A great looking fully breathable field jacket with a very flattering fit. The only thing that really lets it down for me is the terrible choice of black synthetic leather for the zipped hood compartment. On a sand coloured jacket it just looks out of place, tacky and ugly. I really wish they had just used a sand colour to match the colour of the jacket. I ended up cutting the hood out and folding the collar down just to hide the black strip. I find that it looks much better now and plan to permanently leave it that way. It would have been nice to also use it as a standing collar, but to do that I might have to learn some sewing skills just to replace that eye sore of a black strip.The other version of this jacket (with the removable lining)

If you are looking for a M65 style jacket that doesn't look like a baggy ,heavy , badly fitting mess, this is definitely the one. Definitely go for a size up from your normal one, as others have also commented. I'm normally a size Large and the XL is a perfect fit. It's really well constructed, nice stitching and detail, thick but soft canvas type material, good square shoulders and nicely tailored fit without being tight, inner waist cord to tighten up the middle. Zipped away hood in the collar is a useless bit of green nylon, but then most are so no suprises there. It's rugged enough to wear in winter with layers underneath and light enough to wear in summer with just a shirt/Tshirt. Perfect,

First off, the jacket isn't as 'rugged' as the picture, but that's ok, it's a nice, clean looking lightweight jacket, perfect for fall. I'm 6'5 200 lbs and the xl fit perfect, the sleeves are nice and long, and it's in a slimmer style. It's a very nice quality jacket, and if you like them baggy, I'd say go up a size.For those wondering, there is one pocket on the inside of the jacket, but the pocket is near the bottom of the jacket, not chest level like most inside pockets are.Even though it said I'd receive this jacket within a month, it actually came in 4 days, so don't be worried about the long wait for the jacket, they ship promptly

I’m 5’8, 70Kg and 38” chest. I wasn’t sure whether to order the small or medium size but I’m pleased I went for the small as it’s a perfect fit. This version doesn’t have the faux military badges and stripes that the other similar one has with the removable lining. I like the idea of the removable lining but I defo didn’t want the badges. The lining is sewn in on this one. My other Brandit jacket has been well used and it’s as good now as it was new. These jackets have a washed in worn look to them from new but they are rugged and well made with string zips and seams. looking forward to wearing this autumn and winter.

So, as everyone is saying in the reviews, buy at least one size up from what you usually wear. I'm a Medium and ordered a Large. It's pretty much a perfect fit, not too constricting and can wear a jumper underneath without losing mobility. The jacket looks smart (though a bit creased on arrival) and the material feels great. There's a singular inside pocket with a velcro fastening so you won't lose anything you keep in there.The only reason that this jacket has lost 1 star is the large number of loose threads around the button areas. I'm going to have to cut them all off myself unfortunately.

Nice jacket, well made and will definitely improve with age (don't we all?!)Being French-made, it's very small across the chest and shoulders (it's the same with French shirts; men there aren't the same shape as us Brits!)To get this jacket to fit you if you have shoulders broader than your hips (which you will if you're not a Frenchman) go for a size larger than normal.With every other manufacturers' jackets, I'm a 'Large', but this needs to be an 'Extra Large' - the only problem will be (when it arrives) is the sleeves will be massively loooooooong. Not really a problem, though.

I'm 6'1" and I weigh 150 lbs. I ordered the Olive color in a large. I'm usually skeptical about ordering clothing of any type online because of sizing issues but this jacket fits great. My only complaint is the excess string on the buttons and almost all of the seams. Kind of expected better quality control from a German made product. A picture from one of the sellers showed a sherpa type lining but there is no lining whatsoever. Either way it's a great, lightweight jacket. Very happy with my purchase.

Runs rather small. I'm 5'-7", 155 lb. and bought a size MED. It's kind of tight in the armpits and might be somewhat uncomfortable to wear with anything other than a single T-shirt underneath... Other than that, the material, stitching, styling, etc. are all great. If my wishes could really be heard and fulfilled, I'd suggest that this jacket be equipped with larger outside pockets and at least one large "map pocket" on the lining inside the left breast.

The large size fits perfectly on my 180 pound 5'10" frame. Slightly snug, the jacket tapers at the waist and has a great look. If you wear something heavy under the jacket, consider a size larger, but the best thing for me is a light shirt under the jacket to keep the fitted look. Lots of small details make for an interesting fashion statement. I bought the first jacket in black (my favorite) and another in the green, I liked it so much.

I am really disappointed with the negative reviews because although yes, you do need to order a size up from your usual size (which you would know if you read the comments before purchasing), the quality of the jacket is excellent. Even the material used feels soft yet is rugged and it just looks cool if you ask me. Definitely don't be put off by the 4.4 stars because the size issue aside, it's easily a 4.5 or a 4.6 in my opinion.

This is the most amazing jacket I've ever owned. Prior to owning this jacket I was unable to repair the most simplest house hold items. Since I started wearing this jacket I am now able to single handedly separate small atomic particles as well as take pi to the 85th digit. For all you struggling men out there, I would recommend getting your self several of these jackets and you can thank me later when your life improves.

Arrived on time and after trying it on was glad to say it fits as was worried with the other reviews about sizes.Im 5'10 and slim to average build 32 waist and ordered a large.Will do the job but one thing I will say it's not as thick or warm as I thought it would be.Bought it for the winter months and going to the football and will be wearing a light bodywarmer underneath I think.

Pretty nice jacket. As others have noted most should buy a size up. Normally a standard large, I ordered the extra-large and am glad I did. Even so its not overly roomy so if I tried to get a bulky sweater under it the fit would be tight. This is a light-to-medium weight jacket for cool but not cold days. It came very quickly and I'm totally satisfied with the purchase.

Very nice rugged looking jacket. Great for casual/weekend wear.At the advice of some other reviewers, I initially ordered a large based on hearing that this jacket runs small. Mine most certainly did not - a large (which is my normal T-Shirt size) is much too baggy. Although I tend to prefer a more Euro-styled fitted look than many of my fellow Americans do.

Lovely coat, delivered quickly and packaged well. The coat is well made, rugged and warm but some of the sizing comments are misleading suggesting ordering a size up from normal. I ordered XL and it was far too big so am returning but will definitely be reordering a smaller size. Great quality, great looking coat at a great price. Brandit is a quality brand.
