I bought this as it an extra add on for my HKC battery saw. It’s a good idea to have a parallel fence when cutting and ripping thin lengths of board or timber. It tightens up solidly when attached to the saw so cuts will be exact. I didn’t realise when I purchased this but it can also be used to create a larger footprint base for more stability with the saw. Well designed and solid aluminium/plastic construction.

Having used DeWalt , Milwaukee , and other circular saws with the corresponding guides , this product made theirs appear to be low quality after thoughts . Because this guide is mounted at the front and rear of the base of the saw , it gives you unprecedented stability during the cut , especially at the end of the board because so much of the guide is still in contact with board as the blade clears the end .
