New Fifa is "in town" and gamers-football fans around the world already put aside any other disc; dribbling, scoring & smashing your controller times are here once again! Since demo was out, we knew that there wouldn't be a huge improvement or any dramatic change that change the same core of the game that made it the most popular football series the last couple of years. We heard a lot the previous months about how building on success in this series may be proved wrong compared to dramatic changes that PES producers decided.Even without the "WOW" changes , Fifa experience remain amazing building a great momentum for new generation's console series. The graphics engine,the sound and the presentation still remain the key aspects of its popularity and this time, small changes in gameplay add to the hype. Changes are visible from day one. Ball physics are better and more realistic, players movement is more difficult but more precise, shooting has never been more variant before and AI is one step forward! Online gaming, multiple modes and continuously updating stats remain of high quality. Also, you will notice Fifa menus changed for the best improving Fifa UI.On the other hand, passing is inaccurate sometimes, especially in times during the 90 minutes that really matters; although some will say, that this differentiates a realistic football game from a game which use ping pong passing to improve gameplay.A huge let down is the lack of Ignite engine in Fifa 14 for Ps3. As a Fifa executive producer has said comparing this Fifa 14 with next generation's game "Put them side by side and play them one after the other, then you realise how vastly different they are. It's remarkable."PROS:+ New, more realistic ball physics+ Shooting variation+ New menus+ Improved AICONS:- Lack of Ignite engine- Inaccurate passingOVERALL:The most realistic football game is this one! The King is NOT dead and there are no signs that can be easily taken out from the first spot in gamers-football fans heart! Fifa series fans may not notice vastly improvements but they will love it, since its built on previous success with additions that improve the overall experience. I buy Fifa year on year. It's pretty much the only game I will buy on release for full price, because I play it so much.I thought Ultimate Edition would have the Addidas team but it doesnt. Only some kits and celebrations that you can buy from the EAFC store using points you earn in games anyway. So save you money and spend the difference on Fifa Points and buy all the packs you want in a happy hour.If you're still playing Pro Evolution, buy this as well and compare and see which you prefer, because I will choose this everyday of the year.Fifa 14 isn't massively different to its predecessor, but I definitely don't regret buying it.I'm not sure why but there's something more exciting playing with updated player stats,squads and kits, but I don't think this justifies forking out alone.The gameplay is a lot more refined than previous Fifa's. The controls are sharper more responsive with an increase in the number of animations making gameplay much more slick. Through balls and chance creation is more intuitive than before, and its less frustrating than before.But don't get me wrong it's still a frustrating game. This is because headers have increased scoring probabilities than previous years, which means that the squad you build has to reflect that, though it can be incredibly frustrating when Defoe will beat Chiellini to a header he was no where near.All in all - It's a great game, there's new tweaks to modes (career mode is revamped and has less lag in simulation, menus have marginally less lag, ultimate team is more or less the same except with new chemistry styles, which doesnt change things a whole lot, and they removed formation types from players - which is a very good thing).Overall buy Fifa 14 for xmas, don't buy Ultimate Edition, you're better off spending the money difference of Fifa Points to buy Packs in a happy hour as you only get standard gold packs per week, when it would have been more beneficial to get them all in one go due to market deflation on ultimate team. The other extras included are pointless, that you can just buy using EA Club points, earnt very easily by playing games etc.

A few weeks ago my PS3 gave up on me after 6 years of impeccable service! This Friday just gone my PS4 bundle arrived with Infamous: Second Son & as a life-long football sims fanatic, FIFA 14 was always going to be a day one purchase for me. Despite only being 24 hours into my PS4 life I must say that so far I have been very impressed.Straight away the in game menus seem sleek and much more responsive. Loading times are noticeably faster than on the PS3 as you'd expect. As for the graphics, just wow! The crowd improvements are most impressive, every goal is greeted with a realistic reaction from the home or away supporters. I scored a goal with Milan away to Barcelona and the celebration scene cut to a section of Milan fans high up in th Nou Camp going crazy,very authentic.As for the gameplay, by no means revolutionary changes from its PS3 incarnation but certainly an improvement. Player reactions seem a bit more real and the games tend to be a bit more fluid. Online so far also seems very smooth.The lack of any real ground breaking improvements or additons to the game coupled with the fact that in 6 months I have had to shell out £80+ on FIFA games prevents it from getting a 5 star.Its a great platform for EA to build on for FIFA 15. The power in the PS4 is clearly there and lets see if the games developers can do the hardware justice!

I pre ordered this at the start of September as I was getting excited for the game, as I've always been a fan of FIFA. I ordered the Ultimate edition, as i share the game with my brother who loves Ultimate team. At the time I wasn't fussed about the price, it came on time which was brilliant as I've had late deliveries in the past. I played a full evening's worth of FIFA and was pleased that it was better than last year's game and the demo, but there sadly is a problem with the game. EA have improved the variety of shots you can now have when playing, but as brilliant as these new animations and variations are, it's incredibly hard to score. I started a career mode at Manchester United,played a cup match against Gillingham. I played a strong side and after countless attempts scored in the 120th minuet. In the game I had over 20 shots and only one went in!?! Another game I played was against Arsenal, I scored in the first half and dominated it. In the second half they have two chances and surprise surprise they both go in and I lose the game.I prefer the gameplay on the whole, career mode is brilliant this year. But after paying close to £60 and struggling to fulfil the main aim of football, score goals. I know wish I'd bought the normal edition and saved my money up for GTA 5.

The new adition to the fifa family it's a great improvement over its predecessor. The players move in a more realístic way and are more Clever on their movements, making awesome attacking plays. Defenders are also tougher and their physical strengh can be used to win challenges over any opponent, it's just not about player speed now. Now about the ultimate edition... The gold packs every week are a great bónus and make ultimate team even more addictive, for those of you that never tried it, it is a great incentive to start. I recommend fifa to anyone who loves football and wants a realistic game experience. This edition I only recommend if it's bought with some discount,since is too expensive ar its normal price.

This is a really good game. The game modes are awesome. The whole Fifa eco system is brilliant, and goes from strength to strength. I am really impressed at the level of detail. Things the grass looks more real. The crowd are more believable. And from time to time on the sideline you see the cameraman shooting. So that really adds to the atmosphere. Graphics side of things looks awesome. The game level and structure is top notch. And full marks. To EAThis is a really good game if your into football. And a must for all Fifa nuts.

Great buy. Ultimate team is certainly the best mode and allows you to make your dream team and having the app on your phone makes it even more immersive! However, to get your dream team a lot of hours need to be put in. So unless you will have this time then just buy the normal version. I like the new gameplay a mix of passing and dribbling whereas the past two years focused too much on one or the other.

I bought this game for the memory's and the memory's have all come back. Hours and hours of this game came back to be but this time in HD. I'm not going to go on to long about this product because I know the company who sent this don't own the game. But they do deserve and well done in postage. Quick, protective and just amazing.

Besides GTA this takes the best spot in the market. I love Fifa 14, just don't get ultimate edition. The gold packs are terrible. If you want my advise, Buy normal edition then a PSN voucher or coins from eBay and buy premium gold packs or an EA Sports Season Ticket to get you started. Still highly recommend

I knew this was a hit when I could hear my son and his friends from the bottom of the road. Not being a gamer I couldn't believe that it could be that engaging ! All the boys thought it was fabulous ... FIFA 13 was great and this doesn't disappoint I'm told - it was worth buying the next edition.

Being a HUGE FIFA/FOOTBALL FANATIC! I decided to purchase this product on the PS3 to go with my Xbox 360 Copy so I could play online with my friends and family and WOW! I was NOT disappointed. I am overall really pleased with my purchase. I would 100% recommend this product!

Purchased in an amazon lightning deal so the price was reasonable. Game play I feel is the same as last year and the major improvements include the visuals and game load speeds. Online play is just as good. Overall worth the upgrade as long as you can purchase in a deal.

Bought this as a Christmas present for my son, he loves it. Can't really review myself as not at all interested in football or ps3!! But It seems I made the right choice! So by my sons reaction I give this game 5 stars

Its' FIFA, its the ultimate edition, need I say more! Delivered as being the next step up at the time for football gaming and the Ultimate edition made me continue to love the online gaming part, with regular packs!

Bought for my 13 year old Son who like many 13 year olds are Football fanatics. My Son has got so much pleasure and enjoyment from this already and will get many many hours more too.Very good indeed (he says)
