First of all I am not a kiddie reviewing this but a near 40 something football fan who has played most football games since football manager came out on the ZX Spectrum 48k in 1981. This game sees a change from the usual fifa type games and is more cartoony and arcady the sort of game ideal to pick up and have a quick 30minute session playing. The only downside is you cant seem to create an international team tournament but all your club teams from various leagues are present and available to select. You can play online, a basic manager mode and create a tournament and compete in various cups and leagues from across the world. The graphics are crisp and vibrant and suit the wii superbly but more importantly the chanting and sounds are second to none, commentry that is fluid and actual team specific chants , My team Cardiff City chant in the swansea slums for example and the hey jude song but replaced with la la la city. This is a great touch. You shoot by flicking up the wii remote and control the nunchuck to move your players around and press a to pass. Its quite tricky to start off I lost 8-2 in my first game but after some endeavour lost 4-3 against the same team. So in summary this is not fifa as you know it but if you enjoyed Virtua striker or similair fun kick around arcade games Id defo go for it.now altogther barmy army

As someone who sits in-between the "hardcore" and "casual" categories of gamer, I thought I'd buy this on the strength of the Official Nintendo Magazine review, which gave it 80%-odd.And do you know what? I think it's a blast.I've owned the other FIFA games on the Wii, and I'm afraid I don't have the patience, the memory nor the dexterity to get to grips with the control combinations, and don't particularly want to sit through a realistic football simulator for a "real-life experience", as quoted from a PS3 review (I'd watch Sky Sports for that). This is an arcade-style game - nobody's trying to make out it's anything else. But having played it for a good 3½ hours last night,I'll be going back to it tonight - because it's fun!If you want serious football simulators with more options than any person could possibly remember in an entire lifetime, go out and grab a cheap X-Box, or a PS3. If you want a bit of arcade-style fun with your mates over a few cans, I really don't think you can go far wrong with this one. And that's what the Wii is all about.

I was surprised that the graphics were quite good. Not cartoonish, though not XBox either. I'm equally surprised that players don't get tired during games, or that my whole Liverpool squad completed the season without an injury (Rafa would be jealous).Manager Mode not a patch on even Playstation FIFA 99, with limited team setup & control. The "Boosters" addition is ridiculous. My team won the FA Cup, yet the board were disappointed because Dirk Kuyt (weirdly pronounced) didn't score 2.The free kick controls are highly contrived and there to make up for the lack of proper goalkeeper control. These two gimmicks seem incongruous.I'm also surprised that no attempt is made to use the motion detectingaspect of the Wiimote so steer players rather than Nunchuck.I did enjoy the commentary and the grounds are well realised.I've enjoyed a few seasons with this game but I don't think it's a longterm keeper. And the box picture is annoying. Enough with the shouting already. They look like a working-class "3 Tenors" tribute act.

I was given this as a christmas pressie by my wife who didn't think I would bother that much with it but I think it's brilliant !! I actually make time to play the game almost each day to get my wee fix !! I can see why serious gamers poo poo it but really if you have a young-ish family they will have great fun.my daughter (12 yrs old) and I play it and I play battle for glory which is one of the manager type games and you can buy players from all over the world for your team. if your team is further down the leagues you wont be able to buy messi straight away you will need to improve your teams rating first.but the transfer windows and all round manager experience are brilliant although I am new to this gamer lark.if you have a young family and want to get a footie game that is quite easy to get the hang of, with differing levels of difficulty, and one you can play with all the family go with this one.

for any one who's played arcade football games in the past, this will bring up alot of memories. but it still doesnt loose that instinctive fifa feel. its got all the stadia, teams, players, everything. youve got to remember that making a full football simulator like on Xbox and PS3 is difficult on a system like the wii. dotn buy this expecting simulation, buy it expecting hours, and hours of entertaining end to end football. and for those to say its easy so score, this isnt true. the fifa 09 gk models were awfull and this is a vast improovment. and the online play is vastly better (because it works). also people have said that ther arnt any options and customizable stuff. so what?it doesnt effect the gameplay in any way and doesnt make it any less entertaining.

After looking at some of the reviews on here previously I was quite concerned if Fifa 10 would be a good buy but I am happy to say that regradless of those opinions this game is a vast improvement on previous editions of the fifa series. The Manager Mode is much improved and less fiddly to use than previously and you get a lot more feedback from the Board of Directors of the club you are managing. The gameplay is improved with excellent graphics (especially on an HD television). An improvement is also that free kicks can be taken straight away rather than the usual gap and cut scene.Their are a few glitches but they don't ruin or spoil the gameplay and if you can buy this cheap it's a good, fun football game.

I bought this game for my 6 year old and he loves it, because he can score goals. yes it is arcade like, but the Wii was built and advertised for multi play and for getting families involved. Nintendo know their core market and they have aimed Fifa10 Wii at this market and it will please those young kids who just want to enjoy seeing their heroes scoring goals and easy free kicks.PS3 and XBox Fifa10 is just to hard with to many options and buttons for your average 6 year old to cope with. if you want graphics, hard gaming then get a PS3 or X box. if you want to have fun with your kids, score loads of goals, then get a Wii and Fifa 10.

Fifa 10 is a great kids game and very enjoyable. Fifa 10 has some downsides to the game like: Shooting, because you can shoot from really far out and you will more than likley score and you also can't direct your shot. Another problem with the game is, the free-kicks and penalties, because you have an arrow and whatever part of the arrow you shoot on, the shot goes that speed or the harder it is to save. So overall it is a pretty good game.I CAN'T WAIT 'TIL FIFA 11, I'm already saving up.Thanks

Im not a huge gamer, and do not have the Xbox etc of this world. I got the Wii for me and my son to play who is now 5. We play a range of games, Mario Kart to Tiger Woods 10.For what we want it for it is perfect. He can play with the intuitive controls and Ill play with the nunchuck, which normally leads to good games.Yes, it has it problems. Tackling leads to fowls if from behind, free kicks are too easy to score etc etc. But, we have a great time, so what I bought it for ticks all the boxes.

After reading some reviews about Fifa 10, I thought i'd add mine, i can see why some more experience gamers may dismiss this game as simplistic, it is! But my 7 year old son loves it, it has introduced him to basic team changes, tactics etc.The transfer section is also a bit far fetched we've just bought Ronaldo and Cassillas(?) from Real Madrid but again for younger gamers it's kept his interest alive. A great arcade game but no simulation.

Was concerned about purchasing FIFA 10 over Pro Evolution, but glad I did. I don't have the patience to work out all the different moves. Anyone can easily play FIFA, shoot, save, attack, defend, etc. Has allowed all age groups to play the game. My Daughter has played a football game for the first time.I guess it's not everyones cup of tea, but for me and I guess many others, FIFA is an easier and better alternative to Pro Evolution.

This game is brilliant, its graphics are great (for DS) the gameplay is fantastic and the player skills are very accurate, you can take part in a variety of tournaments, and when you find it easy the harder settings will give you a very good game.I would highly recommend this game to anyone who has a DS and is interested in football, as it is one of the best games you can buy dor the DS- and that is saying something.

Bought this product for our son for Christmas and very impressed with the graphics and images of the various football grounds and players etc. Its very easy to navigate around the many options when it comes to playing the actual games be it international matches or the English Premiership League. Overall a really good buy and a must for any football fanatics like us !

I can only speak on behalf of my 8 year old son, who i have not seen much of in the last week or so since he got this game. He loves it and considering he has only just developed a liking for football, he seems to be happy. There is lots of grunting and the odd scream from his room, when he is playing and as it's football it seems normal to me.

Very good game on the wii, offering multiple ways of controlling the game. Difficulty settings are useful and have made the enjoyment factor for my young child even better. Lots of clubs to choose from.I would say that the referee seems somewhat harsh in "his" decisions!!! Red cards are very liberal.
