. It is very warm and has many pockets for storage. It even has a secret zipped pocket at the back of the coat that would be great for putting bank notes and your bank card in and nobody would know, unless you told them.In today's market where the price of everything is going up and up it's hard to find something reasonably priced, this coat is reasonably priced and is good quality, obviously i'll know just how good it is when it gets to winter.

This coat is much better than I expected. I could go on about how well made it is, how good the material, but I won't.. As the title indicates, I am really pleased with this coat, the advert does not do it justice. Judging by the quality of the material and stitching, it will be a robust coat without being too restrictive, and very warm.To sum up, this is a excellent coat I would recommend without reservation. Buy with confidence.

the zip seems a little fiddly and flimsy. I'd have prefered a metal one. or at least a metal foot or whatever that bit you slide in first is called.Other than that it is excellent. All the reviews are spot on. Surprisingly heavy till you put it on. Slightly oversized but should work out with a jumper on underneath. Not that you'd need a jumper with this on. quality materials. More pockets than a snooker table.

EVEN IF YOU DISREGARD THE BARGAIN PRICE I PAID FOR THIS IT IS AN EXTREMELY WELL MADE PARKA .HAVING BOUGHT IT IN A HOT SUMMER I'VE NO IDEA HOW GOOD IT WILL BE IN THE WINTER BUT FROM THE WEIGHT & MATERIALS USED I WOULD HAZARD A GUESS IT WILL BE EXCELLENT.IN COMPARISON I HAVE ANOTHER PARKA WHICH COST CONSIDERABLY MORE BUT THIS ONE (GEO/NORWAY) SEEMS AT LEAST IT'S EQUAL.
