NEW UPDATE (after 5 months usage)So after not working very well we left it for a couple of weeks then did a few checks. Made sure the batteries were full the key was locked into the on position (after recharging and leaving it for a coile of weeks hanging in the garage) and all looked good so we gave it a few more goes and it’s actually been fine. So I’m not sure what the issue was before but if you have this issue my advice is take out the batteries, plug them back into the charger and try from the start again, i.e turn everything off and restart! Rather like a computer! Still cuts great and is very light and is still very useful for the garden,as well as our 12-year-old can cut the lawn again with this safely (probably the best bit about getting it working again!). Still a star off for not being 100% reliable!UPDATE: after three months of regular use and no problems at all, the batteries now won’t hold a charge. We tried charging overnight and (although it still said it was a full charge) the mower keeps turning off like the power is not enough. Not enough to even do one strip! No acceptable in a less than 6 months old product.Original review; We have a petrol lawnmover which we've used for years. We've been happy with it... I say 'we'... I can barely lift it or use it so when this came up, I was really keen to try it out.First off, it's tiny. Really petite! Against the big petrol mower, it looks like a baby! BUT, that's what makes it so easy to use. It's so light I can move it with one arm. I can lift it and push it up slopes - even without a motor to help and I can operate it too! Now I don't want people to think I'm completely inept at operating machines, but the petrol one is so confusing. Some spring, I've forgotten which bit what goes in and where the oil has to be filled up to. I don't know if it's about to run out of petrol and then it starts smoking. So this is a welcome relief - no smoke for one and it's just so easy to use. You press a button and pull the handle. The batteries are great and lasted easily for a lawn... the first time. The second time, after charging them fully, it struggled to compete the lawn and I have to wait a bit till I’d charged them again. So if you have a large lawn (ours is quite big) maybe consider that. That’s really the only area is loses a star for me.It has height settings like other lawnmowers and it's easy to empty. I can do that one handed too!I think it's easier to get to the hard to reach spots with this because it's smaller, but I also do appreciate that it's hard to cut the lawn for the first time now with lots of long grass. However, it coped pretty well and I'm happy. I think it's a great little machine. Ok - if you've got a huge garden or if you're not someone who does lots of mowing then maybe this isn't right for you. It definately does better on dry grass (but that’s the same for any lawnmower)I think it's perfect for anyone smaller, with less strength, a slope or a shed far away from the lawn, steps or any other things like that which make it hard to lug about a heavy mower.I’ve got a photo of how nice it makes stripes on setting 3 (still fairly high but good for a first cut) but I can’t add it for some reason! Anyhow - cuts well and does stripes!

This is a nicely-designed, good quality mower.Assembly is fairly straightforward, with only putting the grass-catcher together a little awkward. The EasiStore feature means the mower can be folded up to quite a compact size, or can be stood up vertically if you prefer. It's pretty neat.Setting the mower up for use is quick and easy, with quick-release clips on the bottom of the handle, and screw-handles in the middle. Once assembled, the mower is sturdy and doesn't flex about unpleasantly.Cutting height is adjusted by a handle at the front left side, which raises both the front and rear wheels. Some hand strength is required to raise the height against the resistance of the spring, but once raised it locks itself into place easily enough. The cord is not detachable, and while it wraps neatly around the middle of the handle if you store the mower standing up, if you double-fold the handle, the cable storage is not so good, so standing up is the way to go. The cord length is okay, but I have to pair it with an extension cable to cover the whole of the lawn, and I suspect you might have to as well. I'm not complaining, as the cord would start becoming unmanageable if it were much longer.Cutting action is pretty good. There's a good "vacuum" action from the blade, so cuttings and debris is drawn up into the grass collector very well. The roller action is okay, but it's not a heavy mower, so don't expect miracles. The grass-collector has a tight seal with the mower, and collects grass perfectly well. There's a two stage switch to activate the power, with a centre button that needs to be pressed, then an ambidextrous power grip lever. I found it was very easy to cut the power by releasing my grip only slightly on the lever, but tightening my grip reactivated the power without needing to press the centre button again. I found the lever required a bit too much of a tight grip by my hand than would be ideal. It's okay in use and I dare say I'll get used to it, but if you have trouble with your grip, it's something to consider before purchase. This mower is pretty noisy in use, and the motor doesn't *seem* spectacularly strong, but it does the job on a less than perfect lawn. Mower manoeuvrability is excellent, helped by good wheels and light weight. As a compact, easy to store mower for smaller lawns, (this is now my front lawn mower) this is a nice mower, and seems to me to be a definite step-up in quality from the sub-£100 small mowers. I'd like to see the power lever improved, and a quieter motor, but all in all, I like it.

The mower came almost fully assembled - just had to put the handle and grassbox together then attach the handle to the machine. All fairly easy, with the exception of the grassbox. While not really difficult, it is a bit fiddly as the two halves (which simply clip together) are quite flexible until assembled, and you have to get all the clips and lugs lined up correctly before you simply clip it together. Took me a couple of goes to get it right, but once assembled it's quite sturdy. In use, it is light and easy to handle. I like the either-handed power switch/levers as I can take either hand off the controls to manipulate the cable as I go. The grassbox holds a good amount of clippings and attaches quite securely and easily to the mower. It even has a handy little indicator built-in to show when it is getting full. As mowers go, it is also reasonably quiet (probably as there are no gears etc to generate mechanical noise - the blade is simply bolted onto the motor spindle). There is a 5-position cutting height adjuster, comprising a single lever which raises/lowers all four wheels by an equal amount. I have seen other reviews saying this won't stay in any of the higher positions and slips back into position 1 (the lowest) in use. I have had no such issues at all - possibly the mechanism is slightly different on some of the other models (mine is a 34cm corded machine).Cutting results are fine - there is a roller between the rear wheels which does a passable job of creating "stripes" as you mow if that's your preference. The mower is easy to clean after use - just a quick brush over underneath to remove any accumulated clippings. All the above mark it in my book as a good mower, but it has another trick up its sleeve - when you have finished mowing the handles are quickly unlatched, laid flat and then relatched. The whole mower can then be simply stood on end (there is even a stowage hook on the grassbox) so it takes up a very small amount of floorspace in your shed or garage.Negatives? It would be nice to have a slightly longer mains cable. I haven't measured it but it's only just long enough to reach to the far end of our not-very-big lawn. Flymo also claim in their bumf that it can easily be wheeled around in the stowed "small footprint" configuration - in my experience this is only partially true - you can indeed wheel it around but the grassbox will fall off its clever stowage hook if you do.Overall I fully recommend this mower (34cm corded model) for anyone with small-ish lawns.

I'm really impressed with this cordless mower, the first cordless one we've had. My first impressions weren't all favourable, as it was quite hard to put together - for instance there are washers to go over bolts to secure the handles, but it's not obvious which sides of the handles these fit. Assembly took about an hour, which was longer than I had anticipated.Once this one-off job was out of the way, however, things improved massively. The mower is very lightweight which makes it easy to maneouvre; it was quite difficult to do edges with our old mower as it was very heavy to balance over the edge of the lawn, but this one makes it easy. Despite it being lightweight,it's pretty sturdy; the grass container is also large, so you can mow for a surprisingly long time before having to empty it.To mow both our front and back lawns (which admittedly weren't very long) took about half an hour, so the same kind of time as with our old mower, and the batteries lasted this long quite easily; there are four green lights to indicate the battery charge, and there was still one lit after half an hour's constant use. While it wouldn't be great for a huge lawn, it's fine for a small to medium one.One of the two things I like most is how small it folds away; most of the mower fits inside the grass container once it's packed away, and it takes up very little room (perhaps the same as a large briefcase or small suitcase). I also like how even if you leave the batteries in when you put it away in your shed or wherever you store it, there is a plastic key which you can remove, without which the mower can't be used. It's a useful safety and security feature. As might be obvious, I really like this mower a lot. It's small, lightweight, works really well, and is a revelation when using. At some point I may even get used to not having a cable to watch out for; I spent an inordinate amount of time looking round to check where the cable is when using it, but of course there isn't one. Five stars.

First off I have to say I'm shocked how good this lawn mower is, First cut of the year with overgrown damp grass and it cut it without any problems at all, Only a top cut for now just to help it dry then cut again in a few days but it never had any problems at all, For a cordless to cut so well is really amazing. The build quality Is like most Flymo's lightweight and good, its very simple to put together just the handle to attach and put the grass box together, The key to turn it on is a real good idea for extra safety, So even if you push both of the start buttons with the batteries inside it does nothing till you put the orange key in, So no risk to children when its left in unattended,Well as long as you remember to remove the key.As I said at the start the mower cuts amazingly well even on long damp grass, every bit as powerful as a corded mower without the cable getting in the way, Large grass box thats simple to attach and is very light so doesn't make the mower heavy to move around, The handle can be fold over the mower so it take's up less room when stored, Very easy to adjust the cutting height with handle at the front of the mower. As for the batteries they come with a simple charging dock and are easy to put in and remove as they are when put in the mower itself, The batteries lasted without any loss of power when cutting my garden, I'l see how they do as the year goes on and add to the review if anything changes.Overall I can recommend the mower if you prefer a lightweight cordless, My garden is quite small so I can't say how it will work on a larger lawn but It had no problems at all even with long damp grass.

Wow, For a cordless battery operated lawnmower I’m really impressed with the power on this. As it’s battery-powered I was expecting this to be not as good as the electric one, but it’s been fantastic. It’s very easy to put together, charging is really simple and assembly very straightforward. It’s not as heavy as my electric, And also slightly smaller which makes it easier for me to carry (I’m a older lady, So this is important for me).Adjusting the blades is very easy. I’ve just given the grass its first cut of the year and I must say I’m very impressed! I’m also very happy that there are no cables trailing around and hope you don’t have to keep moving them to avoid chopping them in half!!The other bonus is that I don’t need to worry about it being in storage outside.I never used to put my electric mower in the shed just in case damp got into the electrics. Now I don’t need to worry Is long as I keep the whole thing dry I’m not fearful of an electric shock!I have quite a small area of grass so I can only comment on my small garden, So unsure how this would perform if you had a very large area, and how long the battery would last for you.In terms of performance, I see no compromise whatsoever.Actually very impressive!

Flymo Easystore 340 R Li - please note this is not the mower pictured on this page - that’s the corded one. They look similar but the one I reviewed is cordless using lithium batteries (included).Very easy to put together - follow picture instructions, just took a few minutes to realise battery’s were underneath fixed in beside blade. I’ve noted other reviewers found assembly took up to an hour - mine took less than 30 minutes but I followed the pictures and found this easy to do.Grass box parts initially seamed flimsy but when put together it’s solid. This is a lightweight machine in a smart Matt colour,a little noisier than I expected but then it’s a powerful motor and blade. This is the first cordless mower I’ve used - so much easier and no worries about using a breaker or having to be ultra careful not to cut the cord.I’ve used for the first cut of the spring and was impressed with the results. The grass box is a decent size. The mower stores away very compactly which is great - it hardly takes up in any room.I’m very impressed with this mower and happy to give a full 5 stars.

A very good quality mower and nicely designed, was easy to assemble , comes with two batteries that you will have to use them at the same time both of them the batteries has a green light that will indicate the batterie level ,has a orange key ( and a another spare )that can be removed when not using so even if u leave the mower unattended in the garden and take the key out the mower will not work so this is a good idea for safety especially if children are around , has a lever that is easy to use in order to set up how short to trimming your garden from 1-5 , the mower can be folded up neat and easy to storage.Cutting the grass is actually really good and easy ,the mower runs smoothly .The grass box collecting the grass really well leaving a nice and neat grass behind .It easy and safe to operate thanks to dual lever handle . The mower itself looks sturdy and strong but lightweight, functional and a good impression from first use . I like the fact that don't have to worry about any wires and plugs, just focus on cutting the grass , definitely recommend!

Product has proved better than expected. Although made of plastic, it has a solid quality feel. Collection box was a little tricky to assemble, but once done proved solid also.'Have used it once so far, beginning of the season, and the cut was excellent. The omission of any cables was much appreciated when maneuvering around around obstacles/trees in the lawn.I wasn't so concerned about having a build in roller to create stripes, but the presence of the roller makes it easy to cut right up against the edges, whereas a convention 4-wheel mower always runs the risk of falling off the edge and then scalping the grass.Try it and see.I particularly like the way it stores vertically in a stable and compact way.It wasn't until I bought it that I found out that Flymo is now owned by Husqvarna. Two well know and respected Brands.I would highly recommend this product. Even better when the price I paid at Amazon is significantly below the RRP.

I bought this to use at my parents house, they have 3 awkward shaped lawns on different levels, so a corded mower was not an option. Having used a petrol mower for 15 years, I was sceptical how good this would be but am pleased to report it works very well and has plenty of power. These lawns take about 40 minutes after which time it’s still going fine but the battery indicator is down to 1 light from 3, so the 1 hour run time is probably about right. Recharging takes about 2 hours and the batteries hold their charge until I next use it a week later. Build quality is ok, consistent with the price tag, should last years in a private garden but not long in commercial use.Grass collection is first rate and the box is big enough for my needs, I empty it twice in 40 mins mowing time. If I could improve one thing it would be to lower the cut height another 5mm so I didn’t have to cut the lawns so often.

Bought the Corded Version of this. The cable is long but do require additional length from an extension cable. Also a safety cut out cable is useful incase run over the cable! It has steel blades on the mower I thought with it being electric it maybe had plastic but no, so that’s a good feature. It does have 4 different cutting lengths & during COVID19 my lawn had already 7 weeks of growth & The mower had no struggle cutting it on the lowest setting at that too ! Very impressive little mower.Although be aware - the lowest setting does SCALP YOUR LAWN !! My next few cuts I’m going to try it on different height settings.I’ve not yet tried to hand it vertical as I’m waiting on delivery of somebrackets to do that. All in all a good mower and the corded version as mine is isn’t too much of a faf around as I’d thought having previously only had petrol mowers.

I think this is a very good machine for around 100s.y. of lawn. Being so light, I can easily mow in the various places like under trees and bushes, and it cuts well on any grass which hasn't been allowed to get too long or wet! This applies to most mowers anyway!I would suggest that the roller isn't that good, as it accumulates damp grass and mud between the actual roller and the enclosure, and seizes up quite quickly. I might even remove it completely, as I have no need for 'lines' on our lawn!As I'll never see sixty again, or seventy for that matter, I am very pleased to have a mower which is light, has a very efficient cutting action and is easy to store under the bench in the shed.I only need one charge for the twenty-five minutes I need to cut the various areas of lawn, and this mower is definitely up to the job!

I got this as we only have a small area of grass to cut and it works well for us.The design of the mower is nice being light weight at only 8.8 kg and it stores nicely away which is a great change from our bulky mower from previous. The lithium batteries charge simply and they install and remove into the mower with ease. The mower cutting feature is pretty good with a 25-65mm cutting height with 3 spacers so i could choose how long i wanted the grass plus the 30l capacity grass box was all we needed for our little area. The only thing i found was that the cutting blade which is 30cm in width could have done with being a bit longer which stopped me giving this a 5 star.Overall this is reallynice for small areas but i wouldn't use it on a large garden

Purchased on a 'deal day' this has already proved a real time saver when actually mowing the lawn. I normally have to get out an extension cable. Not in the image is a grass topped wall. Not having to worry about the whereabouts of the cable and shifting it away from the mower regularly saved lots of time. No winding of the cable before or after. All good. However, the batteries take quite a while to charge up and it was not possible to do my elderly neighbour's two lawns and mine on one charge. Somewhat disappointing. But, overall, glad I bought the cordless mower. Worth the extra money. As I get older, there is more likelihood of cutting a cable with the blade. No need to worry about that now.The finish is good. See the image and judge for yourself.

I was VERY nervous about buying a cordless lawnmower because as you can see my front and back gardens are fairly large and didn’t know if it would do the back garden which is the biggest alone.I’m VERY pleased to say that one charge does both the front and back!!However that’s only as long as you keep on top of keeping your lawns mowed regularly. If you left the grass to grow too long it would use more battery and you might not get through it all.One bit of advise is to have it on the second lowest setting if you want a short lawn rather than the “lowest” setting as it can scalp the lawn a bit where it’s very close. Also if you are worried about battery life you can buy extra back up batteriesjust encase :)I highly recommend!!
