Having read multiple negative reviews of various flymo models, I was more than a little hesitant to purchase this one, I needn't have worried! Excellent buy and with a free trimmer, at this price it's fantastic. There is no grass box viewer so you have to guess when it needs emptying, however, you can see the grass start blowing out on to the lawn when it's full so no real problem. Also you soon start to gauge how much grass it will take.Compared to my dads 30+ year old petrol flymo, this does not hover. It does in fact do what it's name suggests - glide. This means it is not quite as easy to move around when the garden is uneven but our garden is about as uneven as you could get (working on it)and it easily copes. Also the grass was approx 30" high in places when I bought this and as long as I took it in reasonable size strips, there was no problem with the grass bending and not being cut.The trimmer is also more capable than I would have credited when I initialy took it out of the box.I have never bought from Argos before as I have always found a better price online till now. This was the cheapest price and local so no wait for delivery.Overall I am extremely pleased with the purchase and wouldn't hesitate to reccommend it.I have approx 90' rear garden and a 40' front

I expected this item to be bulky as it "looks" like it would be but it actually fitted where my much smaller lawn mower used to fit which pleased me a great deal!It is SO much quicker to set up and use than my other mower as the handle just snaps into place and folds down with a bit of pressure instead of messing with wing nut tightening screws. It is VERY lightweight compared to my other mower and with it floating on air it can go side to side if needs be. My other mower had wheels so was hard to manouevur and also left wheel marks on the grass especially if the grass was a bit wet/muddy.The only thing I did not like about this mower is it advises to only use a max of two spacers for a healthy lawn yet it gives you three. Two spacers leaves the grass a bit longer than I would have liked to leave it but I am afraid of using the three spacers to cut it much shorter because of the warning on lawn health.I like the fact it has a metal blade as that means it does not snap every stone that it hits.I would like the blade to be a bit closer to the edge of the mower as there is a whole area that the mower "cannot get to" which then needs to be cut with a strimmer or suchlike.

The purchase of this Flymo and Strimmer combination has turned out to be the best value for money quality item, that I have made.It knocks spots off my previous self propelled petrol Mower for ease of use, quickness and great cut.I have found it to be great for cutting uneven ground, which I guess most peoples lawns are with out having to stop and alter the blade levels as on the Mowers I have had before, this just glides over the lawn and cuts it great..Having the Strimmer as well completes the ease of which you can complete the whole job, being able to cut those awkward bits where the Mower wont get i:e edges and thin areas of grass.I myself find that if i strim the awkward bits first and then just rake the the loose grass into the area to be mowed then the Mower will collect this into its grass box at the same time as Mowing those areas. All in All 5 out of 5 for Quality, Reliability, and Ease of Use

I was being overwhelmed by lawnmower and strimmer products so finally plumped for this to solve my problem. I have no idea if it was a good deal, but it saved me any more thinking time. Firstly it comes in 2 boxes, so don't forget to ensure you get both of them. Secondly the lawnmower handle folds back which means the box is small enough to fit in the boot of a Nissan Micra. Phew. Thirdly the strimmer cable broke twice within the first 10 mins of use but I'm gathering this was probably due to user error, not a deficient product, and is something that happens. Both were light and easy enough to start, stop and handle, and seemed to do the grass cutting job they were meant to.So well done all round.

This combo was a good purchase. Price was excellent and I unpacked it from the boxes and plugged it in and started using it straight away - no self assembly. The mower cuts through most thicknesses of grass, it is very manoeuvrable and the collection box is simplicity itself. The trimmer is not as good in that it is quite heavy to use and does not come with a harness. The wire cutter needs to be extended every five to ten minutes, and it tends to mash the tall grass rather than cut. It has a problem with edging and corners too.Overall, for small gardens like mine, this combo will keep things tidy with a minimum of effort every weekend. I would definitely recommend it.

i bought this as our petrol mower finally broke. i love this mower as i could never use the petrol mower as it was too heavy and hard to start. i did two cuts at different heights and was really impressed with how easy it was to use. this is the first time in 3 years i have actually seen the sides of my garden lol and the grass has been so short and neat! i have not used the strimmer yet so i cant say what it is like....for the price this is a great buy! the only thing i would say is a bit of a pain is the small basket...but i was cutting alot of grass and now it is nice and short there wont be so many trips to empty it :)

I took it out of the box, plugged it in and used it. My grass was long but it sailed through it. It is lightweight so easy to use. I have read reviews where it stated that the collection box was not very good but I found it great and easy to empty. I looked at the larger models in the range but am glad that I bought this one.The handle folds over so stows away beautifully. The free strimmer was an added bonus and again lightweight and easy to use.I looked at lots of mowers and am pleased with my purchase. My lawn looks wonderful and so would recommend this lawn mower as an excellent buy.

If you have a medium sized garden, then this combo is hard to beat for the value. Contrary to some of the negative reviews, the mower doesn't spread grass too much, as long as you push it in a straight line (read the instructions, they are clear about this), and the Trimmer is more than adequate, and fit for purpose. I'm thoroughly pleased with the purchase, and would recommend to friends and family alike. A tip is to make sure you squeeze the handle together when folding, otherwise the plastic will tear easily, although this has no negative impact on the operation if you do, like I did.

Our main lawn is uneven and on a slope and for years I've used a hand push cylinder mower, which is great for the job, but takes a while to get done. With increasing family commitments I needed to find a way to save time, so opted for this based on recommendations from gardening forums. It provides a clean cut, is relatively lightweight, not too noisy and takes ages to fill the grass box. It's easy to keep clean and the handle folds down so doesn't use up too much space in storage. The power cable is a decent length too.For the money this is great - time will tell if it's reliable.

Had reason to replace a mower that had burned out - best thing I ever did. The machine is light to carry and easy to use. Comes fully assembled, no fussy instructions - unpack, plug-in and away. ONLY negative is that the strimmer did not get picked as part of the package. I walked all the way back to the car thinking it was in the box - it wasn't. There is a seperate code that has to be entered so the warehouse pick the strimmer. Thankfully the manager at my local store was on the ball - thank you Thurrock Retail!!

The lawnmower although very light to use is sturdy and totally efficient, even on longer grass. The flex, being integral instead of you having to attach it by a flimsy plug is reassuring and is long enough to cover my fairly large garden with ease. The trimmer is also very light and efficient but is a little too short to be used comfortably by someone who is 6 ft.Good value and a tiring job made easier! One small moan... collection box is a bit wee-made almost double the amount of trips I usually do to empty it.

I bought this to replace the old Flymo and the first thing I noticed was how much lighter it was, making it very easy to use and maneuver. It has three heights for the blade which is adjusted using the plastic washers. The cut itself is nice and close, but the real difference maker for me was that the basket doesn't get clogged up (major fault with the old one). Whatever Flymo have done it seems to make a difference as it compacts a lot into a (very small) basket. Great, but not for large lawns.

After 3 years of using a manual push mower on my small garden I was getting frustrated. Decided to invest in a small electric Flymo to save my back and it was one of the best decisions I’ve made. For the price I expected lower quality but it took less than 10 mins to mow my lawn (compared with 30 mins+ and a lot of swearing usually). Only had to empty it twice and it’s dinky enough that it takes up very little space in my crowded shed. Only downside is that the cable is about 5m too short for me

I bought a flymo because I’ve had one before but this model is different to the ‘easy mo’ I think it was that I had before. This newer one has handles that you have to have on the lowest position to push it forward easily, which is a killer for my back. So I’m constantly having to bend every time I want to move forward. If I don’t the mower just gets stuck on the uneven ground of my crappy non perfect garden. So basically anyone who isn’t 4ft tall is gonna have to bend down real low to move it

Bought it last weekend. At first sight it looked a bit flimsy and light - lighter than my last Flymo. However I could push it around my uneven lawn one handed & it is light and easy to use. It cut well and picked up the grass and leaves without trouble. It is an Easyglide mower and it did what I want a mower to do.Emptying it is very easy but I would not want to be too rough with the lid, as I am not sure how strong it is. Grass box is a little small.Hope it lasts 10 yrs like my last one.
