After seeing the only other footy effort so far on the PSP,World Tour Soccer, with it's dodgy gameplay, and aching to get my hands on a decent PSP football game,I thought I'd give this a try - this despite my allegiance to the God of football games,Pro Evolution Soccer. It turned out better than I thought it would - the gameplay is intuitive and feels right, although shooting is a bit off key. There is much reliance on the 'one touch' control which works well if you use it right. Attacking can be difficult,as the defences seem to work very well, and breaking away from a defender is very difficult.Commentary is very good, and obviously, all the licences are here. The graphics are fairly good, but figures at the far side of the pitch seem particularly small despite maxing out on the camera zoom.Overall,it's a fairly good purchase if you want a football game now for the PSP,but really I'd recommend this as a teaser before the mighty Pro Evo enters the PSP stage in November - if it plays and looks like the PS2 version, then it will definitely rule the roost!

Well after reading the other reviews i didn't really know what to expect of the game? Graphics to small to see..... no career mode...Well after regular playing i can say that the graphics are great, and the game play is excellent- if you have bad eye sight then its tough luck really - it is easy to follow, but i have yet to find aftertouch on free kicks (if there is any function). The players look great, commentry is good, and the stadiums are accurate, and the sound tracks aren't bad either. You can transfer all your favourite players into your team without a transfer fee (rooney and shevchenko as Nott'm Forest strikers!lol)The career mode does only last 1 season though and the reward points are not very rewarding for the hard work. The juggling mode is a nice little addition to the game & uses the full use of the width of the psp screen to it's advanage.Overall it is a great game but there is plenty of room for improvement.Lets hope we can get a propper management mode and possibly a create a player mode in future versions.Nice work though

fifa o6 is a great football game i no there is other football games out there but this is the best. there's no point playing pro evolution as they got rid of the master league and world tour soccer is just not in the same league as fifa 06. i have played o6 with my m8s and its good fun that's if your in to sweaty hands holding your hart in your mouth. To round fifa 06 up in to 1 its a game worth your money don't forget this is 1 of the best football games around so your not going to find any think better (gamespot rate it 8.7) (i rate it 8.5)remember this is fifa 2006 fifa and its been around for years its the football game i grew up with well except senceibal soccor on the amstrad or was itthe omega well it was the 1 with the great joystick with the red button on the top and the trigger button on the front i use to stick the suction pads to a mat for btr game play the good old days.hope i have helped

In my heart of hearts I am a Pro Evo man. I have tried the old Fifa 94 & bought Fifa 2004, only to be disgusted with the total lack of gameplay. The most important aspect of a footy console game!! I bought Pro Evo 5 on Xbox & think that it reigns supreme on the big screen. Yet, I've just got Fifa 2006 on PSP & rather suprisingly found it a very enjoyable experience. Dare I say, better than Pro Evo on PSP, of which I also own. Gameplay is good, graphics adeqaute, commentary fantastic & its always a delight to have proper names, teams & shirts from leagues ranging from English Championship to Brazilian 1st Div. With the juggling game pretty addictive, I'd recommend Fifa 2006 to any portable gamer.Just don't get carried away & dump your Pro Evo 5 just yet on PS2 or Xbox - that is the daddy of football games!!

It is a good game but it does not have a manager mode, no creation centre, it lacks graphic when it at a distance away from the players, it does not have all the extra's like on the ps2 version, there is no practice mode with all this it will be a 5 star. the good things are in a match that you can do all the same things although there are less buttons, you can go online with the game and download the updated squads, there is a mini game called juggling that you juggle the ball with the directional buttons, you can go online, listen to loads of music, you can change your game pace with the select button, the stadiums are so realistic, easy to make cutom leagues and cups.

This game is very nice. It has great graphics, cool presentation, but mediokre gameplay. It is to tough to get up the field and have a nice shot because It gets stolen a little to easily. I have played three games and they have all ended in a 0-0 tie. But its cool how you can choose to have an overtime, have a shootout, or call it a draw. That is pretty cool. I still had fun with all the stuff you can do from challenges to seasons. I liked the presententation and all of the options. Maybe I just have to get better to score. It is very tough to score, even if you set it on starter. All in All, Pretty good, most people would have fun playing it.

I bought Fifa 06 quite a while after it was first released. I love it. The modes are fantastic, graphics are amazing and the difficulty is challenging, not too hard but tricky! the juggling mode is fantastic, but do beware, it doesn't have carera mode, but i wasn't dissapointed. (it doesn't have the world cup either.) Even though it doesn't have world cup mode, you can play with international teams in friendlies, i found it great fun, an excellent game well worth what you pay for!

This is finest Footie game on a portable in ages, excellent graphics, you can see everything on the PSP screen. The controls use the paddle (nice idea). The sound captures the game emotions and gameplay (come on liverpool). The multiplayer is a bonus. If have a PSP this is game for you. Also the replay features really show the power of PSP. A Suggestion to all the newbies adjust the gaming level to amatuer for a better game.EA have given FIFA a new Home.
